  1. Yes, but per TV Tonight's reporting: ❝ Neighbours has actually been successful on Freevee, but Amazon axed the platform itself late last year, moving the soap to Prime Video. During that time the execs who had originally championed the recommission had also gone, with a change of direction under the new regime. ❞
  2. Her three-year mark is this month, so I suspect if she were leaving, the storyline would've been hinted at already.
  3. Same with Karla Mosley and Daphnée Duplaix, who travel back/forth from Atlanta to where their families are.
  4. I know some did move to Atlanta; Jen Jacob did relocate for the job, and some already did reside in Atlanta, or in the Atlanta area.
  5. Same!! He is a heavy recurring (a.k.a. tier one).
  6. Not everyone obsessing over age when age doesn't exist in the soap world. 🤣🤣 Everyone is so quick to tear it apart over stuff like this.
  7. The friendship between Dana ("Leslie), Jan & Mona is so nice. Good seeing recurring players being given purpose. Jan & Mona are working for the Duprees in some capacity, and Dana targeting them. It's brilliant. Vanessa & Diego are clearly "exercising" during their sessions, and the true cracks of her marriage to Douglas have begun! Juicy, mama! Eva vs. Katherine is going to be juicy. I love it already. Well, it looks like Eva might go against her momma feeling that connection to her supposed father. Oh wow, here comes Nicole's more momma tiger side where Katherine is concerned. How nice. So we're dropping actual blog sites like TMZ and the Shade Room?! Wow. Not the knock-off Gucci! The shade of it all! So we've got Jacob's father on the scene?! Whew. Welcome! Douglas is a gambler, I see. Interesting. I see this is likely where Joey Armstrong is going to come into play. The best mother-daughter pairing is Dana & Eva. I'm calling it now. I do like the chemistry between Nicole and Brandon as mother-in-law/son-in-law. S.O.L. Oh, so we're calling shït out of luck? Yes. GET IT, VANESSA! GET IT! GO ON, GIRL!
  8. Credits for Wednesday, March 5, 2025: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Elizabeth Korte, Chris Van Etten Writers: Suzanne Flynn, Charlotte Gibson, Cathy Lepard Director: Allison Reames Smith
  9. The two, to me, that need recasting are Derek & Martin! Neither appear to be engaging with their current actors. Realistically, if he were available, I'd take Sawandi Wilson (Isaiah, GH) and cast him as Martin. And while we know of Mike Manning's abilities from other projects, I'm also putting an asterisk next to him for a potential recast as well.
  10. From what we've seen reported, I fully believe the change from Freevee to Prime Video (which I preferred in terms of ads, etc.) and changing of executives is what killed Neighbours, and the fact it happened so recently leads me to believe there was [some] kind of hope for a renewal from Amazon MGM.
  11. The entire "soap" is juvenile and insulting and has been for quite some time. A lack of creative vision from the top all the way to the bottom.
  12. I'd say she's been popular since her debut. If I were TPTB on this soap, I'd be dropping Ben Gavin (Derek) to recurring and placing Ellie Wang (Caroline Lee) to contractual status; then, whichever next role gets cut/demoted is where Ernestine Johnson (Shanice Johnson) gets upped. Three months is nothing in comparison to the nine/ten months ahead in which DAYS shoots. Most American daytime soaps are six-to-eight weeks tape-to-air, so they're closer to the standard than DAYS. Even British soaps are more ahead in their production than most American ones. And them being ahead three months also gives them time to adjust and tweak now for episodes, etc. which is smart.
  13. It has taken me some time to get into The Bay, simply because its production model of the earlier years is very "indie" and it's not my favourite kind of look. But I can appreciate how he (along with Wendy Riche) have sustained that serial for as long as they have. They kind of set the standard. Same; they have zero control, and Michele Val Jean, Robert Guza Jnr & Sheila Ducksworth will keep their behinds in line.
  14. Well, that would be happening right about now, and since I don't see it happening, we're with her for an extended period of time. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Oh, it was very obvious.
  15. No; she's a heavy recurring. The actors in the opening credits are the 20 series regulars.
  16. Disappointed Martin has left, as I do like him and think he's destined for great things beyond The Bay.
  17. While I may not like Brad, I did enjoy seeing Parry Shen today, in every sense of the word.
  18. I could see that; the definitley endgame couple who often marry/re-marry others.
  19. I agree; they have chemistry as lovers and as exes, and I have a feeling they will be going back/forth as the serial goes on. I really do.
