Bill and Smitty was the best part of today. I like the parallel that was drawn between them as "Dupree outsiders." It's similar to Bill's friendship with Ted and I enjoy both of the relationships that Bill has with them. I seriously wonder if anybody behind the scenes thought that the character of Bill was going to be as well liked as he is. Btw, I see that they're not covering up Mike Manning's tat 😂😂 Pamela talking like Bernadette Peters isn't really working for me though lol neither is Naomi and Jacob's part in June's storyline. But I am interested in what's going to happen once Jacob gets Leslie to the police station.

Not much happened today. But @brisbydog, all of our wish came true: no Leo this week 😂😂😂😂 I guess Susan was necessary today, but I really wish she’d leave. Marlena putting EJ on blast about Belle was pretty good though, and I hope they continue to use Marlena in their storyline. I’m interested in seeing what happens to EJelle in the aftermath of the John storyline. And I really wish we were seeing Paul and Andrew moving in on John’s location. If they can’t get Christopher Sean on the show, they should at least try to get Colton Little. I liked how smart Xander was today and that he immediately that Philip stole the drug. He did a pretty good job in his scenes where he confronted Philip as well. I also appreciate the way that Philip’s been written lately; more like a tragic hero than a bratty, goofy clown. Which is all the more reason that I hope the triangle with Stephanie and Alex is revived. But Xander did seem a little overly melodramatic in his last scene though 😂 And, I can’t help but think that Dr. Russell being so hesitant about involving the police in the drug theft could be a sign of something.

Thank you. And above all, it's conflict, which is what soap opera is. Not characters just being annoying because a writer rushes through story for them. 😂

Too soon to make any judgments about nuTed, but I will say that I think they should've gone older. And I also saw some chemistry between Bill and Leslie as well lol but Bill's part in Ted and Leslie's affair/Bill and Ted's friendship needed to be established a lot sooner than when the reveal happened. Their relationship could be a really good counterpoint to the Duprees. But I really liked the parallel that was drawn between Kat and Chelsea, and what their father's did. I like their relationship and I hope they go on to investigate Laura's accident. I just hope it doesn't come until something happens between Eva and Tomas. Btw, Happy Birthday, Eva! A lot of birthdays today 😂😂

Exactly. That's a fertile ground, where a lot of drama could be mined from. That's a great idea. Especially since her kidnapping was a part of the Dimera/Kiriakis war at the time. Not only could it cause conflict between Stephanie and Alex/the Kiriakises, it could also be tied to both families trying to buy the hospital, and how that would make the hospital look, since these villainous families both want to own it.

It was all about Gio today, boys 😂😂😂😂 He was really sweet and dorky though, and I enjoyed the violin lol. And he looked good too 😊😊 I'm speculating that the big reveal will happen at Gio's birthday party. It's definitely time. But yeah, he really should've gotten advice and encouragement from someone, from anyone other than Sonny though. And while I understand where Dante is coming from, he was a little annoying today again. They really needed to establish this tension and anger a lot sooner than now, or not do it at all. Plus, this had already been done with Mac/Cody, Nina/Willow, etc., and honestly, it doesn't seem necessary here. As for Lucky and Liz, as much as I like angsty couples, I'm still concerned about what Frank may (or may try to) do with them. The biggest reason why Lucky is like a 'cowboy' is because this friggin guy spent the better part of a decade basically erasing him from existence.

The guy who comes in after him might be worse” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Happy 18th Birthday, Sophia! I like that Tate gave her a birthday party. And that Marlena counseled him about whether or not he has feelings for Sophia, and his relationship with Holly. I like how messy Tate is and I hope he continues to be messy. He just needs to have more argument/fight scenes with Doug III 👊🏻 Days just needs to work a little bit more on establishing better chemistry between Tate and Sophia, but I still think that’s mostly due to Rachel Boyd. Sometimes, I think that Sophia might secretly be scheming, but with the way RB plays it, (if that’s what they’re going for), it doesn’t seem to be working. Tate was also really sweet and dorky during the party too 😊😊 The drug scenes didn’t do much for me though. I don’t mind that Kevin panicked and ran off with the drug once he heard Steve and Shawn coming, but I felt like that story was the weakest part of today. But I am interested in seeing what happens next. And I couldn’t help but laugh when I noticed that Steve and Shawn had matching jackets 😂😂😂 Btw, I see Mayor Price established a quid pro quo with Xander today lol I wouldn’t mind that being more than just a plot point. It could lead to some pretty good drama if it’s handled correctly. And it would be a lot better than Xander declaring war on Sweet Bits/Chanel and Felicity. And Stephanie, finally having her mother to confide in about her life, her relationship with Alex, etc. has been one of the best things about the Paula/Jeanne episodes. The book thing still seems very Ron/Jamey-like though, mostly because it’s so centered around Alex, sort of like how GH used to make storylines about Liz all about Finn or Franco 🤮🤮 Hopefully, Stephanie talks to Kayla about the book. I’d like to hear more of her perspective on it. I also like that Kayla and Marlena were there for each other as well. These are such better ways to use all three of them. And, we got an update about John 😥 One other thing I’ve noticed about the Paula/Jeanne episodes (except for the ones that are worked on by Jamey) is that they’re longer than Ron episodes. Episodes usually clock in at around 40-41 minutes now, as opposed to 35-37, or as short as 31. I like that.

I kinda like that Rachel's not really a demon anymore. Kristen's daughter or not, it wasn't necessary for her to be like that. And just like with GH, we all know that Ron thinks it's funny to write the kids as nasty, obnoxious little sh*ts 😂😂

Either him or Doug III. Those are the only guys in town that she's not related to 😂 He goes to the same tanning salon as his brother, Rex 😂 That could be a pretty good addition to this storyline

Even under the new writers, Jamey episodes are the shortest and the weakest A lot of people were unnecessarily clowny and bitchy today. There was a lot of fluff and filler too. And the dialogue was a little… ehhh as well. But welcome back, Kevin! It’s been a long time lol his return still seems really random but I don’t mind it. Philip’s actions make sense to me based on everything that’s happened to him lately and it could possibly set up more tension between him and Xander/Alex. And I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Kevin team up. I thought the actor did a good job too. Too bad that they couldn’t get Robert Benvenisti back though. I didn’t realize it in 2001 but he was hot 😂😂😂 And, we got the word that Arianna wants to come home. I’m looking forward to that, and seeing her relationships with Gabi, Marlena, etc. on display and I hope that As for Rachel’s birthday party… was Days hinting at something that we’ve been speculating about since EJ was shot?

Maybe if there had been a good close up or two 😂😂

Wait, what? So, Martin’s not running for President anymore? Just like that? I didn’t expect this storyline to be long term but I would’ve liked to see it play out for a little while longer, or at least until Martin’s secret was revealed. And definitely not fade out with a whimper. Sort of like Naomi’s lawsuit against Bill’s firm; what was the point of it all if it was just gonna wrapped up so easily and (probably) forgotten about? Eva is still the breakout character though. I’m looking forward to seeing where she goes from here with everyone, especially if the twist that we’re all suspecting turns out to be true. And I did find the gambling storyline interesting finally, now that we know Joey’s endgame. I’d like to see it play out and to see what happens to everybody involved in it. As for Derek/Ashley… I wonder how it would’ve played out if they actually had cast Mike Manning as Derek. Yeah, the writing isn’t there but I imagine that Derek would have more of a personality lol and I also imagine that it would’ve made Ron Carlivati’s head explode 😂😂😂😂 Ben Gavin did look hot though
