Woke up this morning singing this song. I wonder why 😂😂😂😂😂 Not a chance. But there were some things that I liked: what’s happening onscreen right now for example. Paul/Christopher Sean Exactly. Even if things aren’t perfect over the next few weeks/months, the guy who’s responsible for most of the problems is finally gone.

That’s one thing that I’m hoping changes under Paula/Jeanne

It’s possible. Days has actually rebounded pretty nicely in the aftermath of that Body&Soul garbage, and the cruel toxic shitshow that it was in 2022 and 2023. Admittedly, there’s still usually one really crappy, poorly written episode every week but we all know who’s fault that is. For the most part, I think Paula/Jean just need to remember that they’re writing Days of Our Lives, not Days of Our Leo or The Rob&Greg Hour and especially not Ron&Jamey’s Shitfest 😂😂😂 If, suddenly, everyone’s favorite book becomes Pride and Prejudice again, then yes, they were the ones writing during the strike 😂😂😂 Idk. With the way that Ron is, I can’t imagine Days would have gotten so good in his final weeks if he had known that he was on his way out. This is the man who basically declared war on Abigail and everyone around her just because fans didn’t like one storyline

Not sure why there was so much confusion about Ron’s last day but whatevs. The day we’ve been waiting for since last July is FINALLY here!!!!! And what a coincidence that Ron’s last day is a classic Ron/Jamey shitfest, with fluff, filler, people acting out of character, Leo and Javi making me want to vomit, Alex and Xander looking hot, Alex being an arrogant douche, Stephanie being nothing but a doormat/little woman, etc. And I can’t help but wonder if there was a reason why he was fired right in the middle of the hospital fundraiser arc 😂 And yeah, I’m also not sure why single guys like Brady, Philip or even Doug III aren’t part of the Bachelor auction but whatevs. Hopefully, it won’t matter sooner or later. I actually am a little interested in the potential conflict for JJ/Gabi that was started today, but mostly because, if they go there, it’s going to be handled by different writers and not RSW’s #1 fan 🖕 Regardless, tomorrow is the start of a new day and I’m really looking forward to it. We finally made it, y’all! 😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉

All the more reason why I think he didn’t know he was gonna be fired Oh, I don’t want that. EJ should be the permanent villain and Belle should eventually go back with Shawn. But I’m interested in seeing the storyline play out

We’ve finally made it! Good-bye Ron Carlivati! You’ve written some good things, you’ve written some bad things, you’ve written some things that deserved a major ass whoopin’. And you subjected us to the worst writer in existence for no reason other than the fact that he kissed your ass. Like I said before, if he was fired, he has absolutely no one to blame but himself. Luckily, it looks like he’s on his best behavior at BTG, which surprises me because I honestly thought he would be miserable there and that he only took the job for the paycheck. And I hope it continues to work out, because as we saw on Days sometimes, he actually is a pretty good writer when he doesn’t let his obsessions, his biases, his obvious mommy issues and God only knows how many other issues, do the writing for him. In the mean time, I’m really looking forward to what Paula and Jeanne can do with Days. A different take/style is definitely the thing that Days needs more than anything after so many years. As for today’s episode, it wasn’t that bad, even though Susan was annoying. Does she really need to be around for “humor”? I’m sure we all expected EJ to not remember who shot him. But I like that he remembered Belle telling him that she loved him. I’m interested in seeing where the two of them go from here, especially now that Ron is gone. Chad/Johnny was the best part of today. I really enjoy their relationship and that Johnny has someone to talk to about everything that he’s been through lately. And I like that Johnny refused to go see EJ. Having them be at odds for a long time is definitely the right move for this storyline. Plus, it would open up so many more story possibilities for them and everyone around them, especially now that the adoption seems to be happening. Btw, I can’t help but think that Amy being so on board with the adoption and so forgiving of Chanel after she confessed that she lied is a sign of something. Tate and Sophia were nice too, even though their scenes were a little boring. Holly or Doug III really should have walked in and seen them together. Tate looks good in plaid though 😉😂😂 And as for Gabi and Cat forming a friendship, I don’t mind it. It could be interesting, considering the mystery of EJ’s shooting.

Poor Emma. Her bestie needs to be Trina. Lucas and Marco were sweet today. I'm still gonna feel so bad for Brad though when he inevitably runs into them together. And yeah, they're making this whole Natalia/Sidwell thing a lot bigger than it should be. For a moment, I almost felt like defending Sonny today.

In Ron's case, I think it was his obsessions and his biases that kept it from happening.

I hope we get a definitive answer someday as to why Ron's final weeks were such an improvement.

I've been wondering about that too; that doesn't look like a funeral/memorial Why am I not surprised?

Yeah… I don’t think Roman or Kate was the one who shot EJ but I like the way their parts of the storyline were built up today. It could be some pretty good conflict for the two of them. And I guess Susan was necessary today, but most of her scenes felt like filler to me, except for the last one with Belle. But I did like Belle and Philip commiserating over everything that happened with EJ and with Xander. They actually work well together as friends. Plus, Philip needs someone who’s not his mother to confide in about the letter and his relationship with Xander. Speaking of Xander, he killed it again. He did a really good job ripping Alex today. He brought up a lot of interesting beats about how Alex, Philip, etc. still look down on him and don’t respect him. I admit Sarah did look a little pathetic today but I still like the drama of this storyline and I’m looking forward to seeing it all play out. But yeah, somebody really ought to tell RSW that every time he tries to squeeze out tears, he looks like he’s in pain 😂😂
