  1. Clips of late 60's and early 70's are so rare.. I really wish to see some scenes of Julie and Susan Hunter , I understand they were mortal enemies.
  2. Susan Seaforth Hayes debuts as Julie Olson - December 11, 1968
  3. By the way, why didn't Maree Cheatham returned to Days in the 70's when TPTB brought Marie Horton back? Maree seems like a wonderful actress and had great chemistry and history with the Hortons.
  4. Is Dr. Kate Winograd and Kate Roberts the same person? Dr. Kate Winograd is a fictional character on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives, portrayed by Elaine Princi from 1977 to 1979. Dr Kate Winograd, first appears in July 1977, when she is Head of Anesthesiology at Salem University Hospital. Kate befriends main character Dr Bill Horton, and they fall for each other. Bill romances Kate, but she resists his advances. Kate departs Salem in February 1978, and returns in 1979, when she has a sexual affair with Dr Neil Curtis. Kate and Bill's friendship begins when Bill, an accomplished surgeon, retrains in Anesthesiology after losing the ability to do surgery, thanks to a gunshot injury to his arm which causes nerve damage and impairs the use of his right hand. Bill retrains as an anesthesiologist so he can carry on working in the Operating room, and Kate supervises his re-training. Bill clashes with new Chief of Surgery, Dr Walter Griffin, because Bill thinks Griffin does unnecessary surgeries on patients and is "knife-happy". Bill is assigned to the night shift by the Chief of Staff Greg Peters, to avoid clashes with Griffin. This puts strain on Bill's marriage with Dr Laura Horton. Kate speaks up for Bill, saying the other trainees value him, and persuades Peters to put Bill back on the day shift. Bill's brother's neighbor Fred Barton falls downstairs and hits his head, and Bill rushes him into hospital. Fred hemorrhages and needs emergency brain-surgery, but the only surgeon available is an inexperienced junior trainee. The trainee panics in the Operating Room, and walks out. Bill has to do the surgery himself and he saves the man's life, with Kate assisting. But after the operation Barton is paralyzed from the waist down, and he sues the hospital and Bill and Kate. The trainee surgeon covers himself by saying Bill threw him out of the Operating Room; and Kate and Bill are fired from the hospital. Both unemployed, and both fighting the suit against them, Bill and Kate spend time with each other, and become close. They go for walks, and Bill kisses Kate at Christmas. At the same time, Laura's own work commitments have also put a strain on their marriage. Unhappy with his relationship with Kate, Laura throws Bill out, and he goes to live at the Salem Inn. Although Kate is in love with him, she also won't let Bill stay with her. She won't be the "other woman". Bill's brother Mickey persuades the young trainee surgeon to come clean about what he did; and Dr Marlena Evans helps Fred Barton realize that his paralysis is actually psychological, stemming from childhood traumas. On the day of Bill and Kate's trial, Barton walks into court! The case is thrown out, and Bill and Kate are re-instated at the hospital. That evening Bill and Kate celebrate and share a passionate kiss. But Kate breaks it off, and forces Bill to leave. Bill has a change of heart, and realizes his love for his wife Laura. He apologizes to Kate, telling her he mistook feelings of loyalty to her as love, and that he wants to remain friends and colleagues. Kate tells him she is leaving to take a job in Cleveland, but she really is heartbroken to miss her chance with the man she loves! In January 1979, with his hand better, Bill is offered the post of Chief of Surgery, and he accepts. Kate is over her infatuation with Bill, and with Laura's blessing, he re-hires Kate as Head of Anesthesiology. Kate assures Bill and Laura that she and Bill are now just good friends. Kate and Bill work away together when they go help flood-victims out of town. Laura's mentally-ill mother commits suicide, and Laura is traumatized. She begins to have hallucinations of her dead mother, who tells her to do things. Laura becomes paranoid, and she accuses Kate of moving in on Bill, telling her everyone at the hospital is talking about it. Kate tries to reassure Laura that she is just friends with Bill, to no avail. As Kate's reputation is very important to her, she resigns from the hospital again. Bill asks Kate to stay near by, but she gives him the cold shoulder. In truth, Kate is having an affair with Dr Neil Curtis, and her affair with Neil has just become sexual. Kate is resolved to leave town, as she does not want to cause the breakdown of marriages.
  5. I think 1988-1995 are classic years, pure gold. amazing stories and characters: Lisa locking brad in a cage for weeks the wonderful and talented Brenda Epperson the death of Philip the 3rd Katherine-Rex Marge David Kimble and Nina Cassandra Rawlins Sheila-Scott-Lauren Victor presumed dead in 1993 The arrival of Phillis!! I was hooked and didn't miss an episode..
