A bit more. Again, I'm sure the numbers are possibly underestimated in some polls and perhaps overblown in others. But the trends are clear post-debate. In any event, the polls that insist on ties work for us in terms of turnout and focus.

I think with Hillary it may have been more about Frons. FV has not hesitated to bring HBS back to GH often.

I just thought it was a classy thing for them to do given her medical status, but I assume it has to do with the length of the story (like putting Wagger on contract).

Oh, now this is wild. I remember Stephanie Williams taking over as Sheila on OLTL! It was never the same, Valarie was so good in the role. I feel bad for SW. This seems weirdly punitive lol.

Early on they leaned hard into Dillon and Georgie as their hot young couple when they realized what they had. I think it was Michael Conforti who was credited for doing a lot of their early stuff. But Lindze was always an afterthought for that regime - they fell in love with SC and started pairing Dillon up with Luke, then trying him with every young girl under the sun. Then Kirsten and Julie came in. They never committed to LL the way they should've. I'd bring Georgie back (along with Emily) if I could even just for a day, to say Felicia's daughter is alive. I don't care if Lindze is retired lol. She still looks good and always does well whenever they have her pop up for special occasions as a ghost. She comes in, does a few days, goes off to a happy life! You can recast someday.

Contrary to right-wing panicked spin over these polls, Quinnipiac was pretty good in '22. And sure, all pollsters vary. But we all know Gallup's biases going back many years. So if we want to pick and choose it become choose your own adventure depending on what any of us prefer to believe. The fact remains, most reputable polls (including Q) have Harris up 3-6 in these states. If she takes them it's over.

Agreed (though I do think Lindze looked exactly like one, she just wasn't JMB/Kirsten and she wasn't a size zero). They wanted Lulu to be the young star and they wanted their preferred males with the star. Same reason they had Luke artificially latch on to Dillon, Lulu latch on to Carly, etc. When they liked someone new they made sure the top characters became their BFFs. I do think Julie had chemistry with Josh Duhon but that didn't end well lol. She was very talented but romance was never her forte AFAIC. The attitude they had Lulu putting forth onscreen was a key issue. GH's old writing team (MVJ, etc.) has long claimed Guza was not to blame for Georgie. I'm not sure I buy it.

I've never cared about Wagger and never will but it's clear his big speech about Sonny right after Mulcahey arrived (and the overall push against the character in those months) really pissed the surviving creatives at the show off. Wagger was a useful means to an end for me, nothing more. Now they're all acting like he was Pol Pot with CMT hair. Not looking fwd to Laura's inevitable 180 on Sonny (which Anna has already done, sadly). That and the shift in how they handle Tracy (who PM clearly adored) back to all the 'nice' characters taking cheap shots at her is tiresome. And now of course because the numbers are up again Frank and his team will never leave. Sigh. They only tried her with him because they were fascinated with her (pulling him away from Georgie even that pairing was popular). At one point every dude under 30 on the show was in love with her. I'm not convinced Jane is going anywhere any time soon. Retirement did not seem to agree with her. I think with a good writing team in place SC and Jane together again would be wonderful. But that's not happening and he's never leaving the golden parachute at B&B.

Watkins was classic Frank. So bland. And don't get me started on his 'music career'. Yes, SC will never hop off the B&B money train like so many others in front of or behind the camera (unless they retire or get their own show, like MVJ/PM) but it's a nice thought. Of course it would require him to be used well, vs. what Frank has done with Rena, Eva LaRue, etc. just to say they're on the show. My idea presupposes a different regime lol.

She did very well, I think. Considerably better than that local interview on Philly TV a few days ago, which was a bit too both woolly and rambling yet too fixed around talking points for my liking. Then Eugene Daniels (one of the male interviewers on the NABJ panel and current heads of Politico) went on MSNBC to complain that she stayed on message too much. But I think this panel has overall been received well; Daniels is just so wedded to being part of the gotcha question industry trying to ding her anywhere they can. Those guys (particularly Alex Thompson and Max Tani) are starving for drama with the Dems now that Joe is out of the race.
