  1. The show puts in too much meta commentary that makes it cringy. Abby is all "as both a NEWMAN, and an ABBOTT, blah blah blah. I represent the two EPIC families of GENOA CITY!" Victor and Nikki: "This is going to be a BIG NIGHT, it's going to be great until it all FALLS APART like so dramatic. This is a MASQUERADE BALL, get it, everyone is wearing MASKS, like that Masquerade Ball from when the show was GOOD, which makes this episode GOOD." But enough complaining, it hasn't been too bad this week.
  2. In the great tradition of Katherine Chancellor Park and the Cassie Newman Patio.
  3. Is it the same ravine as Ashland crashed on? Why can't "Victor's men" crack the case? 😆
  4. I know the man on the left is VR's date (husband?) from the red carpet video, but who is the old man in the back?
  5. Like James and Taylor in the earthquake on B&B... when you're stuck somewhere, often in a life or death situation, and give in just once. Jack and Jill in the 80s is a Y&R example but Y&R doesn't do it tons. I can't really envision an exciting enough situation on current Y&R haha. Maybe Nate and Victoria will do it in an elevator at Newman LOL.
  6. Anytime Griffith or his writers have questions about whether a plot contradicts something that occurred in the past — which happens a lot on a show that has been on the air since Richard Nixon was president — they consult the continuity department, who can tell them, for example, if the death of Diane Jenkins could possibly have been staged. (Turns out, it could; she returned to the show last year, a decade after her presumed death). LOL!
  7. Right on time for the anniversary! King! 🤩
  8. I mean as long as they haven't left any watermarks in the images this time...
  9. They played it on the Nanny many times. There was a whole episode on it.
  10. Somebody could probably make a montage of Devon being walked in on while cheating. Didn't Neil walk in on him and Hillary when he was blind?
  11. https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/F9prV9Ss3G35AwX8RUGuzdIu5YmBy1b4/ Elizabeth Hendrckson remembers Kevin and Chloe on New Year's Eve.
  12. Thank you for explaining the additional context. That does help explain her immediate reaction to the clip. I remember that. I mentioned it in the other thread. She was making fun of how the scene was directed.
  13. She does sound dismissive. She starts out cackling that they shouldn't show a clip (admittedly a dumb storyline) then talking about how she was making more money doing whatever remote job she had out of college which is kind of implying that career soap actors are losers. All they said is you started on a soap and the only thing she could think to say is she had another job and was so embarrassed they would find out she was a dumb soap actress. His reaction is vintage EB but his interpretation of this as denigrating the genre is spot on IMO.
  14. I remember Eva on a talk show making fun of the director for the scene when she tried to down Cricket, how he kept telling her to make sure the knife catches the light, or something. As if it was so stupid that a soap would try to stage something artistically. I never ever understand how people try to validate soaps with the fact that so many famous actors got their starts there. I honestly don't think most of them are any more talented than the actors who have been on soaps for decades. I mean I don't think anyone would rate Tom Selleck, David Hassellhoff, Eva Longoria, or Shemar Moore as the greatest actors to have ever been on Y&R. They were in the right place at the right time, got on the right series, good for them, but they aren't all that impressive. I don't think Demi Moore or John Stamos hold a candle to most of the GH cast either.
  15. And Tracey Bregman! Yikes. Thank you @janea4old
  16. She looks beautiful but what a fugly dress!
  17. Graz picks the smoothie scene: https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/g_hQMB5luWmP1zBgBJQWyE2YHF_IyX2l/
  18. We do have one! See link https://twitter.com/YRVault The announcement was made in the thread about vault updates, didn't think of posting here. The B&B vault is ready for uploads. We're only waiting on Y&R now.
  19. Sooo... he doesn't plan storylines typically. Those aren't storylines, lol.
  20. Bigger version of the previous photo. So I guess that's not Lorie and these are probably extras haha.
