  1. Speaking of, how much longer before someone comes forward about Scott's frequent co-star, Willie Aames? Because, you know the truth is out there. Now we know how he played Joshua Rush so well. But seriously. I want Woody Allen held accountable. Not just for the pedophilia, but for his clear racism as well. I'd never ask him to write a movie where an AA or other minority is a lead character, but I DO believe he could do much, much better when he DOES include us in one of his films. When you can count the number of AA actors with even minor roles in Woody Allen's movies on one hand -- which is odd when you consider that the majority of them are set in NYC -- AND they're either maids or whores (for the women), or stereotypical "big, Black, beautiful buck" personal trainers (for the men), something is very, very wrong.
  2. Actually, time was up for Scott Baio (or at least his career) after "Happy Days" came to an end.
  3. That's the thing: IIRC, TWY ended with Kevin still in high school. According to Adult Kevin's narration, he graduated a year after everything in the series finale, including Kevin and Winnie's "first time," had transpired.
  4. Possibly. But it would have taken a lot of work, and I mean A LOT. As I've said on multiple occasions, so much of GL's core, its most valuable characters and families, had been broken down and sold for scrap that their cancellation was, in fact, a mercy killing. I hated to see GL "die," especially in that condition, but OTOH, it seemed as cruel to prolong its life any further.
  5. Was Hillary wrong to keep that man employed? Yes. IMO, docking his pay and reassigning his victim weren't enough. But it just galls me how quick the GOP are to vilify the left, and HRC in particular, while excusing away their own sins. The truth is, they lost forever any right to judge anyone the minute they hitched their respective wagons to Judge Roy Moore.
  6. Of all the GL opening themes, my favorite would have to be the original "My Guiding Light." Also, if I had to rank my favorite HW'ing regimes or eras of the show, Douglas Marland's definitely would come first. After him, would be Pam Long's two stint, followed by the Lorraine Broderick/Nancy Curlee/Stephen Demorest/James E. Reilly era.
  7. Not only that, but we need to cultivate more left-leaning types with deep pockets. As I've said before in this thread, we need to fight money WITH money. Oh, you know it. Just as you know that, constitutional crisis or no constitutional crisis, Trump is going to get fed up and fire Mueller eventually. Regardless of the bombshell that dropped yesterday about McGahn threatening to quit when Trump broached the subject back in June of last year. Well, I'll bet Fox News is just LOVING this!
  8. In those cases, I would tap another woman -- definitely not one who's a nominee in that category for that year -- to do the honor. I just feel like there needs to be a sort of passing-the-baton feeling to the presentation and acceptance of these awards.

Yeah, even "Elisabitch" would have mustered SOME sympathy for those kids who are now w/o their dad. People who have family histories of diseases such as Alzheimer's and many cancers are at an increased risk of developing those same diseases themselves in life. It's not "liberal media talk," it's just plain medical, scientific fact. But, if Alt-Right Barbie can't handle facts that don't come with the Fox News/Breitbart/Daily Caller/InfoWars stamp of approval, well, that's her damn problem. Which is so ironic, since conservatives are supposed to be about individual thought and freedom.
  10. Personally, I always thought it was ridiculous to have men present Best Actress, women present Best Actor, and so on. If I had my druthers, the previous year's winner in that category would be the one presenting the next year. IOW, whoever won Best Actress LAST year should present Best Actress THIS year. To tell you the truth, I always thought was David Copperfield was gay. So this news is kinda surprising to me.
  11. You're right. Now that I think further about it, I DO seem to recall Lou becoming virulently anti-Muslim/pro-Trump toward the end at CNN.
  12. Frankly, I think Lou Dobbs went full-on Howard Beale after CNN canned him. But I could be wrong.
  13. to infinity.
  14. Ah. Well. That just shows to go you how ignorant that organization is about a great many things. Even if a (fake) news network COULD openly declare war on the FBI and the Justice Department, don't they realize that at least one of those entities might have files on their top execs that could be leaked to the media "accidentally"? Do they REALLY want to poke that bear?
  15. You're not alone.
  16. FN?
  17. The drumbeat after each scene, though, is ridiculous. It's like they thought PP was a comedy.
  18. Wow, I had NO idea Marcia McCabe had ever been on AMC!
  19. She must've been taking notes from this... ...or maybe she paid attention to this link that I emailed her?
  20. You know, I've often wondered if ABC blamed York for that story tanking and that that's why Mac ended up not just on the back burner afterward but practically off the stove entirely.
  21. I've heard that, and frankly, it puzzles me. Why on Earth bring back an EP whose first run was a disaster for fans and critics alike? IMO, P&G would have been much better off asking someone like Ed Scott or David Shaughnessy (both from Y&R) or GH's former EP, Wendy Riche.
  22. He must be cutting back.
  23. Basically, yes. He went WAY over budget and that, plus the steep ratings decline, pretty much guaranteed GL would never, ever recover.
  24. My God. The resemblance between Roya and Susan Lucci is STAGGERING. I wish they had coaxed Roya into joining AMC as some long-lost relative of Erica's.
  25. Oh, Mitch, lol. Here's the thing about John Conboy as an EP: he ALWAYS brought a glamorous, refined touch to whatever show he was tasked with running. However, gorgeous actors, atmospheric lighting and tasteful set and wardrobe designs don't mean a damn if you don't have good writing to back it all up with. He had that with Bill Bell, of course, at Y&R; and later, with Peggy O'Shea and Henry Slesar at CAPITOL. Otherwise, though, he might as well have just stayed home. I think I've mentioned this here before, but it seems Pam Long and Jeff Ryder DID mean for the Cabin Mystery to have more of an impact on the canvas -- specifically, where the Spauldings were concerned. There was a plan to introduce Brandon and Sharina's offspring, integrate them with the rest of the family and with Springfield, etc. However, P&G got nervous about the idea of there being AA Spauldings and forced the two to drop the plan entirely.
