Genie should be swimming in Emmys and be the face of the show akin to Erica Kane and Viki Lord instead the show trips over itself to reward men like Geary and Benard who spent/spend their days giving half-assed performances because they're over the job. I've never seen her phone it in unlike those two losers.

How are they not having some sort of celebration for her? Y&R is having a big to-do for some vet every 6 months.

The show seems to have a large contract (and I assume highly paid considering most of them are veterans) cast with nothing interesting to do.

But how do you plan long-term when you don't know an actor's availability? I see why they sign these actors to such stringent contracts but then of course they do the dumb thing and overuse them with dull story (case in point the actors who played Kyle and Summer, I truly believe both would have stayed if the story wasn't so awful).

A discussion in another post got me thinking about the speculation from back in the day that Robert S. Woods wanted to be paired with younger actresses which is why Bo and Nora were separated for so long. Is there any truth to that? I doubt it personally and honestly younger co-stars made him look that much older. Especially when he was with Lindsay's sister.

I was very new to discussing soaps online back but I remember everyone hating it. I was rewatching some of that storyline and they made Bo, Nora and Rachel all shockingly stupid so I kind of get it. That story also lead to Bo and Nora being separated for over a decade, which pissed me off every single day. And this is not the OLTL thread so let me stop.

I think the OLTL ep aired in primetime due to preemptions? It involved Todd holding everyone hostage at the Buchanan cabin because he was accused of murdering Georgie. He had a fake bomb strapped to him or some such nonsense.

We know the reason Felicia has been on and off so much (Kristina Wagner wasn't on the show) but have they bothered to give Felicia a deeper reason for essentially abandoning her daughters? I know they've had Maxie berate her and had Felicia cry about it but is there any deeper psychological reason why she was an absentee mother once her kids hit their teens?
