  1. I agree; reminded me of Christmases on the Snyder farm from my childhood. Miss those times.
  2. date: Wednesday, December 24, 2025 | Sara A. Bibel, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford Thoughts: Anita distracting herself by making this the perfect Christmas to remember. It is very, very realistic, and the home is decorated as warmly as ever. Not a plaque for the 'shouse'. Whew. I cannot wait to see it on what I am sure will be the tackiest front door in Fairmont Crest in 2026. I appreciate these moments between Dana and Eva. The humanisation of Dana in these moments is what we should be seeing more of. Okay, those Vegas-themed ornaments that Andre and Dani got each other were cute and very personalised. Love that. Chelsea and Naomi talking about the 'ho ho ho' is hilarious. "Go bake some cookies for him. Hell, be the cookie." Ooo-wee, Dana, I can agree on that one. That is the sound advice you should be giving. Nicole is a bit... frosty towards Sharon... and I get why, but it is the holidays, so she should temper herself. The gang-up on Anita in such a playful way by her family is hilarious and very heartwarming. I love it. So, so much. And Vernon's gift to Anita is precious and shows their history together. There is a Christmas version of Shanice? Okay, then. So, there we have it (as I have suspected since day one): Sharon was giving Vernon private singing lessons for this Christmas miracle for Anita! So beautiful! Notes: Bibel and Martin provided the perfect holiday episode! Love their work together. I love the introduction of history and traditions by way of telling them via modern happenings (i.e., the worst gift/the best gift, etc.). Seeing everyone gather within the Dupree set singing Christmas songs is beautiful and shows the true meaning of family that this soap represents, and that is long missing from American daytime soaps. So blessed to have it back. The final scene of Clifton Davis singing a song he wrote, a genuine classic, is amazing. And the looks from Tamara Tunie (Anita)? Yeah. I'm choked up.

  5. The set designers did a good job decorating for the first Christmas at the new studio. That's all I've got. 🤷🏻
  6. Honestly, a cute Christmas episode this year. No AI discussions, no business arguments, etc. it is just about family and history. Also, the flashback to the O.G. Newman Ranch makes me appreciate how much better the 'new' Ranch actually is as a set.
  7. Well, when the main viewing is DAYS....
  8. I feel like that's their target heading into 2026. New blood has been nice, but 'names', especially those we do not often see, could do well for this soap in the New Year.
  9. date: Tuesday, December 23, 2025 | Michael Montgomery, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Sonia Blangiardo-Goins Thoughts: Nicole laughing in Ted's face is the right reaction. Ted really should have prefaced it with that Dana is the one who fed him his information, which alone should be a glaring problem. The look of shock on Vernon's face and the heartbreak on Anita's face have been in my absolute feels. Looks like the con artist child bride is not getting everything she wanted. St Barts is not happening. Get over it, sweetiekins. DONNELL! BABY! HI! WELCOME HOME! PLEASE STAY THIS TIME! Not the 'deep throat message blower'. I never, ever thought American daytime would give me the words 'deep throat'. Ever. Oofmph, Vernon's frustration is well placed and is very, very real. His wife's battle is now facing him right in the face. Aw, the support and fight from Vernon is exactly what Anita needed to hear! Bill, ditch the bitch. Save yourself from the nightmare you are in. And of course she would walk out. Dani's reaction to the supposed thought of Vernon cheating on Anita with Sharon is priceless. Absolutely priceless. Joey inching his fingers into the con artist child bride's mind is something else; he is a master manipulator, truly. Aw, Donnell is such a good son to Vanessa. And he is very, very perceptive of Joey's involvement with her. I think it is admirable that Anita wants to give her family their Christmas together, and it is beautiful that Vernon wants to give it to her. So sweet and emotional. Oh yeah, she is falling for Bill more than she wants to ever admit. She is. Notes: Montgomery is a wonderful breakdown writer and his scripts paired with Brown are a match made in American soap Heaven. They work well together. More beautiful direction today by Blangiardo-Goins. The direction team know how to create visual masterpieces. Clifton Davis (Vernon) and Tamara Tunie (Anita) are the true leaders for this soap and its cast; they could all learn a thing or two from watching these two Legends do what they do. Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) brings the heat when it is called upon her, and it showed in today's episode.

