  1. Whoever said GH was trying to sell Chase and BLQ's nuptials as The Wedding of the Century was bang-on, lol. I'm sure JS and AS are lovely people IRL, but as I've said before, there is nothing about the characters they play, especially in regards to romantic or sexual chemistry (or lack thereof), that makes them interesting to me. Foster and Annabelle had more "heat" than Chase and BLQ, and that is just so wrong on so many levels!
  2. That's funny, because if anyone ever looked like they ate too much at the fair, it was Tom Eplin circa ATWT, lol. I'll be honest: I loved watching Larkin Malloy as a kid, from EON (with Mama Khan), to GL (again, with Mama Khan), to AMC. (Our local ABC affiliate had dropped LOVING long before he joined as Clay). And I loved Keva more than I did Jeva. But it seems like both GL and AMC went out of their ways to ruin the characters LM was playing and the relationships his characters were part of, which makes me wonder if he was very unpopular BTS at both shows.
  3. I remember when someone from the show (Goutman?) talked up how the globe in that opening was comprised of clips from old episodes, and I thought, "How am I supposed to be impressed by that, when we can barely see 'em!?"
  4. For reasons I will never, ever, EVER understand.
  5. You're not wrong about any of this, my friend, lol! Oh, and people need to leave LW the [!@#$%^&*] alone.
  6. IF you have the right actor…which GH does not, lol. I apologize to everyone for coming across as bitter, but I’m still pissed about PM. And poor Dan O’Connor! It’s one thing for you and your Co-HW to be fired because your writing’s no good, but when your Co-head’s hired back and you’re not…? I’m hoping they asked Dan back, too, and he just said no. Otherwise, it just makes him look REALLY bad.
  7. In a way, Patrick Mulcahey quitting/getting fired was a blessing in disguise for me. At least I won't have to suffer through too much more of this [!@#$%^&*].
  8. How much time does an EP need to say, "I'm sorry, but I think our money would be better spent elsewhere. Thanks for playing, Ms. Francis, and enjoy the home version of our game!" Better yet, how much time does an EP need to pick up the damn phone, call the suits at ABC and say, "Look, Genie (and Tony) made this company MILLIONS back in the day, the LEAST we can do is give her a damn contract"? IOW, saying "I have no time now" is just another way of saying, "Go away, kid, you're bothering me!"
  9. I swear Frank thinks he's producing "America's Got Talent: Kids Edition!" and not GH.
  10. Frank is still butt-hurt that he was forced to give Genie a contract. That's why he had the writers give her a thankless job (as PC's mayor) and stick her with boring-ass Kevin (whom everyone knows belongs with Lucy!) instead of creating a brand-new love interest for her.
  11. I agree! All GF has done is save GH from cancellation and become a pop culture phenomenon in the process. But I guess that means zilch compared to what Steve Burton or Maurice Benard has done for the show, right, GH?
  12. And of course, MB, SB and LW are leading in most of these photos and GF isn't leading in any of them. SMDH.
  13. Hopefully, it won't start with some little girl warning that "evil is coming!"
  14. Yep! So, what happens if/when the writers decide to have Chase or BLQ have a (sexless) affair? Will Josh or Amanda be concerned about how that infidelity will come across to their kids as they're surfing the interwebs? IMO, there's a difference between respecting the actors' wishes and allowing the actors to hold the show hostage. What Josh and Amanda are doing is no different than what MB, SB and TG have done; and frankly, it needs to stop. It was more like a joke, but okay, lol. More than likely, if Finn were to crash his car while intoxicated, Chase would die from his injuries, and either Finn would go to prison for manslaughter, or he'd have to leave PC (with Violet!) in disgrace.
  15. Well, I stand corrected on the religious aspects, but I stand behind by everything else I've said. Amanda (and Josh) really should think about working elsewhere if they're not entirely comfortable with doing intimate scenes for whatever reason, because I am so not here for this chaste as hell Jane Austen crap. Especially when neither the actors nor their characters are interesting enough to pull it off. Like you said, @carolineg, GH's love scenes are pretty tame - in fact, I find most love scenes on soaps to be pretty tame these days - and it's not as if they're having to do full-frontal nudity or perform anal sex or anything. I agree! I'm totally okay with a scenario that involves Finn getting drunk and behind the wheel of a car, Chase trying to get him to pull over and let him drive instead and Finn crashing the car and killing them both.
  16. I'm sure Josh Swickard would welcome the change! He can't be happy playing Almanzo Wilder to Setton's Half-Pint every day.
  17. Yup, lol. On the one hand, I totally respect Setton's religious convictions. But, on the other hand, if she's not comfortable anymore playing love scenes or wearing clothes that show off more than her wrists and ankles, then maybe a job on a daytime soap opera is not for her. And I say that as someone who is a devout Christian. (Same goes for Steve Burton, by the way! Steve? If you're reading this? God is not going to send you to Hell if you parade around on camera in a Speedo or make out on screen with someone who is not your wife. He gets that you're just acting, okay? Besides, that tattoo sleeve you're sporting these days has Him a lot more concerned than flashing that six-pack.)
  18. So, it's not just Elizabeth Korte who props those two (although, she's probably the most flagrant offender). Thanks, @Liberty City!
  19. Were Chris and Dan pro-Carly/Sonny as well, or did they have a more balanced view of those characters?
  20. I tried to watch SC when it premiered and I just couldn't get past one episode.
  21. I'm no psychiatrist, but it sounds to me like Mr. Granger was a perfectionist who was being much too hard on himself.
  22. He didn't even get his name on the door yet, lol! I'm not sure if I would've liked Drew getting involved in politics. I would've needed to see that play out a little bit before making up my mind. But, it's probably moot now.
  23. I think what gets me the most about that storyline is not that the writers are attempting to redeem Heather after 20-plus years of bad behavior, but the means through which they're doing so. A poisonous hip replacement!? That's "Sun Also Sets"-level stupid, lol. I could buy PM not going along with the Hip Replacement from Hell (despite rumors/reports suggesting otherwise) but I can't buy that issue alone being the dealbreaker. I think the straw that broke that camel's back - more than even Korte's Carly bias, in fact - is exactly what @Vee alluded to above: the rumor(s) that FV refused to let him trim the cast. You can swallow your pride and write that Heather is all better now with her new hip, but coming up with good storylines for 450 characters (including all those damn kids) while still writing Latham/Lechowick-esque scenes that can't run longer than an Ozempic ad? Girl, no.
  24. Now I'm wishing she would ask EB for his favorite curse word, or what MTS hopes to be the first words she hears when she arrives in Heaven.
