  1. Dr. Andy has a last name! I had been wondering.
  2. This May 2019 tweet was quote-tweeted on Sept 16 by MVJ
  3. The Kyle/Summer scene and the Adam/Sally scene both aired Friday Sept 16 in Canada (Mon Sept 19 US). The Deacon/Nikki scenes go with the other stuff already posted above in this thread ... not the same clips but different part of the same scenes. They air week of Sept 19.
  4. If anyone cares, the full episode of The Talk is up online. Melody comes on in the second half. (The first part is Sarah Michele Gellar) You can find this episode of the Talk on cbs.com and paramountplus.com NOTE: It's listed under the NEW season - season 13, episode 5, 9/16/2022. It's up on the Global TV website in Canada. Select the episode of Sep/16/2022 ________________________________________________ This past week's set of The Talk has extremely bright colors for set and wardrobe. I was wondering what was going on. Each day of week of Sept 12-16, the co-hosts wore different outfits, and each outfit was brightly colored. The Talk's episodes Sept 12-16 had the set decorated to look like a rural summer carnival https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traveling_carnival with a Ferris wheel, games, food, etc. They explained on Monday Sept 12 that they decided to kick off the new fall season this way in order to honor one of their producers Heather Gray who had passed away in July and who had envisioned/planned some of this; and they wanted to have fun to honor her.
  5. Melody Thomas Scott appeared on "The Talk" on Friday Sept. 16 -- to promote the crossover. "The Talk" aired some preview clips from the crossover episodes: The first scene they showed was with The Talk's co-host Natalie Morales. (Natalie has been a guest actress appearing on Y&R for a few weeks in the role of Los Angeles investigative reporter "Talia Morgan".) Natalie (as the co-host of The Talk) introduced a preview clip from Y&R's week of Sept !9. This clip shows Natalie's character reporter Talia Morgan meeting Nikki Newman at Nikki's Los Angeles area hotel suite. This Talia/Nikki scene airs on Y&R Tuesday Sept 20 (?) From "The Talk" - screencaps and transcript: Reporter Talia is dressed in green. They meet in Los Angeles (which will air on Y&R on Tuesday Sept 20 or Wed Sept 21) - probably Tuesday. They are in Nikki's hotel suite? Nikki: "Thank you for coming to meet me, Talia". Talia: "It's good to see you again, Nikki. But I am surprised you're in L.A." Nikki: "I have some important business to take care of." Talia: "For Newman Enterprises?" Nikki: "No. Um... Actually, I am here on behalf of the people of Genoa City who deserve to be rid of Diane Jenkins. I'm also going to be talking with Deacon Sharpe who helped her fake her own death. I'm hoping to get enough dirt out of him to drive her from town for good." NOTE: You can watch this scene by watching the full Sept. 16 episode of The Talk. If you already recorded it, or if you watch the The Talk online, this particular Talia/Nikki clip plays just *BEFORE* Melody Thomas Scott enters the stage of The Talk. (Natalie Morales introduces the clip, plays the clip, and then they welcome Melody to come on stage). ____________________________________________________________________________________ After Melody comes onto the stage of The Talk, she talks a little about Nikki and Victor's relationship. The Talk posted a youtube clip of this (below). At the end of this clip, The Talk's co-host Sheryl Underwood mentions that Melody will be appearing on B&B in two weeks (this was recorded during week of Sept 12, so she means MTS will be on B&B week of Sept 26.) Sheryl wants to know how much fun is Nikki going to have? and Melody says she can't reveal that, you have to watch, no comment. Here is the clip: _____________________________________________________________________________________ The Talk continued talking with Melody and they made another youtube of that. At about 1:51 of the next youtube, there is a new preview clip of Nikki's scenes with Deacon, which they said will air on Y&R on Wednesday Sept 21. This is a *different* piece of the scenes with Deacon at Nikki's hotel, - parts of this scene were in the Next Week on Y&R clip, and on last week's promo, and this week's promo, etc etc etc. This is just another/different piece. _____________________________________________________________________________________

  7. Part one of Carly's random encounter with "Peyton Roberts Honeycutt" in Jacksonville: Part two isn't uploaded but here is the transcript of that scene: Peyton: Your great-aunt was Ruby Anderson? *The* Ruby? Carly: The one and only. Peyton: And were you employed at her “establishment”? Carly: No. I met Ruby years later when she left Florida and moved to Port Charles, New York. Peyton: Port Charles’ loss is Jacksonville’s gain. Carly: [ Chuckles ] Where do you get off judging Ruby? Or anyone? Peyton: There are such things as “standards,” and clearly you have no idea what I’m talking about, so allow me to explain. There’s a way to behave. There’s a way to conduct yourself that determines what circles you move in and who finds you acceptable. Carly: You said your last name was Honeycutt. Peyton: That’s right. Mrs. Wade Honeycutt. Carly: He’s your second husband. Peyton: How do you know that? Carly: Because your first husband’s name was Daniel. And your daughter’s name was Charlotte Reese Roberts. And you lived on Bedlow Drive. And you had a big, beautiful house with a swimming pool. And you drove a Mercedes convertible. And I thought it was so cool. Peyton: Oh, my god. You’re Caroline Benson? [pause] Caroline Benson. You call yourself Carly? My daughter is dead, and you’re using her name? Carly: My name is Carly. I chose it, and I’ve been using it for most of my adult life. Peyton: You weren’t born with it. Carly was Reese’s nickname, my sweet, my trusting daughter. Worst day of her life was when she met you! Ah, she came home so excited, made a new friend, wanted you to come over. The instant I talked to your mother I knew it was a mistake. She said she was a secretary. She’d be unable to supervise the girls ’cause she had to work. Carly: You didn’t supervise very much, Mrs. Roberts. You were always off at some luncheon or committee meeting. It was the housekeeper who drove us around until Reese was old enough to do it herself. Peyton: How many afternoons did you spend at our house? How many sleepovers? Little Caroline, always so eager to fit in. Couldn’t quite manage with your discount clothes and the wrong shoes. But my Reese was so happy to share. [ Voice breaking ] Oh, my god. You wore the same size. You could almost pass as a girl from a decent family, so I let you tag along. It made Reese happy, and I didn’t see the harm. I didn’t see the harm. Until it was too late. Until you betrayed my generosity. Until you seduced my husband! Part 3 of 3 starts around 40 seconds into this clip: https://www.facebook.com/generalhospital/videos/1028976064454252
