I hope Kevin's new co-workers at McDonald's, where USA Today is prominently sold, are giving him a REALLY hard time over that article.

I gave up on Miss Kelly when she came for Frederica Wilson (probably 'cuz she was jealous of her hats).

In a speech in South Korea, Trump referred to Kim as a “cruel dictator” and said he ruled the country “like a cult.” Pot, meet kettle. Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump have engaged in name-calling like a pair of snot-nosed schoolchildren; and now, North Koreans are calling for Trump's head. There's GOT to be a morning after.

Not a chance, lol. Whoever wrote that article isn't kidding about our shortfalls. As of right now, we have a $250 million deficit and every plan that our state legislature has come up with has been voted down, with Governor Mary Fallin threatening to hold the special session until Christmas if that's what it will take. The issue? All proposed remedies favor the energy industry (who LOVES Governor Fallin, who loves them right back), while everything and everyone else, if certain Republican congressmen have their way, will be taxed into the poorhouse. Sound familiar? Even better: according to one source, Allison Ikley-Freeman is openly gay and in a same-sex marriage. I doubt most who voted for her even knew that. But, if they did, then that just shows to go you how desperate we are for change in OK.

Here's one more. It's the "Saturday Night Live" theme for the 1980-81 season. A really great theme, for a really bad year. I'd also add the theme for "The David Letterman Show." Not "Late Night with David Letterman" or "The Late Show with David Letterman," but the original NBC daytime talk show. Unfortunately, I can't track down any YT clips that have JUST the theme song and/or title sequence.

For some reason, he looks much older in that top photo than I had expected.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I think it's fine for an actor to sing and dance, provided 1) his character is, in fact, a professional entertainer; or 2) there's an actual, story-driven reason (no matter how hokey) for the number -- like, say, as part of a talent show that everyone in town is participating in to raise money for something or someone? Otherwise, regardless of their level of talent, I think it's just so damn awkward to watch.- The Politics Thread
"to finance election campaign 2016" Seriously?? Not even the villains on "Scooby-Doo" would be so obvious!- ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
So, is Andy Kavovit done with acting? If so, that's a shame. I always thought he was a good actor.- Hollywood Sexual Harrasment/Assault Thread
That IS a good article, Carl! Thanks!- ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
There's nothing "innovative" about Christmas lights you keep up all year round. In fact, where I come from, we call it life at the trailer park.- The Politics Thread
Little Donnie must have ridden the short limo everyday to prep school as a child. An affair between a 19-year-old and a 45-year-old might be unseemly under any circumstances, but it certainly isn't breaking any laws. Ergo, Ann Coulter's argument is stupid.- ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Lindsay wasn't on SBTB:TNC? I thought she was! My bad!- Hollywood Sexual Harrasment/Assault Thread
Then, just to make sure Maury and his studio audience get that point, Mia Farrow runs to the monitor at the back of the stage and points repeatedly at the facial similarities between her son and Ol' Blue Eyes. ("Look at their noses, Maury, look at their noses!!") (Maury: "Up Next: The DNA Results Are Read! Will Ronan and Mia receive the news they've been waiting for? And later on in our broadcast, it's another, star-studded DNA drama, as we learn, once and for all, who is the biological father of "Stranger Things" star Sean Astin!")- Hollywood Sexual Harrasment/Assault Thread
If ever someone needed to appear on "Maury"....- ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
If she were a movie star on the same level as, say, Julia Roberts, then I would understand the bitchery. But, come on, aside from ten years on a "soap opera" that people only watched to make fun of, what has Lindsay really DONE with her career? Does "Saved by the Bell: the New Class" carry some high cache that I don't know about?- Hollywood Sexual Harrasment/Assault Thread
ICAM. But I also agree with dragonflies: GG's got them over the proverbial barrel. If they allow her to exit the franchise at this point for any reason other than she simply doesn't want to play WW anymore, the backlash that will result from that decision will be EPIC. (No pun intended.)- The Politics Thread
Actually, Carl said it, and I just agreed.- The Politics Thread
Really?? It might be too early to play this, but how often do I get to play this for Sean Hannity? - ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