  12. CHANNEL 5 TEASE REBOOT OF 'VERY BIG' DRAMA TITLE AND CHANNEL'S FIRST COMEDY DRAMA
  13. Aw, memories of Colleen today with Lily and Traci. Another character that should not have been killed off at the expense of Victor Newman. But the memories feel nice.
  14. That would never have been my childhood and if I do ever have children, it won't be theirs, either. Santa Claus does not need to be doing all of that on Christmas Eve. At all.
  15. 98% sure it is them, as several cast and crew follow them. Plus, I lightened the preview and it looks like them, a lot.
  16. Of course those who've bitched about this soap before it even came on, including calling the showrunner/creator a bootlicker because they won't produce their horrible comic story, would continue their bitchfest. I thought I was seeing properly: spoiler Jordi Vilasuso?
  17. Same. It is something that irks me across all soaps; based on yesterday's episodes of several soaps, they were 'tree trimming' on Christmas Eve or in the days preceding Christmas, and it just bothers me. And yes, I've known people who put theirs up on Black Friday or even before Thanksgiving, but that [to me] is too early because, by Christmas, you've got a dead tree with no scent, and no one wants that. At least by the beginning of December that scent should still be there by Christmas Day, or at least beginning to fade.
  18. date: Monday, December 22, 2025 | Ron Carlivati, Judy Tate | Anthony Pascarelli Thoughts: Triple-negative breast cancer? Oh my goodness. That sounds aggressive and scary, but I know that Anita is going to fight it with everything she has got inside of her. It is sweet that June brought ornaments that both Samantha and Tyrell made during their childhoods prior to joining the Richardson Smith family. Good on Ted for standing up against Dana about the 'Ted-dy' name. Hopefully it gets through her delusionally thick, hollow head. Tracy standing firm on Sharon's neck about her sneakiness. But uh-oh, here comes Vernon. Dr Ahn is very thorough and thoughtful to tell Anita to record her conversation. I feel like more doctors could/should do this. I know it may be unethical in [some] cases, but we are all human and prone to forget things we are told. Sharon and Tracy are terrible liars. So terrible. Make it more obvious, ladies. Whoa, now Naomi and Jacob are back to not talking? When and how did this happen?! Oh no. Poor Tyrell is heartbroken. I do think he remembers more than he is letting on to not entirely kill the mood, and for June's sake as well. Oh Lordy LordT... here comes the spoilt, self-centred bitch making her presence known. I share Eva's irritation with her arrival. Not the Dupree women's own curse of finding their Christmas presents but I cannot be mad at Naomi, because that gift does suck. But the sentiment behind it is relatively cute. Oh Anita, you poor dear, drinking alone at Uptown... but I am so happy that you called your sisters to join you. #ArticulettesStrong Aw, I love that the twins are reunited with Regina, or Aunt Gigi, as Tyrell remembers her as. How sweet. Wow. Got my ass emotional. Bill Hamilscrooge? Dani, please never stop being yourself! Notes: I could just tell it was a day we would be suffering through the writer's material. Le sigh. Tamara Tunie (Anita) is bringing her A-game with this breast cancer storyline and showing us why she was right for the role of Anita. She has heart, warmth and complete strength all wrapped up into her portrayal. I like that we are getting to hear different forms of breast cancer through this storyline; it is not just 'breast cancer', but something more complex and eye-opening. Brave to go there, and I am absolutely for it. And for something more prone to Black women than White women. Very smart storytelling by Michele Val Jean and Tracey Thompson. Love it. This is a gripe across all soaps: why are trees decorated the day before Christmas Eve? That just feels too late [to me] and a waste. Truly. They should be done sometime during the first week of December, at least; that is how my family has always done them. Gives you a full month of festive feeling and cheer. Cascade wanted their moment so they are BACK!
