Despite most of John’s family not being in this episode, I like that the ripple effects of his death are still being felt across Salem. Welcome back, Jack and Jennifer! I really enjoyed their scenes with Julie. Little family moments like that on soaps are always a good thing. And I agree, Julie. As great as it is to see everybody, I wish it was for a better occasion too. I’m glad that we finally got Tate’s POV regarding John, though his scene with Cat did seem a little random. But I love that Holly rushed to the apartment to comfort him after she found out about John. Despite everything and despite the chemistry that they have with other characters, I like the two of them together. Btw, is Cat looking so closely at the pictures of John and Sami going to mean something in the future? Her date with Chad seemed a little unnecessary though. I also do like the idea of Ari and Holly being friends, mostly because of the mess that it could lead to with Doug III. Tying that mess together with Tate, Sophia, the baby and the guy stalking Doug III could all be pretty good. And yeah, we really should’ve seen Ari talking to Will about John. Hopefully, they have scenes together coming up. And also, Doug III still needs someone much better to confide in about his problems Speaking of that someone, we’re really lucky that Ron was sent packing before John’s death was written because y’all know that if Ron was writing it, Leo would’ve been front and center in all of this, and comforting his “bestie” Marlena 🤮 His scenes with Jack were unnecessary too. Honestly, Jack should be beating the holy hell out of him for what he did to Gwen. And, I’m really interested in the mystery of who Gabi heard EJ arguing with the night he was shot. I don’t think it was Johnny.

But why is everybody telling the attempted murderer that they have evidence of her attempting to murder someone lol is Leslie gonna target Andre or Shanice now? I did kinda feel bad for Hayley though. It makes me think something may happen as a result of her realizing that Dani is always going to be a part of her and Bill’s lives

Yeah... Joss needs to die. So sick of her. And it would be so nice if the professor did it. Btw, ruining Emma is not gonna make people like Joss. It's just gonna make us like Emma more. Luckily, I enjoyed the rest of the episode. And yes, Gio did look hot 😍😂😂 I was totally here for Brook Lynn vs. Lulu, even though I'm Team Brook Lynn. This confrontation definitely need to happen and I hope it's the first of many. I'm curious to see what's going to happen from here. I don't like Ric all that much, but he was kickin' ass today. Hopefully, this leads to Willow getting custody. I did feel bad for Sasha though. I'm still loving how we have to hate Boyle even though he's 100% correct 😂😂😂 And yeah, I still don't know what they're doing with Lucky and Liz but I liked their scenes today. They're so good together, and honestly, they should become like Dante and Sam: a couple with no conflict lol I think they've earned their happily ever after.

But he's the only one of John's kids who can carry on his legacy 😂😂😂

Another great episode. I was loving how everyone had someone to seek comfort in as they absorbed the news about John’s death, particularly Johnny/Chanel and Paul/ Andrew 😊😊 Seriously, Janel has become one of my favorite couples lately. Chanel has been such a steady hand in Johnny’s life and I’m looking forward to seeing how they’re there for each other in the aftermath of John’s death. But I am also looking forward to seeing the next conflict for them lol especially since EJ’s shooting is still dangling out there and that Johnny is gonna start working at Titan. Paul and Andrew were sweet too. I love how Andrew comforted him. Idk if I’d be able to get married so quickly if I was in Paul’s shoes, but I do agree with the fact that it is what John would’ve wanted. I enjoyed their scenes with Will and Carrie too, even though Will and Andrew acted like they weren’t cousins. Hopefully, we’ll get more scenes of them coming up. But yeah, I will never not believe that a Will/Sonny/Paul/Andrew quad is a massive missed opportunity. There are so many story possibilities for the four of them, especially now. But again, if we can’t get them all full time, I’m fine with each couple getting a happily ever after. Away from Salem and safe from Leo. Btw, Colton is really tall 😊😂😂 And, unfortunately it looks like Sami won’t be making it to John’s memorial and that really sucks. Friggin Sydney lol I was also loving Bo’s reunion with his family. They work so well together as a family and I couldn’t be happier that we’re finally getting moments like this. The three of them filling Bo in on what’s been going in Salem for all these years was nice but also a little sad, especially after Bo found out about Victor and Doug. But I wonder if Bo’s going to have any scenes with his new brother, Xander. Or how he’s gonna react to finding out about John. And, I guess it was necessary for Bo to meet Ciara’s little serial killers too.

I've always wondered who was writing the projections from February to July. And why they weren't credited as head writer.

Once again, Giovanni Mazza killed it. He's got a bright future ahead of him, and hopefully GH doesn't lose him as quickly as they lost Nick Chavez. And once again, Emma spoke for all of us. They really need to establish a stronger friendship between her and Trina. And, I'd find that the custody battle would be a lot more interesting if it involved characters that I actually liked Clearly, the WSB needed a new honeypot, and who better than Joss 😂😂😂 I think we're all glad 😂😂😉

A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days. I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it. We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least. Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all. And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

Or at least talk about where he went after he mailed that letter 😂😂

Based on the dialogue today, it did seem like Brook Lynn/AS spent a lot of the episode pointing out how ridiculous the whole rewrite about Gio is 😂😂 But I'm still enjoying the storyline though. Even Sonny wasn't that bad today. His scenes with Gio were necessary, I guess. However, what I did find unnecessary today was this whole Liz/Lucky thing. Just friggin reunite them already.

That sounds like a good idea, but I think Drake was too sick by that point. Christie Clark even said that she tried to go see him when she was in California and she wasn't allowed to. John has to have them both beat. I don't see how he couldn't.

RIP to our hero, John Black 😥😥 I really wonder why they chose to write this whole ‘John is getting better’ part of the storyline, especially since we all knew what was really going to happen. And I hope we find out the answer someday. But as tough and as tearjerking as today was, it was also really beautiful. And the acting, even though a lot of it if not all of it was real, was spectacular. The flashbacks were beautiful too. I honestly can’t even describe how much I enjoyed today. Having so many of John and Marlena’s scenes be focused on the two of them and their love story was the right decision. It was a fitting end to John and Marlena. And I’m also glad that John and Steve got to have one last goodbye after everything that happened. As for Bo and Hope and their family, I did think that some parts were a little unnecessary but I really enjoyed Bo’s dream and his reunion with Zack. The acting playing Zack actually did a pretty good job too. Everybody encouraging Bo to fight was really the right decision in this storyline as well. As for the final minutes of today, be prepared. I actually have tears running down my cheeks as I write this.

That was such a missed opportunity, especially with May sweeps. And, it would’ve been a much better story for Naomi/Jacob than whatever’s going on with June

That’s one of the things I’ve liked since the new writers came in; more interactions between characters that they hadn’t really had scenes with

I always thought that whoever pitched his return story in 2016 just didn't do their homework, and didn't know that the real Roman was the one who killed Orpheus' wife.

That's the one thing I really dislike about all this. Orpheus should not be alive. If anything, I hope he's erased from existence from here on. He has no purpose now that John is dead.

And we thought this week was gonna be the tough one Next week... 😥😥😥
