Under Ron, it was usually between #6-8 😂😂 I imagine he would've done a good job with the tribute to John... but I also worry that he would've made Leo a part of it His face is completely bandaged, similar to how he looked when he first came into Days. Welcome back, Will and Eric! They were both used so well today. I’m so glad that they’re going to be here for Marlena and everybody. She definitely needs them. And I love that we got a flashback of Will and John, and that Will credits him as the reason that he’s so courageous. Hopefully, he has scenes with Arianna coming up, and possibly Doug III. I think there’s a storyline there, especially considering what Will said about her being so stubborn and also a little similar to John. Btw, even though Chandler Massey is technically old enough to have an 18 year old child, he definitely doesn’t look it lol And we got a Will and Paul reunion too. It really is too bad that we can’t get them full time. There’s still so much drama that can be mined from the two of them, and their relationships with Sonny and Andrew, especially now. But with Leo still slithering around, I guess it’s for the best that we’re not getting that 😂😂 And I love that Will was there for Johnny too. We never really got to see their relationship on screen and I’m glad that we got some of it today. I wish their scenes had been a little longer though. There’s a lot more that they need to discuss about EJ and the rape. But I like that Will comforted him about whether or not he was worthy of having John’s name. And that Marlena was able to shrink him about leaving EJ in the square after he fell. Eric’s reunion with everybody was really sweet too. I loved the dorky family moment 😊😊 Belle is still being a total douche but I like the drama of her storyline. And I do think that she isn’t being completely stupid, when it comes to EJ. I’m glad that she has Brady though, who was also used very well today. He was breaking my heart in the scene where he was at John’s bedside. And, congratulations EJ. I think lol But I have to say, all this talk about John’s miraculous recovery is a little tough to here 😥 And, the final scene with John and Marlena 😥😥

Dante, FTW! It's about time someone finally ripped Lulu a new one. She's been insufferable these past weeks and I'm glad that someone finally called her out on it. But Dante blaming Lulu for Gio wanting nothing to do with him was a bit of a stretch though. That's all on you, bro. Btw, did Olivia seriously blame herself for Sonny shooting Dante?? Gio and Emma were really sweet though. I love how she was there for him. She's definitely the friend that he needs right now. Hopefully, they get to share their first kiss soon 😊 And agreed, that Rory Gibson is doing a good job. He doesn't seem to be blowing as much hot air as (Sorry, Chad) Chad Duell used to do sometimes. I do think that Michael still seems to be a bit of a bitch when it comes to how he's dealing with Sasha and the baby but that's on the writing, not Rory. And I really, really hope that he directs some of this anger at Sonny too. And yeah, with the way Drew was speaking to Willow in the car today... maybe that rumor is true 😂😂

I think GM would’ve worked as a recast Cam too The storyline could’ve even been that Cam was still learning the violin over the last year and the Nurses Ball was meant to be his big break. And it would’ve been nice to see Cam move on with Emma

Not much happened today, but there were a lot of good scenes. It was nice seeing people have someone to talk to about everything that’s been going on, especially Chad and EJ. I liked that Chad was there for him after what happened with Johnny yesterday. EJ convincing Chad to vote for him at the board meeting could lead to something interesting happening as well. I also enjoyed seeing Kayla, Julie and Maggie all going head to head with Xander. The writing seems to have improved for all three of them. NuRachel did a good job too. Just the way she delivers her lines sounds less evil than the other one did lol I still think that there’s something more to what she told Brady and Kristen. And I’m glad that Brady ripped EJ too. It was very well deserved, and I hope it was the first time of many. Belle was a little stupid in that scene though. Btw, I didn’t expect the fate of the hospital to be all up to Brady lol And, we got an update about Bo. It would be nice to see it though. I’m enjoying all these storylines, but too much of it seems to be happening offscreen.

Andrea Barber aka Kimmy Gibbler did have a few scenes with Drake too, when he first came on. Christie came in the middle of that storyline

Today was a really long one. 49 minutes. But, welcome back, Carrie! I wish it were under better circumstances though. Her scenes with John and Marlena were the best part of today. It was almost like Christie Clark had never left. I’m so glad that she was brought back for John’s tribute. Carrie always had such a great relationship with each of them and both were on full display today. I did tear up a little bit when Marlena told Carrie that she was also her and John’s daughter as well. And when John reacted to Carrie touching his hand. The lengthy flashback was really nice too. And I agree Carrie, despite being a super spy, John was always best at being a Dad. And, now we know that Noah is the same age as Tate, Holly and Arianna. And I still think we should have seen Johnny visiting John, but I enjoyed his scenes with Roman. I liked the conversation and that they had. The encouragement that Roman gave him was the one thing that Johnny needed. I’m really glad that the writers have put such on a strong emphasis on their relationship. In some ways, it also plays into the way that they’ve moved Johnny/Chanel to the frontburner, which is exactly where they should be. The mystery of Roman’s gun and the lockbox was pretty interesting as well. I still don’t think Johnny’s the shooter though I was a little surprised that Kristen was included in John’s storyline as well. Even though it isn’t ED playing it, I thought Stacy did pretty well actually. And she also did well when she broke the news to Rachel. Btw, @janea4old, I see that Abe was wearing purple too. And he was used very well today with Kate and with John. Much, much better than the last time he was used with Kate😂😂😂 His scene with John was another tearjerker too.

