I get that GH wants to hate Drew and Willow but constantly trotting out the worst characters on the damn show to shame them doesn’t work and it never will. It just makes me want to do the exact opposite. Luckily, Gio’s performance was immediately after that, and just as I expected, he killed it. He’s so talented and he had some really nice moves. The two main couples were front and center today and I couldn’t be happier. I was actually a little surprised that Xander figured out that Sarah knew about Philip’s fraud. The way the Philip/Xander scene was written, I thought the secret was going to be dragged out for a little longer. Which I actually wouldn’t have minded but I really enjoyed Sarah and Xander’s scenes today. They were acted well and written well. You got a real understanding of why Xander and Sarah did the things that they did. And now that Xander’s moving out, I can’t wait to see what happens next for them. And I guess now we know why Abe and Paulina got a new apartment. I’m glad that Johnny and Chanel have a place of their own now. I think it’s just needs a paint job though lol Johnny and Chanel were sweet today too but I hope that this isn’t the end of the drama for them. The drama of Chanel’s suspicions about Johnny could play out for so long and o hope that it does. Johnny did look hot too but he could’ve looked hot for a little longer 😂😂😂 The fundraiser at the Small Bar seemed a little random though but I like how everyone, and their storylines became involved in it. And I’m not really sure about Cat being so goofy all of a sudden. And, Maggie was used very well today too. First, with Philip and then to comfort Sarah.

As much as I love the Nurses Ball, the campiness of it all always comes off as strange and a little cringey, because GH isn't often like that. But whatevs, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. The surprise with Kai was kinda sweet. I wish they had spent more time on that, and given us more of Trina's POV, instead of rushing through it and talking more about his surgery. But yeah, poor Gio. He really should've escorted Emma instead of Joss 🤮 I'm looking forward to seeing him perform though And, poor Tracy too. She will never be the bad guy in this whole situation with Sonny, Drew, etc., no matter how Chris and Elizabeth (or Frank) choose to write it. Btw, since this is the Nurses Ball, where the hell is Nurse Liz? 😂😂

Shelle 😊 Call me crazy but I still think there’s hope for them. Their scenes today proved it to me. I loved how they were there for each other and talked about what’s going on with their fathers. And how Belle helped Shawn get a lead on Kevin’s roommate. Their relationship, at the moment, seems so natural. In a way, it reminds me of how Sami/Rafe were after they got divorced. And while I do like Shawn/Jada and EJ/Belle as couples, I’m looking forward to going along for the ride and (hopefully) seeing Shawn and Belle find their way back to each other. And I still think there’s hope for Gabi and JJ too. I don’t see them as an endgame couple but I do enjoy them together. Javi was a pain in the ass though and kinda messed up their scenes. And also messed up Gabi’s reunion with Arianna. Speaking of Arianna, I’m glad that she’s back in Salem. And she did have a point about Gabi and Javi. But yeah, Javi’s still a pain in the ass lol his scenes with Leo weren’t bad though, surprisingly. Mostly because they were centered around him and not Leo. That definitely wouldn’t have happened a few months ago 😂😂 It’s too soon to make any judgments about the actress playing Arianna but I’m looking forward to seeing her storyline. And to seeing the interactions that she has with other characters on the canvas. Hopefully, she won’t be friendly with the guy who tortured and sexually assaulted her fathers. I also enjoyed Julie’s reunion with Doug III. Her being so stubborn and resistant today was classic Julie. I still kinda feel bad for Doug III though.

I've been liking the writing for them lately. Positioning them, and Johnny/Chanel as the two main, frontburner couples was a really good idea.

Well, Catherine Hicks did say once that the only way she'd agree to a reboot is if started with Eric's funeral. I used to love this show when I was little but I watch it now and all I do is roll my eyes. The writing was so heavy handed and honestly, the Camdens were a bunch of pretentious, judgmental snobs 😂😂

Poor Philip. I appreciate how seriously his and Xander’s scenes were taken though. It felt like real drama and not like a big joke. You could actually feel Xander’s pain and anger. It adds another dynamic to the Kiriakis family storylines and I’m looking forward to the effects that this is going to have across the canvas. I can see them weaving Kate and Roman into this storyline as well. And it would be really nice if this somehow helped cause conflict for Stephanie/Alex too, especially because of what Alex did today. With any luck, Stephanie will be furious about it. And I’m glad that Sarah has Maggie to confide in about her secret. I also liked seeing Steve and Shawn (and their matching jackets 😂😂😂) continue to be on the case. Kevin, revealing everything to them is another interesting turn in this storyline. Plus, it seems the writing has improved for Shawn as well.

I don’t think it was intentional. Because if it was, I imagine it would’ve been mentioned in one of those ‘Welcome to the Neighborhood’ specials that aired.

Agreed Anita and Vernon definitely needed a son or two. The Duprees are the core family, yet the name practically doesn’t even exist anymore. Some slot machines would be nice 😂😂😂

I've really been enjoying seeing him/Smitty interact with other actors/characters

Bill and Smitty was the best part of today. I like the parallel that was drawn between them as "Dupree outsiders." It's similar to Bill's friendship with Ted and I enjoy both of the relationships that Bill has with them. I seriously wonder if anybody behind the scenes thought that the character of Bill was going to be as well liked as he is. Btw, I see that they're not covering up Mike Manning's tat 😂😂 Pamela talking like Bernadette Peters isn't really working for me though lol neither is Naomi and Jacob's part in June's storyline. But I am interested in what's going to happen once Jacob gets Leslie to the police station.

Not much happened today. But @brisbydog, all of our wish came true: no Leo this week 😂😂😂😂 I guess Susan was necessary today, but I really wish she’d leave. Marlena putting EJ on blast about Belle was pretty good though, and I hope they continue to use Marlena in their storyline. I’m interested in seeing what happens to EJelle in the aftermath of the John storyline. And I really wish we were seeing Paul and Andrew moving in on John’s location. If they can’t get Christopher Sean on the show, they should at least try to get Colton Little. I liked how smart Xander was today and that he immediately that Philip stole the drug. He did a pretty good job in his scenes where he confronted Philip as well. I also appreciate the way that Philip’s been written lately; more like a tragic hero than a bratty, goofy clown. Which is all the more reason that I hope the triangle with Stephanie and Alex is revived. But Xander did seem a little overly melodramatic in his last scene though 😂 And, I can’t help but think that Dr. Russell being so hesitant about involving the police in the drug theft could be a sign of something.

Thank you. And above all, it's conflict, which is what soap opera is. Not characters just being annoying because a writer rushes through story for them. 😂

Too soon to make any judgments about nuTed, but I will say that I think they should've gone older. And I also saw some chemistry between Bill and Leslie as well lol but Bill's part in Ted and Leslie's affair/Bill and Ted's friendship needed to be established a lot sooner than when the reveal happened. Their relationship could be a really good counterpoint to the Duprees. But I really liked the parallel that was drawn between Kat and Chelsea, and what their father's did. I like their relationship and I hope they go on to investigate Laura's accident. I just hope it doesn't come until something happens between Eva and Tomas. Btw, Happy Birthday, Eva! A lot of birthdays today 😂😂
