  1. Oooh...fun! Michelle Yeoh and her character were probably the best part of that sequel series' story.
  2. Who is the tall, dark and handsome actor that played Pentonville prison warden Hayes on yesterday's episode? They need to make him a regular.
  3. I guess that's a sign he's coming back to General Hospital soon. I wish Patrick Mulcahey had stayed on and actually done stories on GH, but I do like Carlivati's sense of humor.
  4. Both shows seem like they're going to be a lot of fun (especially the premise of Gross Pointe Garden Society) and I can't wait to watch! I wonder if Heels is over if Stephen Amell is doing another series?
  5. I hope he stays gone and takes Violet with him. Between OLTL and GH, he got waaay too much airtime in some of the most boring stories in all of ABC daytime history. PC lost its way when the vampires showed up, too.
  6. They should reveal Portia's real name: Karen. The actress isn't great (like most of the terrible Passions cast), but the character is even worse with constant hand-wringing and needless histrionics. The show gives her way too much airtime in general. The most improved actress/character is Maxie. She's dressed better, has her comedic chops back and love that she's the connective tissue between generations. The last few episodes after the Fourth of July have been great with the Cody/Mac/Felicia/Maxie storyline and the sizzle of Drew/Willow/Nina/Michael/Sasha soapy scandal that I'd asked for months ago. The most comforting part of all is how the show is using the Quartermaine estate and how it's been re-populated with people after decades of it being hollowed out.
  7. Good for Rena! What new city/state did they move to? Hope she stays on GH permanently. I love GH always having Lois, Laura, Felicia, Lucy, Anna (and hopefully Brenda again) on the cast.
  8. While I like Lois-related family coming on the show this is unnecessary. They need to cast female teens for Elizabeth's boys.
  9. Is this the reason the show went back to sucking boredom again for the last few weeks? The early few months of Patrick Mulcahey (before and after he was officially credited) was showing promise with better dialog, characterizations and beginning of plots (that have yet to materialize), but now it's completely sputtered out back to the mess it was before. The only other fun time this show has had recently was during the writer's strike. They really need to get rid of the whole Ashford family and whatever Michael Easton's character's family is called. Hopefully Elizabeth dumps him Monday and his character (and that annoying daughter) depart for Pine Valley permanently and go find Greenleaf off-screen and never come back!
  10. How exactly are Heather and Laura related as Webbers? Do they share a blood link? I hope not, for Ace's sake. And why is Steven Lars in prison? They need to bring back female doctors to the canvas like Lisa Niles and Britt Westborne. Or a Faith Roscoe type! We need some troublemakers doing entertaining shenanigans! I did enjoy Eva LaRue's character upending Ava's status with Sonny. That's the only good thing the annoying character has done so far. It's remarkable how well Eva LaRue looks, just like the actresses playing Felicia, Anna, Lois, Olivia who all look so much like their 1990s selves. Having said that, it's inexcusable how the actor playing Michael has gotten all flabby. If John York (Mac) looks great shirtless, plus almost the whole male cast (Drew, Jason, Dex, Curtis) that's older than him, then he needs to lay off the alcohol and get back to the gym.
  11. Wow. Today's episode was all set in the Quartermaine estate + the hospital. When was the last time that's ever happened? It's nice seeing the Q mansion full again with people. I like that they made the cook a character finally and Cody's always great. They need to give him more to do. Even though they recast Maxie's daughter and Elizabeth's youngest son with likely more seasoned actors, I think I preferred the previous child actors. Seeing the '90s ABC soap actresses playing Lois, Lucy, Tracy and Olivia in scenes together in 2024 was so fun! Having the Allie/Carly's portrayer on there would make it a proper The City reunion! 😍 Willow & Michael are annoying with their privileged non-problems. They need to send them on a long off-screen vacation!
  12. I am loving this Joss versus Kristina feud! The actresses are great, but moreso the characters are so well written and evenly matched. I never thought I'd say this last year (or anytime prior): this show needs to do more with Joss & Kristina feuding story. Why was Tracy upset at Spinelli about her winning that game?
  13. GH is so much better now than it has been in years. This new writing team is doing a fantastic job!! My goodness, even all the characters I dislike (Joss, Carly, Jason, John/Jagger, Nina, Drew, Ava, Sonny, Cyrus) are in more interesting stories, saying and doing more interesting things. The stakes are higher, the character-driven motivations are stronger. The show is just sexier, more rational (for a soap) and more emotional all at once. Joss' scenes recently (even today's scene with Anna) have really made that character so much more interesting and compelling. I'm glad all of the characters that I like (Laura, Anna) are actually finally seeing sense, too. All the weird friendships and their formerly insane saintly treatment of Sonny ending is long overdue. The Heather Webber scenes with Laura were so good in prior weeks, "what have I become?" I like this legacy Webber character is on her way to being rehabilitated with a medical explanation for her crimes. The actress is so good.
  14. But what's the point of digging up soil? Why not just put a tombstone or some other marker? One thing surprising about Thursday's episode is the chemistry between the Drew and Willow actors. I'm not a fan of either character, but if they're going to stay on the canvas, they may as well have a soapy affair/entanglement.
  15. Saw yesterday's episode. Did someone already explain why Spencer and Esme had graves dug for their non-existent corpses? I like what they've done with the Heather character. Those Elizabeth, Kevin, Heather scenes were nice to see.

