  1. Nah, Winger's good. I'd love it if Brett Kavanaugh were left to twist in the wind for all eternity. But, a week's better than nothing.
  2. But, you might not be too far off the mark. Something happened for Flake to give us all a Tulsa turnaround; and sometimes, what seems like the craziest thing that could happen, is also the very thing that's happening.
  3. Unless...he knows something.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if someone (Ronan Farrow?) were to discover that the money for those "baseball tickets" was, in fact, a payoff in exchange for someone's silence. ...And just where IS Mark Judge these days?
  5. Well, @marceline, your fanfiction's a lot better than mine. Also, I agree. Mark Felt Deep Throat was right: always follow the money.
  6. Yep. Meanwhile, it comes down once more to [!@#$%^&*] Mitch McConnell. Someone please take that tortoise out of office.
  7. Sadly, I'm beginning to feel that way, too. Animosities keep festering. Incidents keep piling on top of incidents. The centre cannot hold. IKR? Susan, girl, stop milking the suspense. We all know already how you're going to vote. So, just say it and let us get back to our regularly scheduled disappointment.
  8. "I'm stunned," said absolutely no one in the entire universe. Oh, well. Midterms. (Oh, that's right, he's leaving anyway. Whatevs. See you on "Dancing with the Stars," Flake.)
  9. Seriously? LOL!! He is soooooo not her type. Only a fool would think otherwise.
  10. Same. I appreciate the ABA's efforts...and that's all I'm gonna say about that.
  11. Yup.
  12. From the look of that album cover, it seems AMC's Janet Green threw her down the well, too. This song sounds very, very modern for Babs. I'm actually surprised.
  13. “Probably refers to throwing up,” Kavanaugh said. “I’m known to have a weak stomach and always have.” I have an unpredictable stomach myself. Which is why I don't drink beer. How did this man ever get through law school?
  14. A relevant and, I must add, bittersweet surprise. Here's how I see it: whether or not Kavanaugh gets confirmed, there is an empty seat on the SCOTUS bench, and it will be filled during the Trump administration, and it will be filled with a conservative judge. We can HOPE and PRAY the next one won't be AS conservative, but it won't be anyone who won't turn back progress in LGBT, reproductive, civil and other rights for a generation or more. There's just no getting around those facts. So, yeah, go ahead and confirm the mean drunk who likes to rough up women. (I'm sure Clarence Thomas could use the company.) I'll just redirect my attentions toward midterms. But, ladies, I must warn you that if any of you find yourselves in a situation where you have to be alone with this man at any time, for any reason, for God's sake, bring a friend.
  15. Well, you came awfully close this afternoon!
  16. [!@#$%^&*], I'll settle for paying for his trip to the Betty Ford Clinic. #GetHelpBrett
  17. I hope so, too. I would love for this to go the way I think it should, but I won't hold my breath. Regardless, I hope we all remember everything that happened today, come time to vote in November. Maybe we can't stop Kavanaugh's confirmation, but we could sure as [!@#$%^&*] do something about the men and women who put him there.
  18. Little does anyone know, however, that they're actually discussing whether to tour in support of their new album, which is expected to drop in time for Christmas.
  19. I wouldn't have expected anything less from a man whose last name is "Flake." (Of course, I'm kidding.)
  20. "Kavanaugh's pushback to the suggestion he drank to excess in college is that he got into Yale Law School, so he couldn't have [been] that big of a boozer." Oh, my God. I've known people who were so drunk in college that they didn't even know their own names; and now, one of 'em is in medical school. Again, Brett, what in the hell are you talking about!? "Kavanaugh refuses to answer @CoryBooker's straightforward questions about whether he thinks Ford is part of a left-wing plot" Yet, he just accused everyone and their grandma of conspiring against him in the name of getting revenge for Bill and Hill. Seriously, I'm about to pull a Wendy Williams "I can't" on his ass. IOW, he looks at Sister Harris the way I would look at Angela Lansbury or Susan Lucci. Interesting. He's already held in contempt. Oh, you mean, by the committee! That's when I say, in my best Robin Strasser-esque voice, "I WANT the FBI to investigate. And I want the entire world to know exactly what you are. Which is a liar AND a rapist. Who doesn't deserve to sit on 'The People's Court,' let alone the Supreme Court!"
  21. I saw that much the first time Kamala Harris questioned him about the lawyer from the firm he supposedly couldn't remember chatting with. (So, maybe you have had blackouts after all, your honor?) The whole time she's talking, he was looking at her as if he were thinking, "Shouldn't you be back in the kitchen or something?".
  22. Where the hell are Ron Carlivati and his latex masks when you need them?
  23. Could we convince him to put back on the superhero cape and leather football helmet and sing that "cute" little song one more time? I think we could! (And I'm so glad I wasn't alone in thinking he was drunk.)
  24. BK: "I drank beer with my friends—almost everyone did. Sometimes I had too many beers, sometimes others did. I like beer. I still like beer." Okay. I'm-a tell y'all something, and you're gonna think I'm nuts for saying this, but here goes.... You've noticed how he was guzzling water during parts of his testimony, right? Well, there's a member of my mother's extended family -- a cousin, who's now an associate minister at Mama Khan's old church (although, his ordination papers are still suspect, but that's another story) -- who guzzles water that same way every Sunday when he's sitting behind the pulpit. (You can see it for yourself on one of the congregation member's FB page. Mama Khan and I certainly do.) The reason why he drinks so much water on Sundays? Because, he's JUST coming down from getting [!@#$%^&*]-faced the night before. IOW, my family member is an alcoholic. It's no secret, everyone in the family knows he is. I would not be surprised if Brett were an alcoholic as well. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he had had a few before giving that testimony.
