It's sad to say but the next democratic nominee has to be straight and male. I've got two in mind right now, no matter what their skeletons are: Gavin Newsom and Hakeem Jeffries. Two straight good looking males. I would love to one day see a gay person or a woman become President, but there's a ton of people who don't, unfortunately.

Going to bed. America just wasn't ready for a woman President. What a shame. I feel so bad for Americans right now and I worry about my friends and family living there.

You're right. I was mistaken. Thought GOP only needed to flip 2, but they need 3.

It's depressing when you keep refreshing to see the Harris go from 70% to now 52% in PA. I feel sick too.

Replubicans flipped a senate seat in West Virginia. Damn. As much as Joe Manchin gets crapped on, at least he wasn't a Republican.

It's November 5th. Please, America, don't let American democracy die today. Make history by electing the first woman President and end this Trump nightmare of the last 8 years once and for all. To every American on this board, I'm rooting for you guys. Good luck!

2024: The Directors and Writers Thread
GH: - Celena Cipriaso first listed as Breakdown Writer on November 1 Wow, surprised they gave this big episode as her first one at GH. Celena wrote 4 scripts for AMC in 2010. From https://www.roadmapwriters.com/executive-bio/celena-cipriaso#bio_testimonials "Celena Cipriaso is a first-generation Filipina/American, who worked on Seasons 1-3 of THE CLEANING LADY for Fox and was most recently an Executive Story Editor. Previously a Staff Writer on CBS/Secret Hideout’s CLARICE, she worked her way up as a writer’s assistant on shows like STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. She was a fellow of the 2017-2018 NBC Writer’s on The Verge Program and was named as one of the up-and-coming TV writers for 2023-2024 Next List by Coverfly and Tracking Board. She got her start in TV helping her grandma learn English by watching All My Children (which she also eventually became a writer for). In another life, she was a pop culture and beer journalist for outlets such as CNN, Slate, and the Root."

Finally we get a list of the writing staff! Let's start at the top. So Guza was able to secure an equal Co-HW billing instead of a secondary Co-HW billing. Susan Dansby is either an Associate Head Writer or Script Editor, but usually the Script Editor is listed before/with the Script Writers. Every Breakdown Writer has a lot of daytime experience, except for Gregori J. Martin, who is new to daytime. From what I've heard about Ron Carlivati, he's really great to work with. He's never worked with MVJ so she must've been impressed with his breakdown writing abilities. Chris Dunn and MVJ worked together at Santa Barbara in the early 90's, but haven't worked together since. Teresa Zimmerman and Sara A. Bibel has never worked with MVJ. Jazmen Darnell Brown has only 18 episode as a daytime writer (he worked at DAYS). Cheryl L. Davis, Lynn Martin, Danielle Paige, and Judy Tate all have daytime experience. And I don't believe any of them has worked with MVJ on a daytime soap. Also, all the script writers are black. There could be changes later on as some writers might not gel with the show or with MVJ in the writers room. And lastly, no Patrick Mulcahey on staff! Damn. I wanted him a as script writer on this show. NOTE: I'm only going by daytime soap opera credits. I don't if any MVJ has worked with any of them outside of daytime.

GH: October 2024 Discussion Thread
Yeah, Drew/Willow should've had an affair that went on for months, with the secret building up to it coming out at some party/event......you know like what happens in a soap opera! What a waste. The show was on fire in August but September and October have been disappointing. They lost all the momentum.

After one listen, I'm not feeling it either. We'll see if that changes when I hear it more. I hope a new album means a new tour. I've never been to her concert so I would like to go see her on the next tour. I've been addicted to "Applause" since attending two Eras Tour concerts in the summer (it's the second last song on the pre-show playlist before Taylor starts). I don't remember this song being released as the lead single from Artpop......in fact, I don't remember of Artpop at all when looking at the songs on the album. LOL

Violet may know have been an interesting character, and annoying at times, but, mark my words, Jophielle Love will have a very bright future. Her natural ability to do emotional scenes at such a young age is going to take her far in this business. I can see her only getting better as she gets older. I also can see her having a shot in the music industry. She's only 10 years old and already has the ambition to write her own music. I think that's impressive. I plan to quote this message in the "Where are they now?" thread when her star gets big in the future. LOL
