Exactly. That's a fertile ground, where a lot of drama could be mined from. That's a great idea. Especially since her kidnapping was a part of the Dimera/Kiriakis war at the time. Not only could it cause conflict between Stephanie and Alex/the Kiriakises, it could also be tied to both families trying to buy the hospital, and how that would make the hospital look, since these villainous families both want to own it.

It was all about Gio today, boys 😂😂😂😂 He was really sweet and dorky though, and I enjoyed the violin lol. And he looked good too 😊😊 I'm speculating that the big reveal will happen at Gio's birthday party. It's definitely time. But yeah, he really should've gotten advice and encouragement from someone, from anyone other than Sonny though. And while I understand where Dante is coming from, he was a little annoying today again. They really needed to establish this tension and anger a lot sooner than now, or not do it at all. Plus, this had already been done with Mac/Cody, Nina/Willow, etc., and honestly, it doesn't seem necessary here. As for Lucky and Liz, as much as I like angsty couples, I'm still concerned about what Frank may (or may try to) do with them. The biggest reason why Lucky is like a 'cowboy' is because this friggin guy spent the better part of a decade basically erasing him from existence.

Happy 18th Birthday, Sophia! I like that Tate gave her a birthday party. And that Marlena counseled him about whether or not he has feelings for Sophia, and his relationship with Holly. I like how messy Tate is and I hope he continues to be messy. He just needs to have more argument/fight scenes with Doug III 👊🏻 Days just needs to work a little bit more on establishing better chemistry between Tate and Sophia, but I still think that’s mostly due to Rachel Boyd. Sometimes, I think that Sophia might secretly be scheming, but with the way RB plays it, (if that’s what they’re going for), it doesn’t seem to be working. Tate was also really sweet and dorky during the party too 😊😊 The drug scenes didn’t do much for me though. I don’t mind that Kevin panicked and ran off with the drug once he heard Steve and Shawn coming, but I felt like that story was the weakest part of today. But I am interested in seeing what happens next. And I couldn’t help but laugh when I noticed that Steve and Shawn had matching jackets 😂😂😂 Btw, I see Mayor Price established a quid pro quo with Xander today lol I wouldn’t mind that being more than just a plot point. It could lead to some pretty good drama if it’s handled correctly. And it would be a lot better than Xander declaring war on Sweet Bits/Chanel and Felicity. And Stephanie, finally having her mother to confide in about her life, her relationship with Alex, etc. has been one of the best things about the Paula/Jeanne episodes. The book thing still seems very Ron/Jamey-like though, mostly because it’s so centered around Alex, sort of like how GH used to make storylines about Liz all about Finn or Franco 🤮🤮 Hopefully, Stephanie talks to Kayla about the book. I’d like to hear more of her perspective on it. I also like that Kayla and Marlena were there for each other as well. These are such better ways to use all three of them. And, we got an update about John 😥 One other thing I’ve noticed about the Paula/Jeanne episodes (except for the ones that are worked on by Jamey) is that they’re longer than Ron episodes. Episodes usually clock in at around 40-41 minutes now, as opposed to 35-37, or as short as 31. I like that.

I kinda like that Rachel's not really a demon anymore. Kristen's daughter or not, it wasn't necessary for her to be like that. And just like with GH, we all know that Ron thinks it's funny to write the kids as nasty, obnoxious little sh*ts 😂😂

Either him or Doug III. Those are the only guys in town that she's not related to 😂 He goes to the same tanning salon as his brother, Rex 😂 That could be a pretty good addition to this storyline

Even under the new writers, Jamey episodes are the shortest and the weakest A lot of people were unnecessarily clowny and bitchy today. There was a lot of fluff and filler too. And the dialogue was a little… ehhh as well. But welcome back, Kevin! It’s been a long time lol his return still seems really random but I don’t mind it. Philip’s actions make sense to me based on everything that’s happened to him lately and it could possibly set up more tension between him and Xander/Alex. And I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Kevin team up. I thought the actor did a good job too. Too bad that they couldn’t get Robert Benvenisti back though. I didn’t realize it in 2001 but he was hot 😂😂😂 And, we got the word that Arianna wants to come home. I’m looking forward to that, and seeing her relationships with Gabi, Marlena, etc. on display and I hope that As for Rachel’s birthday party… was Days hinting at something that we’ve been speculating about since EJ was shot?

Wait, what? So, Martin’s not running for President anymore? Just like that? I didn’t expect this storyline to be long term but I would’ve liked to see it play out for a little while longer, or at least until Martin’s secret was revealed. And definitely not fade out with a whimper. Sort of like Naomi’s lawsuit against Bill’s firm; what was the point of it all if it was just gonna wrapped up so easily and (probably) forgotten about? Eva is still the breakout character though. I’m looking forward to seeing where she goes from here with everyone, especially if the twist that we’re all suspecting turns out to be true. And I did find the gambling storyline interesting finally, now that we know Joey’s endgame. I’d like to see it play out and to see what happens to everybody involved in it. As for Derek/Ashley… I wonder how it would’ve played out if they actually had cast Mike Manning as Derek. Yeah, the writing isn’t there but I imagine that Derek would have more of a personality lol and I also imagine that it would’ve made Ron Carlivati’s head explode 😂😂😂😂 Ben Gavin did look hot though

So, Roman admitted that everything he did was to protect Johnny. I like that. It adds another dynamic to this storyline. And it’s also a much better use of the character of Roman. He’s been stuck in the Pub for too long lol I’m also really liking the way that Roman and Kate’s relationship has been written lately. As for Josh Taylor’s voice… no comment 😂😂😂 And speaking of relationships, I’ve also been seeing improvements in the relationships between Johnny and Paulina as well. I enjoyed their scenes today. They really feel more like an actual mother in law and son in law. I’m cringing a little at the way that Paulina would’ve been written had Ron stayed on a little longer. This type of writing is the exact thing that the character of Paulina needed, especially for a storyline like this. I am a little intrigued with the idea of EJ and Xander going head to head over buying the hospital too, mostly because of how it could drive other storylines, couples, etc.,like EJ and Belle. Him basically using Belle as his own personal fixer, both with Johnny and the hospital board could lead to something interesting happening in the future. And Philip, doing whatever he can in order to get back in Xander’s good graces is a good addition to this storyline as well. Btw, I don’t dislike it at all but I still can’t believe that they’re And yeah, sorry, I know that Days means well but I think they’re making a little too much out of this Xander/Felicity thing. But Xander and Sarah were sweet today. I’m looking forward to seeing everything between them get blown to hell. Seriously, one of the worst, if not the worst, team in soap history.

He joined Julian in Bermuda when he getting a divorce from Ivy. And, was the one who tricked Theresa and Julian in to believing that they had gotten married there. That would be nice. That was such a good book, and it was too bad that the show retconned it so much. I still have my copy somewhere.

I can't help but think that this was a Ron/Jamey plot, that Paula/Jeanne just decided to run with. Hopefully, it'll be written better than what we've had to endure previously. Roman runs it, and she helps. Interesting. I felt a similar way every time Ben called Charlie, 'Chuck' 😂😂
