  1. Did CBS greenlight this because of how Y&R stayed #1 so long due to its black audience or because of the success of Tyler Perry's soapy series? I love the pedigree of the cast (they need to bring the female lead from AMEN back too, she was the funniest) and writers, but fictional lifestyles of the mildly rich & spoiled just doesn't seem all that compelling when soapy reality shows like The Kardashians are already a decade stale and you've got actual billionaire technocrats ruling an enslaved world. Having said that, I hope this show is a wild success for CBS so it inspires the resurrection of Pine Valley and/or Llanview on ABC.
  2. If this show even thinks about killing off Felicia, it'll be Frankie Frame's death all over again and GH will deservedly be cancelled. How many murder and death storylines have been on this show this year? They dwell on every death for days and weeks, too. Totally uninteresting, as is another serial killer story. There was no good reason to kill off Dex. He was pleasantly harmless. They should have killed off Gio or TJ instead. They need to recast Lucas, too, if they want to keep that character around. The best part of the show is the Drew-Michael drama that's impacting the other characters. Cameron Mathison has such a good hire and this storyline is the only one during his whole character's arc that's been interesting. He needs more meaty dramatic material like this and being the traditional philandering Quartermaine man. It's a bummer Chad Duel is apparently leaving and ending this family feud prematurely. I wonder why? They should recast with a handsome newbie.
  3. GH does not need him ever again. We've already got a great replacement for Ingo/Jax in that WSB actor/character Brennan or whatever his name is.
  4. What does he mean by "GeneralHospital and #portcharles which is now on utube.” Is that official? I hope there's an explanation for his character's sudden disappearance. I'd rather have him than other the other boring lawyer characters (Ric, Diane, etc.). They need bring Ken Shriner back, along with Lucy. We need that comedic duo.
  5. Totally unnecessary casting of unnecessary characters. Trina & the Quarterback need to ride off into the sunset swiftly and take that annoying Gio with them.
  6. First time in months GH actually surprised me twice in an episode! Willow & Drew's adultery fully blossoming after coming (nearly) clean to everyone and the symmetry of the adultery happening in parallel with Michael & Sasha's one night stand. FINALLY secrets, lies and SOAPY extramarital affairs with 2 triangles happening simultaneously. The end of the episode was another visceral surprise for me, even though we all knew that guy was eventually going to be coming for Holly. I didn't expect a mundane coffee talk in the Quartermaine's breakfast nook to be interrupted by an armed kidnapping! I like how the Quartermaine mansion has so many sets at the same time on the show now because of the number of characters and stories going on there. I was surprised that Diane got her own office, too. The worst part of the show was Kristina screaming-- all the Sam death stuff is overkill at this point. Other than Steve Burton, none of the other actors have done much to make any of the grieving scenes about Sam's death worth watching. The show needs to move on from all the bereavement and stick to lighter, soapy fun.
  7. Did they ever explain Cody Bell's last name? Is he related to Katherine Bell? I like that he's a part of the Scorpio family and keeping them viable as all the actors are excellent (even James-- the only child actor on the show worth watching). I'm glad they broke Sasha & Cody up in a way that should happen a lot more often on soaps given all the paternity/maternity stuff (and even IRL people should be getting genetic tests so they don't accidentally procreate with a relative given all the IVF and orphaned babies out there). It's wild how often Michael is played by that temporary recast, especially for a pivotal scene. I was hoping Tracy & Ned could have blackmailed Cameron Mathison's character for a lot longer.
  8. He was a really great actor. I don't know why they bothered recasting Sonny's father.
  9. Enzo De Angelis was nice and looked like a 14 year old. They should have kept him for continuity.
  10. What were the fake GH stories? Probably more interesting than what's on screen. 🤭
  11. This was funny and cute. This little character-based side story for Lois & her accent was delightfully different than the boring, recycled lead stories. Seeing so many characters in the Quartermain mansion was nice too!
  12. Cute. Dr. Ganon? Is this a Llanview link? Will Rachel or Nora Hannen Ganon Buchanen be making a cameo? 😄
  13. Judging by the first couple of days of Lucky being back, I'd rather have Nikolas (played by Adam Huss, the best actor to play the part since Tyler Christopher originated the role) back on the canvas. Crazy that they sent a Cassadine to prison. Makes no sense at all. I don't even remember for what he went to prison for.