  6. Jill and Kay becoming mother/daughter was such a ridiculous idea..
  7. I agree. those clips of Phillip III's death from 1989 are so rare.. I wish someone will upload them to the vault. The scene of Jill blaming Kathrine in the hospital room after Philip died.. "first the father, and now the son".. gosh, it was so sad. and Jill wore red to his funeral because she didn't want to say goodbye all dressed in black.. Y&R was so good back then. And of course I eagerly wish to see again the episodes from 1994 involving Rex's shooting, death, and aftermath. again- very rare. never saw those episodes online (I refer to everyone gathering at the hospital and Katherine's finale scene with Rex, and of course comforting her enemy Jill who didn't have a chance to see Rex before he died..) and of course the memorial for Rex.. it was a really sad episode. Katherine, Gina and Danny were so devastated.
  8. Wow thank you for sharing this article. I always assumed SR left because she was diagnosed with MG: "In 1984, Rogers was diagnosed with the rare muscle disorder myasthenia gravis. This disease affected her facial muscles, and the medicine the doctors put her on made her feel ill, and her face appeared swollen while also suffering hair loss. She temporarily left the show after 11 years when the effects of the disease became increasingly worse... Her entire appearance changed, and she did not return to Days of Our Lives for a year. Rogers returned to the serial when her health became better. Rogers, wanting to educate viewers about the disease, encouraged executive producer Betty Corday to have her character be diagnosed with the disease. Corday agreed, and a storyline played out with Maggie learning she has myasthenia gravis"
  9. I will appreciate if you can upload more scenes from early 70's and early 80's. And of course would love to see the story of Marie Horton falling for her brother Tommy
  10. Any chance to see the death of Philip chancellor the 3rd during 1989?
  11. Do you have maybe more episodes from December 1994? maybe December 1st? I want to see the episodes of Rex Sterling's shooting, death in hospital and funeral
  12. Y&R began broadcast in Israel in 1990 (I think with episodes from around 1987) and unfortunately was taken off our screens in early 2010 due to disagreement with Sony (together with days of our lives).
  13. I am really excited about re-watching clips from late 1988 forwards.. I began watching Y&R during this time when the show began broadcasting in Israel. I remember amazing stories: - Ashley and Dr. Steven Lassiter married in 1988, but before long Steven was shot to death by the son of one of his patients. The beautiful and talented Brenda Epperson portrayed Ashley for seven years from December 5, 1988 (I adore Brenda!) - Jessica Blair Grainger and her sad death from AIDS - Cricket's rape by Derek Stuart - Philip's death by car accident and the repercussions - Lisa locking Brad in a cage for weeks and Lauren rescuing him - and of course, Marge impersonating Katherine - great story! - David Kimble! - the beautiful Cassandra Rawlins.. “The Young and the Restless” has been the number 1 soap opera since 1988 and I can sure understand why. great stories, great characters and great acting.
  14. Wow thank you so much, can you also upload the following episodes, showing Grace revealing the truth to Megan?
  15. Where can I see episodes of Y&R from March and April 2000? mainly the story of Trish and Megan
  16. Well Jeanne talked about her alcholism and Bill's involvement..
  17. I loved Brenda Epperson so much!!! she was a great Ashley!
  18. Reminding me the huge ret-conning of Carl Williams going missing for 7 years - and we only find this out on 1998.. Carl disappeared and had been gone eight years before Paul and Christine convinced Mary to have him declared legally dead.
  19. I live in Israel and started watching Y&R from late 80's.. the stories and characters were so good, I was just captivated! I also started watching DOOL and OLTL from 1993 episodes.. those were very good years. I also watched AMC from 1994- again, it was good! But soaps today are unwatchable.. unfortunately. so I don't watch.
  20. I do not watch soaps anymore. there is really no Comparison to classic episodes of 80's and 90's.. the budget nowadays is ridiculous and therefore the horrible story-lines and acting..
  21. I loved the blade/Ashley/Rick/Mary Joe story and wish to see some episodes.. I remember the scene of Ashley (the wonderful and beautiful Brenda Epperson) lying in bed and receiving a devastating phone call regarding blade's accident and death. her reaction was so sad, she was truly shaken. poor Ashley! and quickly after left for Paris.
  22. I remember watching Victor's death story from 1993.. Nikki, Ashley and Victoria were devastated when they though victor died!!!!
  23. I liked the story of Carl returning from the dead during 1998..and the whole Tricia-Megan-Tony conflict.. any chance to see the episode of Megan finding out the truth about Tricia killing Tony and confronting her about this?
