  1. I always suspected Olivia was a course correct by Guza or the show. Yes, the Dante story had been percolating and in development for a long, long time - I remember talk of it long before they began casting or referencing it onscreen - but I got the sense someone didn't like Megan Ward/Kate, either some PTB or the network, and suddenly Olivia comes in, begins riding Kate left and right about her life choices and mistakes, Kate's role is slowly phased off the frontburner, and Olivia becomes far more central. I saw it coming miles off. I assumed Guza was all in on Sonny and Kate so maybe it wasn't him pushing it, but he fell out of love with beloved favorites often - Alexis, Nikolas, Jax - so it's not impossible he turned on the character or actress. I forgave it because I've loved LLC since Loving and The City, and I am very fond of Olivia, annoying behaviors and all. But again, she could leave Ned for Johnny, have Lisa come back as Lois with different hair, and I wouldn't care lol.
  2. I remember that one too. They really should've just cast Lisa as Lois, the role is basically the same character down to their being friends in the same neighborhood lol. Oh well.
  3. Oh, I figured that might be it lol. That's pretty classic Brenda tbh.
  4. Really? That's wild. But we don't know about the foyer? Also, do you happen to know which OLTL set got the Collinwood drawing room? I often wonder if one of the '70s-'80s sets i've seen is part of the Old House from DS.
  5. I don't remember that at all. Why on Earth would Brenda go along with that against Ned and Lois?
  6. I could've sworn they were close in the 2000s. It's very sad.
  7. When some of the OLTL, AMC, etc. people go I am going to lose it, no question. I don't even want to think about it.
  8. Is it just me, or is the "Mansion of the Damned" main foyer soundstage the Collinwood foyer from Dark Shadows (also on ABC)? If it's not it's close. This show is honestly the perfect melding of conventional soap storytelling with genre elements that DS never mastered, and it could've, had it tried to adapt to the times and had Dan Curtis been more of a soap EP vs. a classic Hollywood impresario.
  9. Guza moved Jax to Brenda quick upon arrival, lol. I have a very vague memory of Jax's first day with Lois.
  10. KH bore a striking resemblance to my own mother (alive and well) both physically and in personality as well, so I can relate to some of that emotion some of us are feeling.
  11. She improvised the ending there, IIRC. (I don't remember if Marie Masters improv'ed hers.) It's a great scene, but I do have a hard time with Kim saying she doesn't trust any of the Stewart women given her background with the older daughters.
  12. Loath as I am to link Axios, this clip is still instructive for anyone still asking what McConnell believes in: Power, and nothing else.
  13. I liked Mimi (and really liked Gigi, part of the time when I could stand her) but I don't think Farah has any interest in coming back full time, it seems like her poker career or whatever is her life now. And I don't think that character really has an imprint beyond FG's very specific personality, so I wouldn't recast.
  14. I'll be getting back to my Marland binge today for her.
  15. I cannot believe this is all still going and they still haven't retconned Ben being a motherfucking serial killer. Ron must really, really take the response to the OLTL rapemance and Franco personally. It is ludicrous to suggest Sonny's only options are the much older man, the gay villain stereotype and a woman. Come on. If they broke those two up and gave him an actual separate romance, which I doubt knowing DAYS, it will be someone new or it will be a Paul recast.
  16. Well, their next game does have Zach Tinker so there's that!
  17. Curiously, the last frame is a 2022 Zoom call between Kyle, Laura Dern and Lynch. Rumors are always swirling about TP but my assumption was anything substantive that could happen was delayed by the pandemic. There are new and fairly serious rumors that Lynch is debuting a secret film he's made during COVID at Cannes (which may have nothing to do with Twin Peaks). We'll see what occurs in future. @DRW50 From last year, though it may mean nothing of course:
  18. Those look like video game models from Until Dawn.
  19. Kathryn Hays was an incredibly beautiful woman with not only timeless grace, but a blunt candor and authenticity to her work and persona that you couldn't fake. We loved her for a lot of reasons. But to me the enduring mystery is something older. The aura and heart in her work obviously fascinated Irna Phillips, who created the enigma of Kim Sullivan we now constantly struggle to decipher today, given the lack of classic episodes available to us during her inception. Kim was Irna's doppleganger/fantasy self, the unwed woman or mother, a woman who had affairs, was fallen yet still the heroine, something which usually seemed unthinkable for Phillips' seemingly moralistic view of many of her characters. To her, Kim was the 'lady in the mirror.' That's the story I am still eager to know more of. Hays' class, warmth and loving strength onscreen was immortal and I'm glad we got to see her again on the Locher Room before it was too late. I thought she had a lot more years. I guess what she had was just enough. Knowing her, she'd never want us to complain. RIP.
  20. Trina was framed while SM was in the role. And Spencer has been doing dumb shít for Esme for months.
