  1. Y'know, I purged all my rage on Crash and some other stuff, so I don't get into the increasingly OTT Oscars psychodrama most years anymore. It's become so hot take histrionic and cliquish. When the Oscars disappoint me now all I can do is laugh at this point. It's not the worst thing to ever win but it's still so white-centric, derivative, schlocky and full of issues. It is a shocker, but it's typical of the older Academy voters. You'd think they'd have gotten it out of their system after Driving Miss Daisy and Crash but here we are. I like BP a lot but def did not think it deserved Best Picture. I sure would've preferred it over this though.
  2. Crash: Part II!
  3. I do love Olivia Colman so I'm not upset. Glenn is still a goddess.
  4. I like Rami Malek, but eeeesh. Very happy for Regina King, Gaga and Ali, and for Jaime Ray Newman - pretty sure I was the only one who liked Kristina #1 on GH. And Spike. If Roma can't take it they better give best picture to Black KKKlansman.
  5. That article seems like more typical right-leaning Politico clickbait on examination tbh, but that's just my take.
  6. This was posted like a month ago, but what the hell.
  7. I am burning through Season 2 and 3 for the next week.
  8. #RenewODAAT is now trending after this:
  9. Yet more Buyer Beware:
  10. Michael Rooker has a voice cameo as a key character in the penultimate episode of this season's True Detective.
  11. In case today wasn't going bad enough:
  12. Mandy Moore, his ex, has backed up a lot of this.
  13. The 25 Years Later fansite interviews Joy Nash (Senorita Dido). I may have posted this one before but it's worthwhile: A Kimmy Robertson interview.
  14. I actually really liked the "confession" promos ABC did in '99-'00 - I can't remember which year, and I also can't remember if they were exclusive to OLTL. They were black and white monologues from various characters. The stories on OLTL sucked, but I loved the little showcases for Erika Slezak, etc. I can't find any now sadly.
  15. Whither wall:
  16. We have to find it!!
  17. Russian Doll is great so far, but I'm only halfway through. Natasha Lyonne is a force of nature and it brings back so much of my years in NYC.
  18. Until today where there's a lot of fun promos, I just never got Clarence. But again, I didn't grow up with them. He's genius compared to the bizarre staccato-delivery voice guy they have doing the DAYS promos though. I remember this and am now dying to see it again. I could swear it was actually the end tag of an episode? I thought @DRW50 linked it once. And I believe it was, of course, the Jill Farren Phelps era, where all male meat was hers to survey and judge.
  19. I just always crack up at how it's like "WHAT!!! In the Name of Love" and then you can hear the dude going 'what!' occasionally throughout. The GL attempt at a "Hot Enough for You" Daniel Bedingfield promo featured an even less exciting couple which sadly cannot be embedded, so click here. I could not get through ten seconds of "Where The Boys Are". I love Cat Hickland but once I saw her bopping around singing I'm like nah I'm good, thanks. This is the same reason I avoided those awful SoapNet singing promos like the plague so PLEASE NO ONE BRING THEM BACK.
