GH: A New Temp Recast
The train doesn't even slow down at GH, does it? Chad Duell is fine. Robert Adamson is the same level of dull as him. No recast will help Michael because Michael just sucks as a character. He'll never be any better or more interesting as long as the show continues to treat Carly and Sonny the way that they do.

All My Children Tribute Thread
I've been watching clips from the baby switch and it really was the death kneel for this show. They had NO clue what to do once it was over other than twist the show into a pretzel in order to save Babe and Krystal. And not just that, they ruined half of the cast in the telling of that story. They treated the audience like idiots. Not just idiots but heartless idiots. We were expected to buy after 9 months of thinking her baby was dead that Bianca would be torn about whether or not to tell JR his son was alive. And before that that Tad would EVER treat Dixie's son the way he did. They worked overtime making us think that JR was this evil monster just so they could drag out dead baby secrets. I just watched a scene where Tad described to Bianca how JR bashed in Jamie's head with a pipe, what he forgot to mention is that they were KIDNAPPING his baby at the time! The way Tad tried to blame Adam and JR for Paul Kramer switching the babies because they yelled at him when they thought the babies were dead! This story ruined nearly everyone but it really did a number on Tad. He chose blood (Jamie) over love (JR) and it was disgusting to see. All that said, it was still AMC's last great story. Here's a particularly good scene between Adam and Erica: Anyway, this year if aged in real time Miranda and AJ would be able to vote.

YR summer preview
This is an actual promo...with scenes across multiple episodes...when is the last time Y&R did that? And it features the Black Cast? And Nate and Elena got some nerve considering how their relationship started.

Shhhh...you can't question such things. Niki bought the wig. She bought it for fun. Viki never woke up in the wig because Niki didn't sleep with it on. Jean didn't have to do a fitting, Viki's worn a pantsuit once or twice in her life. Jean's glasses were purely to complement her look.

I was was watching clips from the 1994 tornado earlier and suddenly realized that Erica was not there (and surprisingly, as much as I love her, was not missed). Then I read up on it and apparently she was in Seattle for an extended stay and didn't return until weeks after. Was Susan Lucci on vacation? Or filming something else?

They feel like filler. Days has a similar problem. The cast is so enormous and the stories start and stop so much that there's no sense of purpose or focus. They're just making sure they have 5 hours to fill each week. Oh. I didn't realize Rebecca Budig was on long enough to have a whole ass child.

Erica is definitely in the vein of a Kardashian rather than a supermodel so height shouldn't matter. If social media existed during her rise she would have been so stupid popular.

Characters that Stopped Getting Stories
They've listed the entire cast for each show for some reason.

B&B May 2022 Official Discussion Thread
To me this is always the better option. That way we wait with bated breath until something is revealed. If you look at it some of the most successful soap stories have been centered around the audience knowing something the characters don't. Phillip's parentage on GL, Mike's paternity on Days, Nick and Phyllis' affair on Y&R, Bianca's baby switch on AMC... Of course soaps have abused this by constantly teasing that this big secret is about to be revealed every other scene. It's better when we know but they let it lie unaddressed for some time.

I can't answer this but just based on what I read here I feel like Days goes through every soap trope on a weekly basis.

REPORT: B&B: Star Out!
Someone we thought dead isn't actually dead so they could milk the drama of their death with zero ramifications? Riveting. Days does this on a weekly basis.