Congratulations, Hayley! Even though, I agree that it is too soon to give her a baby. And I’m enjoying Martin/Smitty more but I still think that sometimes Martin gets into the habit of talking down to him, and he seemed to do it again at the diner. I’m hope Smitty continues to investigate what’s going on between Bill and Martin. And yeah, Tomas has more chemistry with Eva than he does with Kat.

Will doesn’t look too thrilled though 😂😂😂😂 And, agreed. It is too bad about PM

What a masterclass today was. Great acting, great writing. Episodes like this (and like yesterday's Days) are truly what soap opera is. And I agree with everybody that every character's actions are defensible in some way. Giovanni Mazza is still shining brightly. His scenes with Jane Elliot were the best part of today. I'm so looking forward to seeing their relationship grow. And I'm also looking forward to what's going to happen with Brook Lynn and Lois, and how they're going to come back from this. Amanda Setton killed it as well. Plus, this is a much better way to use Lois/RS than that My Fair Lady ripoff that they did last year. And I couldn't be happier that Dante's sudden animosity towards Gio didn't lead to the reveal be dragged out for any longer, because with the way that GH is sometimes, I was really worried that it was going to be. This storyline can go in so many different directions and I'm totally here for it. Hopefully, Gio is kept in the Quartermaine's orbit, as opposed to Sonny and his dopey family. Speaking of Sonny's dopey family, I enjoyed Rory Gibson's scenes with Wiley. He seemed believable as his father. But I also thought that his scenes with Sasha were a little... ehhh. I won't compare him to Chad Duell though. Trina and Kai were really sweet too. They're no Sprina, but I enjoy them together. And Kai looked hot too 😍😂😂 And despite the height difference, I'm glad that they didn't have Tabyana tiptoe to kiss Jens. That's a Sprina thing 😂😂😂

What a terrible opening scene. It was definitely not what we needed after such a great episode yesterday. Luckily, the following scenes were much better. And Doug III and Johnny looked hot 😍😂😂 I’m glad that John wasn’t completely forgotten about today though. The children got to absorb the news about him yesterday but today, it was the grandchildren’s turn. I would’ve liked to have seen Tate, and Johnny go see John, but I enjoyed Johnny and Chanel comforting him after his visit, even though the acting was a little… ehhh. And Johnny’s speech to Chanel about John was a bit of a tearjerker. I’m so glad that they’ve decided to name one of their future kids after John. And I like how happy the two of them are, but I’m looking forward to the next conflict, especially with EJ’s shooting still lingering. But yeah, it also appears that Gabi has a lot to learn about her daughter. I liked how Arianna hinted that Gabi wasn’t around all that much when she was growing up because that is completely a fact lol and it could play into their storyline in the future. And I really hope that Arianna Speaking of Arianna, she and Doug III were kind of sweet together. I don’t mind them going at it so quickly but I still think we should have seen more scenes with them last week. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens for the two of them, and for Tate/Holly, etc. Btw, Doug III is so broke, yet he was able to pay for a room at the Salem Inn 😂😂😂 And yeah, Paul/Andrew >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Javi/Leo

Same here. I wasn't the biggest fan of him (or those faces he'd make) when he first came back lol but he's grown on me. And, since the new writers came in, I feel like there's been a lot more depth and maturity in his character.

Her whole explanation was pretty dumb 😂 The writers really should’ve consulted Jason47 or another Days expert before they wrote the reasons for Paul’s existence, and why John never knew about him. Luckily, Christopher Sean got me to overlook it 😂😂😂

Yeah… this is gonna be a tough week 😥 But there was some amazing acting today, from everybody. As hard as these times are, it’s also time like this that you realize how good some of these actors are. And I can’t help but think that some of the tears were real. I loved seeing all three of John’s kids together. It really is too bad that we can’t Christopher Sean/Paul full time because he has such great chemistry with Eric and Martha. And because Paul can be the levelheaded one when Brady and Belle are being stupid lol Paul, revealing to Brady that he feels like he’s the only one of John’s kids or step kids to miss out on having a relationship with him was kinda sad but also really sweet. I like that Brady was there to comfort him. And we got a flashback to the Pride party too. I was a little surprised to see Xander and Maggie going to head to head so fiercely. They’ve always had such a great relationship that I didn’t expect it to disappear so quickly. But I enjoyed their scenes. There was some really good drama. Maggie was in full Mama Bear mode today and she told Xander a lot of hard truths. Sarah and Belle blaming Xander for John’s accident was a little bit of a stretch though. Btw, the final scene was totally unexpected to me. In some way, it did make sense based on the anger that Xander was feeling.

Great news! Maybe since it’s clear that Days is the one that’s paying most of the bills, Peacock can put a little bit more money into it. A new set or two, maybe? Or an increase in the number of contract actors that are allowed to appear in each episode.