  8. Both shows are using this same promo for the week.
  9. ParamountPlus (and its predecessor CBS-All-Access) keeps ONLY the current season of Y&R up on their site. That's been the pattern for the past several years ever since CBSAllAccess began. So if you're behind in watching Y&R and want to get caught up, and aren't bored/annoyed and really want to see it all... Get caught up now. The current season (Season 49) ends Thursday Sept 29, 2022. Then they will delete all of Season 49. (Except for the last few episodes of Season 49 which would remain online for only a few days and then get deleted as well.) I don't why they chose this date, but they are debuting Season 50 of Y&R on Friday Sept 30 and soon it will be the only Y&R you can watch on Paramount Plus. All I can say is that this is what they did with Y&R every September. Don't know if that's the plan this year, but it probably is. So catch up now if you want to. Of course I hope that I'm proven wrong! I'd prefer that they left stuff online. (B&B is different. They leave their stuff up for years on Paramount Plus.)
  10. Yep. Nate's actions are purely plot-driven. Not character-driven because he has no character! I really enjoyed getting into the classic episodes that aired during the 2020 covid break, and then finding links from here to other old episodes. The character of Nathan (Nate's father) had good and bad in him. It would be so easy to write Nate as having some of Nathan's characteristics (even though Nate was partially raised by his stepfather Malcolm). It's right there! But Griffith doesn't care to bother.
  11. You are lucky to have someone to watch with in real life, even if it was just to snark about it. Nobody I know in real life would ever be caught dead watching a soap. They all think I'm weird!
  12. I apologize for starting that off-topic rabbit hole. I got into the tangent as to why I have Peacock. I will post about Miranda Rae Mayo as Stella Kidd in the primetime section later today. But yeah I will go back to discussing DAYS on this thread.
  13. I signed up for Peacock originally to watch the Olympics - especially figure skating and gymnastics. But I found their coverage difficult to navigate on my antiquated computer, so I ended up watching next-day videos on youtube. I wish I could navigate Peacock's sports coverage better. I guess I need a more modern computer. I was watching Chicago Fire episodes the next day on Hulu, because I like the display on Hulu better. So I was going to unsubscribe from Peacock and just keep Hulu. But then I learned that Hulu isn't going to host episodes of primetime NBC shows anymore, so I kept Peacock to watch Chicago Fire. (and Days if I feel like it)

  15. Actress Miranda Rae Mayo appeared on DAYS as Will Horton's boss (the magazine editor) "Zoe Browning" from August 2014 - July 2015. She was awesome and her character even sparked a little with Chad. She was in only 16 episodes but I found the actress to be memorable. I followed the actress after that. She now stars as Lieutenant Stella Kidd on Chicago Fire. She rocks. I love kick-ass female characters like oldschool 1980s Anna Devane. Watching her on Chicago Fire is why I have Peacock. I don't care about anything else on Peacock.
  16. I saw this awesome trivia posted elsewhere. Fun facts. Stacy Haiduk played "Warden Jane Smith" on September 14, 20, and 21, 2010. https://www.jason47.com/days/castchart.html Gina Gallego played *recast* "Warden Jane Smith" from October 5, 2010 to February 1, 2011. https://www.jason47.com/days/noncontractarchive.html Stacy Haiduk as the petitioner for custody Kristen DiMera, and Gina Gallego as "Judge Broderick", September 16, 2022
  17. @JAS0N47 has a question mark for Thanksgiving Day 2022. I guess it's not yet known? https://www.jason47.com/days/episodeguide2022.html
  18. I've found more in-depth info at bostonglobe.com and at miamiherald.com
  19. The tattoo on Kristen's back is Stacy Haiduk's own tattoo. It has been shown on DAYS for a few years now. It looks like flowery vines to me but it's apparently a phoenix, so they wrote it into the show. According to this post from 2009, Stacy has had the phoenix tattoo since she was on All My Children. https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/31942-yr-casting-spoiler-accidentally-leaked/ More on Stacy's tattoos here: https://www.soapsindepth.com/posts/nbc/stacy-haiduk-meaning-wrist-tattoo
  20. Here is the same report, the original from the Miami Herald, on the Miami Herald youtube:
  21. John Oliver of Last Week Tonight uses bits of humor to do a very serious fact-based exposé on a different topic each week. Sept. 11, 2022 the discussion was the Law&Order franchise and how it very inaccurately depicts police and prosecution. The real-life statistics John Oliver gives are quite staggering. Very few cases go to trial in real life. There is very little training giving to real cops in New York regarding sexual assault. And basically, Dick Wolf is pro-cop and that's all he's going to authorize being depicted. And most alarmingly the unspoken unwritten (yet real) agreement with actual NYPD to portray fictional cops well -- because if L&O doesn't depict their fictional cops in a positive light, the real NYPD will make it difficult for the shows to do filming in New York.
