  1. Strong opening, from Bill & Hayley, and then the Dupree family gathering for the press conference. I love that Dani walked in, ready to own the place (per usual). But the press isn't having it, despite Vernon trying to gussy up to the blonde reporter. Derek is giving jealous-possessive with Ashley where Andre is concerned, and he should be concerned. So cute naming the baby after Ashley; I had a feeling Alix would do that. A cute nod. Ms. Shanice is totally the gossip of Garland Memorial, and I am here for her presence. First night in, and Bill & Hayley are already butting heads. We love to see the cracks in the marriage already. Anita is definitely a blunt force; I can see where Dani gets it from, while Vernon and Nicole feel like the level-headed ones in the family. Interesting. It isn't the dynamic I thought we would get, based on the promos/publicity photos. Oh, Anita is giving the back story. We love to see it. Uh-oh Dani! Don't screw the pooch on this one. Shanice's maroon scrubs come with a longer thermal in a darker hue; kind of wish Ashley's teal scrubs did the same. Well, well, well.. here comes the drama couple! We love to see it. Disfiguring Hayley's face? Bill, it was a punch, and barely a mark appeared to be left on your precious wife's face. Oh, Martin has some kind of abusive/aggressive past, doesn't he?! Brandon is putting it together, doesn't he?! Teddy?! Oh no one is immune from Dani's wrath and bitten words. Oh, Brandon does not want to be the househusband. He wants to hit the ground running on his career. That's brilliant. Here comes Vernon's fire as the patriarch of the Dupree family. Oh, a flashback!! And Karla Mosley is in the dress she wore to the NAACP Image Awards. Beautiful. Mosley & Timon Kyle Durrett have both romantic chemistry and that fire former lovers need in daytime. They are magic. Oooo, get it Dani! Get it! YESS!!! NOT THE MARK ON THE FLOOR WHERE JEN JACOB (ASHLEY) NEEDS TO STAND IN THE SCENE! Oh, this marriage is not going to last of your new wife has your ex-wife on her mind on the night of your wedding?!

  3. R.I.P. to Ms. Behr!! She is someone I always wished would've gotten one more chance at being a producer in daytime.
  4. We did. A half-a-day day-player at the Savoy.
  5. Not to mention jive turkey! They are giving us the eight-point words, which sets is so far apart from the other soaps. I love it.
  6. Things have been a genuine struggle for me since their return from COVID, as with most soaps, that I felt didn't even try to take the downtime to reset and move forward fresh. Elliot's presence is a great comfort to see. It really is. As for the block taping and Jonathan Jackson, I only know what's printed in the media press, and that's what I do my best to stick to. That being said, Jackson's return as Lucky for me has left much to be desired, especially as someone who is not a Jackson fan.
  7. Those scenes were good, but there's only so many times Jane Elliot can show up and save the day. The continued oversaturation of the gruesome threesome (Carly/Jason/Sonny) is overkill at this point. There's little consistency or direction, and it shows in the material these actors are being able to play every single day. The block-taping is also something that is becoming glaringly obvious. One day, Brennan is clean-shaven, and then the next day he's got a full goatee. It's that kind of taping that is blatantly lazy (to me). There is zero creative direction from anyone on this soap, and it's shameful because they had the talent in their cast to pull audiences back in.
  8. Wasn't the BBC looking to launch a new soap? Or is that dead already? Because wouldn't BBC/BBC America teaming up to produce Neighbours provide a solid financial production towards this soap continuing?
  9. I can say: GH has become such a tiring chore to watch and follow, and it felt like that even prior to Beyond the Gates' premiere. But that soap's premiere really did point out the glaring issues this soap has been battling for too long.
  10. Oh, we get a Previously On... on Mondays? Love it. So she didn't shoot at them? That's kind of disappointing. But the government name?! So, Eva knows about her father?! That is juicy. But did Ted know Dana as Dana or Leslie?! Those wedding guests ran like the wind! They said, "Nope! Not sticking around!" NOT THE LIVESTREAM! Oh, this won't be cute for the Duprees. Not at all. Tomas, you doin' too much with your stance. Dial is back. "I have a name!" "You have a few." WHEW! Never, and I do mean never have I seen Karla Mosley act like this. Where was this hiding?! Whew. Dani is not going to hold back or back down! Did Andre just semi-say, "Oh shït?" Oh, she wants them to beg for their lives and her forgiveness?! Oh, this is juicy AF! Derek, your girl is not coming; she's with her true man! Bill, bold move! BOLD! But who got the gunshot?! "Move! Move! Move!" Anita didn't have time for everyone else. Shanice just on the phone while on duty? Okay now. Ms. Gossip. We love it. Oh, Hayley is determined to be Mrs. Bill Hamilton, and bullets in her funeral flowers won't stop it. Mom versus Mother is giving Mommie Dearest. Anita is true GRAND DAME! So brilliant. She commands the respect of all, family or not. Anita don't put it up anything from anyone; that's a woman with command. It is. State of Maryland! Well, they're married, despite the gunshots! Whew. Jezebel?! Oh, we're using words on this soap, and I adore her. The Hamilton home is beautiful... but if the double doors don't lead to the living room, where do they go?!

  12. Thanks for sharing this article. A great writeup.
  13. Demi losing for The Substance proved the film's point entirely.
  14. No one should be forced to face that pit of death.
  15. I am going to say what should be said: Tabyana Ali (Trina) & Jens Austin Astrup (Kai) have zero chemistry. It's a dud pairing. To think Astrup was cast with the intention of being purposefully paired with Ali is so headscratching because the chemistry is not there. Realistically, Jequan Jackson (Quinn) is who they should be pairing her with, as there is actual chemistry between the two of them, and Astrup could be cut altogether and wouldn't be missed or even noticeably gone.
  16. 👍🏻👍🏻 Overall totals will show the proper numbers, so no worries there.
  17. It's giving Bond villain and I am here for it.
