  1. Not even for that. Britt came to Port Charles as part of her terrorist parents' revenge scheme against the Scorpios. Faison and Obrecht were also in league with Helena re: the Spencers. Per their scheme, her objective was to a) carry Luke and Laura's grandchild to term and steal it and b) take Robin Scorpio's husband away from her. She was really never in love with Patrick or Nikolas, she never wanted a child, she was a pawn in a larger game and she knew it from the start. This aspect of it is often glossed over, because it was never about falling in love or having a child of her own. Britt only caught very weak feelings for any of the men involved after taking the embryo. I still suspect Chris Van Etten seems like the guy who must think we're all into watching Rocco become part of wacky Clan Obrecht. The same delirious glee they seem to take in Britt/Brad still up to bitchy nonsense at their big age. The Rocco madness is so tone-deaf and it has turned off a huge swath of the audience. You'd think by now they'd have seen the feedback and stopped. I suspect those wheels are turning though.
  2. It is wild Jason would flub this, until I remembered he basically has not done much mob wetwork at all since coming back to town, at least as far as I can recall. He just works in that warehouse and embarks on adventures for friends and family. There's action in his life but he has become much more domesticated, and that is a striking realization.
  3. Emma Caulfield also spoke about him fondly on her IG story.
  4. Yeah, I was about to say. There's been much less of those in the post-Ron era, though CVE and O'Connor I think are prone to some of it.
  5. There was no tone? I literally just said I have been doing that before Hudson Williams on Heated Rivalry?? You need to chill.
  6. I don't think even Whedon would do that and then simultaneously mock him as slovenly and overweight in the scripts. Joss was actively negging him over his addiction issues which in turn led to his body issues. The guys at Star Trek Voyager went through the same thing from the writers when they got a little heavier.
  7. It is a hell of an idea (and a great casting choice).
  8. Sad but not remotely surprising. I won't say Xander on BTVS was ever a huge favorite of mine - he could be very funny, but the nastiness and entitlement the character projected towards Buffy and all the female leads grew worse by the year, and the vibe was strange from the beginning. Many years later it was no shock to discover Xander was essentially Joss Whedon's onscreen avatar taking out his own aggressions, even as Brendon's growing addiction and body issues BTS were written into scripts by Whedon to shame the actor. Nicholas Brendon has spiraled into terrible behavior over the last couple decades and was generally always unpleasant to reencounter in the news (allegedly several BTVS actors including David Boreanaz did not want him at a recent high profile reunion), but 54 is still far too young. I'll be grateful for what I liked about his work.
  9. Judith Light (OLTL) is starring in the second season of Apple's inexplicable TV version of Presumed Innocent.
  10. It's the truth, my dude. This common posture choice is not a Heated Rivalry thing lol.
  11. Yes, by the time he saves Marty and the kids they had clearly committed. But I think it was some time before that that they made the call.
  12. Did he? I wasn't aware. I do remember his amazing scene with Bobbie when she confronted him about Carly and he had his sad soliloquy about how he kept the card sharks busy gaming downstairs, stammering about how she always had a place to sleep - 'most nights!' I thought the way they handled the Ruby issue during those Bobbie tribute episodes was very smart. Tracy and Carly talk about her and Carly says that what Ruby did would be considered underage trafficking today. Tracy reminds her that Ruby was a good woman and it was a very different time, and Carly just gently smiles and quietly says something like yes but it's still true. Great work by Laura Wright. She wasn't condemning Ruby but I think that was the best way to approach the issue. Norma Connelly was amazing on the show; I admire her more and more the more of these classic eps I watched, as Ruby was a fading presence by the time I first started watching as a kid. But Ruby, while she may have been a good woman, had a very dark and complex history. Which is something I'd still mine a bit today.
  13. They did, yes. But tbf I thought both the Eve and Alexandra Paul stories were too slow by that point (the AP story was downright dull). They should've amped up Eve's villainy earlier. Of course I haven't watched S7 in decades so maybe it had a bit more build than I remember. I also never forgot that Ryan's little daughter(?), Chea Courtney, went from MP to being the original 'Little Angel Girl' on Passions maybe months later. That tripped me out as a teen.
  14. I hooked my thumbs in my jeans long before Hudson Williams.
  15. It does make me wonder if Sloan was to be more in the heel role when the original endgame for this story was still in place (Clint and Viki reuniting). Sloan was also briefly and very explicitly shown to be on the outside and not loving it not very long after this when Kevin is arrested and Viki and Clint rally to each other's arms, and Clint pledges to stand by her and their son. That felt like a signpost to me. A week or two later Clint Ritchie has his IRL accident and is hastily written out, while during the anniversary a couple months from now in July the kids bond with Sloan via his help during the C.J./Al crisis at Serenity Springs. And Roy Thinnes is informed somewhere in this period that they want to extend his contract another year vs. killing him off.
  16. Thanks! Always fun.
  17. I don't think Britt claiming Faison had four kids is a flub (or one FV would leave in), so I have begun to suspect this is in fact a twin of Nathan. Still infuriates me. And Charlotte is still so creepily obsessed with Valentin and treats Lulu like dirt.
  18. I am not going to fault Alexa yet for the love scene stuff. Her recent interview about getting used to onscreen intimacy again did not give me the Setton vibe, it just seemed like typical soap actor talk about doing love scenes. If I think she's holding back vs. the show cutting corners then I'll say it when the time comes. I couldn't care less about Lulu with Nathan/"Nathan" so the whole issue is a moot point for me.
  19. Yeah, and the Carlivati years (and prior) were far from sexless tbh, nor was Frank's OLTL in general. One could argue the Carlivati years were a bit too horny given the subject matter with Todd/Victor, and Frank and Ron's GH was also pretty hot and heavy. FV's first few weeks on the job here also featured one of the most explicit scenes OLTL or any daytime soap has done in the 21st century (if ever), Troy and Lindsay (Rappaport, not Butler) in bed together with him taking her from behind. I think FV has always been a chameleon changing with the times to survive. I think he believes the current climate and his current audience at GH wants less sex and less envelope-pushing in general. That's why he consistently insinuates that the only online audience they listen to is Facebook, and a certain subset of seniors. Whereas his first 10+ years as an EP were full of sometimes envelope-pushing sex.
  20. I agree that Zhao always seemed an odd fit for the property. I'm only speaking to this random theory that SMG sold her out, which is just not in line with the facts. Sarah was all in on Chloe Zhao. And I haven't found Rocha, what little I know of him, credible for a long time. He's another outrage merchant and Burnett became a RW/contrarian crank years ago. Both Zhao and Buffy are easy targets in the current online clicksphere.
  21. That doesn't even make any sense. SMG has been fiercely and vocally supportive of Zhao from beginning to end on this project. This guy is not credible and neither is Robert Meyer Burnett.
  22. Only on Wednesdays!
  23. It really does give the impression that he was going to be gone gone when they filmed this and they only reached some sort of agreement recently.
  24. Mansion security needs to stay alert. In the dark Brook can easily be mistaken for a) Klan or b) the Zodiac Killer.
  25. She did, and Kimberly tried to electrocute them. I didn't mind the Amanda/Eve story (from the famed KL Peter Dunne team, no less). I minded that it went on too long without kicking into high gear. Eve was clearly off from the start, but they still played her as a heroine and she didn't lose her mind til the very end of the season and we had to watch too much of Peter/Eve together when it was clear Amanda and Peter reuniting was blessedly the endgame. (I do think Kyle's slow disintegration and the collapse of his and Amanda's needless marriage was well done though)
