Yes! Charles Mesure is playing the mysterious man at the end of Dec. 1st episode. I won't say more since you haven't seen more yet. His twitter https://twitter.com/CMesure/ Mesure retweeted this scene from Dec. 1st:

2023: The Directors and Writers Thread
Ron Carlivati's story ideas air until around Christmas; but episodes written by nonunion dialogue writers began airing Dec. 4. Apparently the fired co-EP (whom we don't name because of his horrible abusive behaviors) ... set himself up as a sort of showrunner, "supervising the scripts" during the strike, so there was nobody officially acting as "headwriter" during that time, but he sort of did that function. The strike began May 2 and firedguy was fired August 4, so there are three months of firedguy's nonsense that will air. Followed by two months of an unknown nonunion person headwriting from Aug. 4 until the strike ended Sept 27. And headwriting/story concepts air out further than the actual scripts, so the firedguy's concepts might air into part of March and then UnknownPerson's stuff airing into May. LOL to sum up, the answer to your question is "we don't know". These are the members of WGA-East who are fi-core https://www.wgaeast.org/enforcement/wgae-financial-core-list/ (the East list does not divulge *when* the person when fi-core) These are the members of WGA-West who are ficore https://www.wga.org/members/membership-information/wgaw-financial-core-list (the West list tells the year each person went fi-core) Since the writers write from home, it could be anyone on the east or west lists. Well, anyone except: Josh Griffith remained HW for Y&R through the 2023 strike. Michael Minnis and Mark Pinciotti wrote for B&B through the 2023 strike. Fran Meyers (Frances Myers Newman) has been on the Days staff for many years as a script editor and was already ficore from the 2007-2008 writers strike, so presumably she remained on the staff during the strike. Sheri Anderson is on the WGA-West list as going ficore in 2023, so the obvious speculation was that she did some sort of writing for Days during the strike (consulting, breakdowns, dialogue, whatever) ... but theoretically she could have done writing for another soap instead, or freelanced for more than one soap ... or did writing for nonsoap projects -- we just don't know.

Bold returns
Update: in the December 5, 2023 episode, Thorne appears on the other end of a phonecall with Ridge, who doesn't tell him on the phone about about Eric's health, just that the party is tonight and Thorne must come. Thorne is out of town and puzzled by this, but says he'll get on a plane and come right away. Thorne also says in this Dec. 5 phonecall with Ridge that Kristen, Felicia, and Rick are all on safari and there’s no way they will get to LA today. Meanwhile, in the same episode, Eric tells Donna that he wishes all his children would be there. She replies that he will see them all, but maybe not tonight.

B&B/Y&R: Upcoming December 2023 Spoilers
@Errol Well I see that I was fooled by Winsor's wardrobe. And by another site's photoshopping. ^ pic from the new SOD article As Errol said, that is Winsor in the episode of Brooke remembering her previous loves: https://www.paramountpressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/shows/the-bold-and-the-beautiful/photos?episode=90 But I was fooled because Thorne is in the same wardrobe in the *seemingly* new photo here from the soapcentral scoop page But I see from Errol's photos here https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/65553-article-the-bold-and-the-beautiful-prevue-what-to-watchdvr-alerts-for-the-week-of-december-4-8-2023/ that the original photo has KATIE in the middle So wtf, soapcentral photoshopped an old pic of Winsor to replace Katie?

DAYS: December 2023 Discussion Thread
The strike stuff is coming in stages. Ron wrote up to or including Christmas so his storyline concepts will air til then, and he'll be credited til his ideas are no longer airing. The breakdown writers will continue to be credited for another week or two for however long their prewritten stuff is - whatever they turned in before the May 2nd strike start. The writing staff was still credited today Dec. 4. (but no specific scriptwriter credited today) The scriptwriters writing individual episodes are no longer credited effective today December 4th, as the day-to-day scripts now airing were written starting May 2nd by non union people -- either former union people gone fi-core, and/or random people who were never union writers

B&B/Y&R: Upcoming December 2023 Spoilers
Your post is fine, it's a reasonable opinion. I was simply disappointed in the previous couple of months of Diane being the boring wife. I was hoping she'd become more interesting again, especially with the examples you described - I noticed those things, too! But I just don't trust Griffith to make her truly nefarious. Instead I think Griffith is just using Diane to make the plotpoints with Kyle for boring business stuff. If something really nefarious was happening that would interest me, but I just don't trust the writer.