  14. The highlights from this past week were definitely the stories centered around Cody & the extended Scorpio family with that cute kid James. Plus Tracy/Cody is always a delight! Drew & everybody. Nice to see Cameron Matthison back to his old self, exuding chemistry with both Nina and Willow! John Brennan & Anna. This is could be a much better dynamic than Anna & Valentine if they play it right! I'm glad they've gotten rid of some dead-weight characters, but they could definitely trim some more. I'm glad they ditched the daughter Blaze, and the Deception scenes could be fun, but if they were going to insist on Eva LaRue being on GH, they should have brought Dr. Maria Santos on to push out Portia from GH. Nice to see Scotty, Lucy, Laura, Tracy, Felicia, Mac as always. Maxie is great, too.
  15. I just came across this Dutch trumpet player doing The Bold & The Beautiful theme by the most recent Daily Dose of Internet video where he pranks the police mimicking sirens: https://www.instagram.com/p/C-dMjUxMBmP/ Nice to see B&B continuing to be so popular globally! I wish the rest of the American soaps were still, too, producing fun, soapy drama for the global masses.
  16. Julie Berman was the best, but I'd rather have a recast than Rylan back. Not that I care about the Lulu character all that much unless they're bringing Scott Clifton back as Dylan Quartermaine to be Lulu's new romance. Now that would be exciting! It'd be nice to have Tracy Quartermaine have both her sons back in the Q mansion.
  17. I hope she stays on B&B forever, not because I like her or think she's a decent recast for Hunter Tylo because she's not (very few actresses are as stunningly gorgeous as 1980s/90s Tylo). I am just glad this means she won't ever be on GH again. That would be the real travesty!
  18. Totally agree on the reactions @Soapsuds posted ( "jump Sonny jump" and TJ being terrible). The actor playing TJ is hot, but cannot do anger, frustration or melodrama well. The character is almost as annoying as the even more sanctimonious Portia, always being judgy worrywarts that are hung up on other people's business. He needs a whole personality transplant to be likeable. The writers should consider a heel turn for TJ into a Lothario or something more gray. The GH rooftop set looks great. Fitting place to let Sonny take a swan dive! Thanks @John for the history lesson on falling upstairs to losing a baby. Irna Phllips' As The World Turns, what an institution.
  19. Always nice to see this classic character/actress drop in. She's aged beautifully.
  20. Is this the same soap that had a pregnant woman fall up stairs and lose a baby that way? Or was that Another World? The Esme fall from Windermere was more realistic. This was worse than Carly Babes falling down the old Quartermaine staircase and blaming AJ for it. LOL at the reactions to the fall yesterday. Everyone reacted reasonably, except for this actor playing Gio. He either has to go (he's certainly not a young lead like Nicholas Chavez that they're setting him up to be) or they need to lean into his goofy inexperience and make him just do straight up comedy. A sad sack orphaned virtuoso musician is not compelling. If they keep him, just make him a stupider, clumsier version of Spinelli for Trina. Adding more humor back into GH would certainly help slightly mask the slow, low-stakes plots and boring conversations between characters. It's a shame Scott wasn't there on Friday's episode, he's always good for a chuckle.
  21. How many times are they going to let Sonny, Jason and Carly not face consequences for their criminality? Carly would be so much more interesting in prison. They've fully ruined the Jagger Cates character turning him into another dumb loser to prop up Sonny, Jason and Carly. This is as bad as those years in the 2000s when the show was always about that terrible trio and all the great characters played by better actors (Brenda, Faith, Alcazar, etc.) were ruined or sidelined to prop them up. Why is that Wiley character in the opening? He is no Lucky Spencer or even Spencer Cassadine-level good/important to be on there. The opening sequence remains terrible. I cannot believe it's lasted this long. They need to just have a 5 second title card with the hospital backdrop. I'm glad to see the actor playing Brennan back in a suit. That was the only decent part of the whole episode. He's a much better match for Anna than Valentine, too.
  22. ^ In that age group, I'd much rather have Tuc Watkins/David Vickers show up on GH to mix it up with Tracy Q. Expanding Sonny's family was always a bad idea.
  23. Go woke, go broke! LOL @ all the "satanic" screeds about the Greek myth in drag performance being confused for The Last Supper. Celine Dion overcoming SPS brought the audience. That was a nice performance on the Eiffel tower. I think the Beijing Olympics spectacle was by far the best still. London had some cute comedy bits, too.
  24. Boring. Isn't his character dead? Hopefully it's only a short-term cameo as a ghost and nothing long-term. We finally got rid of Roger Howarth and Michael Easton, we don't need more of that stale demographic on the show. This TJ/Molly/Kristina/Blaze baby story is the second-worst part of the show currently, too, so no need to waste more time on it.