Annie Lennox's performance was so stunning and befitting a tribute for the amazing Sinead O'Connor. Those two ladies have the most amazing voices! I had no idea Gangsta Boo died. So sad. Anyone know what song Celine Dion was singing back stage at the Grammys? https://www.instagram.com/p/C3BHHJzvVpC/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  17. So far, the first season of Feud remains superior. This second season cast is amazing, but the writing isn't engaging at all. Hopefully it gets better through the series... I'd rather see Calista Flockhart in an Ally McBeal sequel series. The Frasier sequel has been fantastic, so there's definitely hope for iconic characters to have second acts 20 years later.
  18. All the dialog-heavy scripts on GH every episode are terrible, especially since the scripts are completely without any comedy. I'm so sick of seeing 2 characters in a stationary scene constantly doing repetitive exposition. What's the point of a visual medium when it's just audio? You might as well do a podcast at that point! I'm excited that Mulcahey is back because he did excellent work on GH in the 1990s and on Santa Barbara (which even Nancy Lee Grahn still raves about). He should have a fresh canvas of characters, so I hope Flynn, Valentine, Drew, Nina, Willow, Ava, Portia, Diane, Marshall and Stella all get axed soon.
  19. To be fair, Antonio Sabbato Jr was a big part of the reason (via the Karen-Jason-Brenda teen quad plus AJ) GH had a ratings resurgence during the Wendy Riche tenure starting in 1992-1993. GH was #1 (or close to it) in the demo ratings that ABC cared about back then. GH and ABC had ASJ and Vanessa Marcil do promotion all the time all over the place (talk shows, radio, magazines, etc.) in the early/mid-1990s. Yeah, he's definitely exercising while recording that vlog post. It's nice to see an actor actually express interest and gratitude for a character he helped create 30+ years ago. I still think Jagger is the second best thing he ever did (the best thing was playing Janet Jackson's love interest in "Love Will Never Do (Without You)"). I wonder how Frank Valentini, Varni/ABC will react if this gains any traction. There were a lot of veteran actresses back in the pre-social media days that got recast unjustly and were never able to publicly, directly address the executive producers that were responsible for those decisions in real time.
  20. What is happening at GH recently? There's a record number of these miscast recasts. I liked the actor in the first part of the episode, figured he was playing some aged character from 1980s GH when he bumped into Carly. I even liked his interaction with Leo. But then Anna ruined the character for me when she said "Jagger?" This actor is too old and blond looking to be playing Jagger. He'd be a decent recast for an aged Jax, but not Jagger. This week has been terrible. Having Spencer literally choke Esme like that was disgusting and I'm glad we're going to be getting a break from that character (who was wonderfully played as a child by that actor Laura was looking at in the picture frame today). Laura & Kevin grieving was bittersweet. I really hope Esme returns soon. Nice to see Nicolas and Ace at the end of today's episode!
  21. Cute seeing Sally Field reference Frank Smith & Luke and Laura's return. 1990s GH for the win!
  22. Anyone know the song playing in the background behind Spencer, Trina and Joss at around 9:55 into today's episode (Wednesday, January 24) before they cut to Laura and Heather? Seems like a fun little song. I'm disappointed Esme knocked out Uncle Kevin like that after that nice, disarming therapy session. Guess they're really going to take her to crazy town quickly. Ugh. I did enjoy the Laura-Heather and Esme-Kevin scenes greatly. Cody-Felicia-Spinelli-Maxie's kid were nice, too. I liked yesterday's scenes with Tracy, Scott and Lucy (plus, that hot MetroCourt bartender Jessie). Sweet that they're reuniting Scott & Lucy after all these decades.
  23. Friday's show was such a terrific watch with Laura, Spencer, Cyrus, Esme and Ava. That last scene between Esme and Ava in particular was a heart-wrenching cliffhanger. They need to keep Nina like she was in today's episode, a little unhinged, a lot angry and very vindictive. I'm so sick of her being a whiny doormat and punching bag for all the insufferable and loathsome characters that attack her constantly. Carly taking over as editor of a fashion magazine is so ridiculous. Every job that character has had (except as a nursing student when she came on the show) has been completely unbelievable. Having her run her mother's diner was the perfect fit. She should have stayed at Kelly's/Bobbie's.
  24. Yes, they certainly do. Those 2 actors are the best casting of "younger" adult characters on this show since the 1990s. Esme's portrayer gives such a layered, complex performance every single time. The character being the daughter of 2 classic GH villains (also being related to and guided by Kevin and Laura, the polar opposites of her biological parents, is a nice bit of symmetry). That's the kind of legacy continuation we need! I hope that push-and-pull tension stays balanced so they don't burn her up quickly into a cartoon villain. Esme easily deserves to be the younger female lead for the show. She's much more interesting than Joss or Trina. I don't know why this show wastes time on Flynn's dumb malpractice story or Willow's idiotic, irrational hatred for Nina.
  25. The Laura-Nicolas-Spencer-Ace-Esme saga is the best thing on the show right now. I hope it's not going to be over soon. The Bobbie tribute was nice, especially the scenes involving Laura-Lucy-Scott-Kevin. What a powerful medium soap storytelling can be when you have character growth, introspection and insight about relationships that are literally 30-40 years long.
