  1. Yes, between December 1988 (Brenda’s arrival) and September 1989 (Terry’s departure). And their chemistry was quite strong. She held her own against Terry just as well as Eileen did.
  2. 😳 that’s just creepy AF.
  3. @FrenchFan thank you sooo much for the 1982 synopsis. Definitely fills in a LOT of blanks. I love how there was that triangle between Jack/Patty/Danny. I don’t know why they didn’t keep the Jack/Danny rivalry going in later years though...
  4. It’s funny reading all these old synopses of soaps and seeing all these characters you’ve never heard of and how they interacted with the main cast. Particularly funny (and also mind-blowing for me) was the Natalie Bannon character on As The World Turns and reading about her machinations with Tom - and then finding out completely by accident that she was played by none other than Judith Chapman (her first soap role in fact). Have you guys ever had those WTF moments similar to this where you find out that such and such a well-known soap actor played a particular old role?
  5. That was actually an enlightening video. Reminded me of this clip of PSM vs Heather Locklear in the early years...
  6. I know she is not well, but I had to stifle a few chuckles listening to that. Holy geeeez...
  7. The clips that keep popping up on Youtube. This clip is a snippet of the phenomenal Angela Bassett’s brief run on Search For Tomorrow from early 1985 (which is hardly documented anywhere).
  8. This was one I stumbled on as a result of watching the above interview. Another one she did with Dick Cavett when she was much younger.
  9. I watched this last night just before I went to sleep. Honestly, his words were what I needed to hear during this tough time. I’ve been having massive emotional struggles myself, and his talking about “being kind to yourself” and “perfecting the mask of being in public”... just some of the stuff that resonated with me. Bravo to this man for being so open and honest about his journey. I do hope he finds more peace as time goes on - I still think there was lots of dodgy business over his election loss to DeSantis, but all we can do for now is find a way through this current time.
  10. Sorry but every time I see Brenda Dickson nowadays I wonder “what would Deven Green say here?”
  11. Please please please look after yourself, and I hope it’s not the you-know-what. We’re all behind you ❤️
  12. Heheheh...
  13. ^^ No, the facial structure doesn’t quite fit to me, even taking into account how she looked when she was younger. I could be mistaken though...
  14. Awww that is the cutest! For someone my age (40), it’s weird visualising Peter Simon and Morgan Fairchild as a relatively short-term on-screen couple.
  15. Ooooh was that the very first time Erica met Mike Roy?
  16. There are “progressives” who think Tucker Carlson is a hero?
  17. Are the ladies seedings based on WTA ranking? If not, it’s pretty crappy that they’re changing for men but not for women 🤨
  18. Thought of you when I saw this @I Am A Swede
  19. Oh god that poor boy. It almost hits close to home, as I am someone on the autism spectrum and have experienced similar struggles to him, although nowhere near the severity of what he did. There is still such a stigma within wider society around neurodiversity, even though big strides have been made over the last 10 years or so. We still have a long way to go though...
  20. Well hello there Mike 😍
  21. Thank you very much for that. Yes I can imagine in those circumstances it would have been a significant year in US history.
  22. Simplistic and yet so poignant. Yes, if there is anything that the world needs now, it is certainly hope. Forgive me for not knowing this (as I’m not from the US), but what was the significance of 1952 that Jo was talking about in her monologue at the end? Did something major happen that year?
  23. Quel f***in surprise 😏
