Priorities 😂😂😂😂 It really is too bad that Will/Sonny/Paul/ Andrew aren’t full time. John’s death could’ve led to so many storylines for them.

What a terrible opening scene. It was definitely not what we needed after such a great episode yesterday. Luckily, the following scenes were much better. And Doug III and Johnny looked hot 😍😂😂 I’m glad that John wasn’t completely forgotten about today though. The children got to absorb the news about him yesterday but today, it was the grandchildren’s turn. I would’ve liked to have seen Tate, and Johnny go see John, but I enjoyed Johnny and Chanel comforting him after his visit, even though the acting was a little… ehhh. And Johnny’s speech to Chanel about John was a bit of a tearjerker. I’m so glad that they’ve decided to name one of their future kids after John. And I like how happy the two of them are, but I’m looking forward to the next conflict, especially with EJ’s shooting still lingering. But yeah, it also appears that Gabi has a lot to learn about her daughter. I liked how Arianna hinted that Gabi wasn’t around all that much when she was growing up because that is completely a fact lol and it could play into their storyline in the future. And I really hope that Arianna Speaking of Arianna, she and Doug III were kind of sweet together. I don’t mind them going at it so quickly but I still think we should have seen more scenes with them last week. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens for the two of them, and for Tate/Holly, etc. Btw, Doug III is so broke, yet he was able to pay for a room at the Salem Inn 😂😂😂 And yeah, Paul/Andrew >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Javi/Leo

Same here. I wasn't the biggest fan of him (or those faces he'd make) when he first came back lol but he's grown on me. And, since the new writers came in, I feel like there's been a lot more depth and maturity in his character.

Her whole explanation was pretty dumb 😂 The writers really should’ve consulted Jason47 or another Days expert before they wrote the reasons for Paul’s existence, and why John never knew about him. Luckily, Christopher Sean got me to overlook it 😂😂😂

Yeah… this is gonna be a tough week 😥 But there was some amazing acting today, from everybody. As hard as these times are, it’s also time like this that you realize how good some of these actors are. And I can’t help but think that some of the tears were real. I loved seeing all three of John’s kids together. It really is too bad that we can’t Christopher Sean/Paul full time because he has such great chemistry with Eric and Martha. And because Paul can be the levelheaded one when Brady and Belle are being stupid lol Paul, revealing to Brady that he feels like he’s the only one of John’s kids or step kids to miss out on having a relationship with him was kinda sad but also really sweet. I like that Brady was there to comfort him. And we got a flashback to the Pride party too. I was a little surprised to see Xander and Maggie going to head to head so fiercely. They’ve always had such a great relationship that I didn’t expect it to disappear so quickly. But I enjoyed their scenes. There was some really good drama. Maggie was in full Mama Bear mode today and she told Xander a lot of hard truths. Sarah and Belle blaming Xander for John’s accident was a little bit of a stretch though. Btw, the final scene was totally unexpected to me. In some way, it did make sense based on the anger that Xander was feeling.

Great news! Maybe since it’s clear that Days is the one that’s paying most of the bills, Peacock can put a little bit more money into it. A new set or two, maybe? Or an increase in the number of contract actors that are allowed to appear in each episode.

I don’t know either 😂 But having some random junkie extra be a part of John’s death, and Orpheus still being alive doesn’t feel right I have no problem with the age gap, but I admit I do kind of side eye the high school element. I mean, when they hooked up 21 year old Casey Moss with 53 year old Kassie DePaiva, I had no problem, but this… 😂😂😂

Cutting all the scenes of Joss would’ve opened up even more time 😂😂😂

Welcome, Rory Gibson! Now, please give Michael his balls back 🙏🙏 I hope Michael is written as enough of a villain to go head to head not only with Drew, but with Sonny and Carly as well. I mean, not for nothing, it technically is Sonny's fault that he almost died... again. And I hope that the fact that he took Wiley and left the ball without saying a word to anybody means that that's going to happen. Speaking of Sonny, making the fallout from the Gio reveal all about him was not a good idea, grandfather or not. Out of every character involved in those scenes today, Ned was the one who stood out to me the most. Wally did a pretty good job. Btw, what was that nonsense that Kai was spewing out? We all knew who really was the best performer at the Nurses Ball this year. But I do have to admit, I really liked the final act though 😊😊 And, I love Lucas and Elizabeth's relationship too. Plus, he looked really good in that tux 😍 Casting has good taste 😂😂😂 Agreed. That's someone on Twitter just trying to cause trouble

I spent the afternoon coming up with an alternative story idea for John's death. Suppose, Orpheus wasn't caught after Marlena, Steve, Paul and Andrew foiled the nuclear bomb plot, but took John as his prisoner and went on the lam. Eventually, it gets revealed that he was the one who had the sepsis drug stolen, not some random junkie. And he uses that, and John as bait to lure Marlena, Steve, Shawn, etc. to where he's holding John. While they're all searching for Orpheus, John and the drug, Shawn manages to find the drug and rushes off to save Bo, but immediately after that, Orpheus captures Steve and Marlena and ties them up in a room with John, who's also tied up and weak but has a bomb strapped to his chest. As the bomb ticks down, Orpheus explains that he's finally going to kill them all, once and for all. But just as he's about to leave the room, and the timer on the bomb reaches zero, John breaks free of his restraints and attacks Orpheus. They struggle, fall out a window and the bomb explodes, killing both John and Orpheus. Idk if that's the best idea in the world, but it seems to work for me. Not only would it have John die as a hero, but it would also rid us of Orpheus, who I hope is completely forgotten about now. Even though Marlena, Steve, Roman, etc. are still on canvas, he has no purpose anymore now that John is dead. And it just doesn't feel right to me that John is gonna be dead, while Orpheus is still alive. In some ways, it almost feels like, after all these years, he beat John. Which is total crap. If Stefano couldn't beat John, there's no way this pain in the ass could do it 😂

Everything happened too fast with Doug III/Ari. The script literally went from Point A to Point Z in one scene. We should’ve seen Point B, C, D, etc. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with John dying as a hero to save Bo. It’s just that everything surrounding it seemed to be a problem. John disappearing/Orpheus and the bomb turning out to be nothing, fighting with some random U/5 junkie to get the drug, John getting back to Salem and not seeing Marlena and his family, etc. John Black getting taken out by some random junkie?

Happy 40th anniversary, Bo and Hope! 🎉🎉🎉 And it was so great to see them again, and for the two of them to finally have scenes with both Shawn and Ciara, as a family. I especially enjoyed the first scene with Hope at Bo’s bedside and the flashback to their wedding. It was really sweet. Victoria Konefal did a really good job too. It really is a shame that things didn’t work out with her… and that her character was so disregarded by the previous writing team. And yeah, they really didn’t need to have Ciara mention her serial killer though. It was not necessary. I mean, Ron’s gone lol we don’t need to do this anymore. And I don’t know where she was going with those leather pants either. 😂😂😂 As for John, like I said yesterday, I just don’t know. I’m glad that he’s a part of trying to save Bo’s life, but to have him go out like this… As much as I disliked the whole Orpheus thing, maybe they should’ve continued on with that for John’s exit story. Like I said before, and have John sacrifice his own life to kill Orpheus once and for all. Because the fact that Orpheus is still gonna be alive while John isn’t kinda pisses me off. I can’t help but wonder if this was always planned or if Paula/Jeanne changed the story. But I think this whole thing is gonna be very divisive. Soap Twitter/social media will probably be explosive today.

I just hope it doesn’t become a constant thing. Like with Days, it’s funny the first time, but after the 475th time, it isn’t anymore.
