  1. Some wikis with info about the houses used on B&B. Not sure if any of the Bell properties were used on Y&R. https://theboldandthebeautiful.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Locations https://modanasukces.fandom.com/pl/wiki/Kategoria:Posiadłości
  2. I don't even remember the Travis story at all, heh.
  3. Mal mentions humor a lot, but I don't remember much of it then, and I definitely don't see what he sees in Billy and Phyllis, especially as portrayed by Jason Thompson and Gina Tognoni.
  4. Have you all seen this channel that's uploading lots of vintage ATWT? They're currently doing 1979 episodes. Many of the episodes are consecutive! https://www.youtube.com/@ohhdonna216/videos
  5. Fenmore Baldwin on Y&R (if only for one episode 🙃).
  6. I've been thinking about it too and I wonder if soaps will be given as much grace as in the past. Movies can pause production. Primetime shows can push back the season start. Talk shows and comedy shows can show reruns. Those are all not ideal, but they can be done if production must stop. It was always different for daytime, because daytime dramas were pretty much the one type of program that HAD to have new content every single day without reruns. Particularly with the strike in 2008, there were very real concerns that if the soaps shut down, there wouldn't BE a show for the striking writers to come back to. There was perhaps an understanding that although being a scab was controversial, someone had to take one for the team and do it because the shows had to run. The genre loves to complain that a couple of preemptions for OJ's trial killed it off (which I think is BS, but is a commonly accepted argument/excuse), so shutting down production for months would be fatal. Now due to COVID, it actually happened. The four soaps had to stop production and three of them went into reruns because they didn't have enough in the can. And they all survived. I have not taken a good look at the ratings to see how they bounced back, but they did stabilize after reruns stopped. I thought for sure we'd lose a soap to COVID. Days got pushed to streaming but it's the only show that had new material the whole time! It's shown that it's possible to temporarily go to reruns and come back. The reruns temporarily hurt the bottom line (which, in the case of a strike you want, to put pressure on the negotiation), but the shows survived. It seems to be that in this case there is an argument that letting the soaps stop production would hurt the networks and production companies for a while, bolster the argument for the writers, but not completely kill off the genre, and that's a stronger argument for not scabbing.
  7. Kevin Fisher... the pervert who did mobster Bobby Marsino's books. Nikki Reed - Town skank who gave Paul VD. Or vice versa.
  8. A story from W with more details. Does anyone else remember Sabrina taking Victor to those Jeff Koons exhibits back in 2008? Haha. https://www.wmagazine.com/life/beyonce-jay-z-malibu-california-house-tadao-ando Beyoncé’s new home was originally commissioned by modern art power-collectors Bill and Maria Bell (Bill is the son of the creators of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful). It took 15 years to complete, and its construction required 7,645 cubic yards of concrete just for the home alone (that doesn’t even include the driveway). The couple also once lent the home out to artist Alex Israel for a post-apocalyptic photoshoot starring a chimpanzee named Eli. The home was specifically designed to double as a showcase for the Bells’ impressive art collection. Bey and Jay may have been attracted to it for similar reasons. The family’s private art collection is said to include works by masters like Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Richard Prince, David Hammons, and Jean-Michel Basquiat alongside younger, up-and-coming artists (incidentally, the Bells, too, own more than a few Warhols and Hirsts, but are also amongst the biggest collectors of works by Jeff Koons).
  9. I think that one is Brooke's house? https://www.redfin.com/CA/Los-Angeles/10539-Bellagio-Rd-90077/home/6827069
  10. That's the one LeBron James bought from Bill & Lee Phillip Bell for a paltry 37 million. https://www.latimes.com/business/real-estate/gallery/hot-property-lebron-james-buys-soap-opera-creators-beverly-hills-compound
  11. Interestingly, TMZ only refers to William Bell as " William Bell, one of the biggest art collectors in the world" with no mention of the soap legacy. https://www.tmz.com/2023/05/19/jay-z-beyonce-home-purchase-malibu-record-breaking-mansion/
  12. Some highlights: He originally auditoned for the role of Matt Reardon, but they called him back in, no audition, to play a young businessman. They didn't tell him he would be playing a rapist and he thinks that's because they didn't want him to play it a certain way. He had seen a clip of Rick Hearst and wanted to work with him so he was excited that Brent was involved in Alan-Michael's story. They remained friendly for years. He watched Rick and Sonia's interviews with Locher and enjoyed reliving those memories. It took 3 hours to do the Marian makeup. At first, he also wore a corset/girdle, but that was done away with quickly. The Italian voice actor joins the chat and they play Frank a clip of his work. Frank thinks he did a better job with the female voice than he (Frank) did. He is asked why he was replaced by another actor. He calls it a nervous breakdown but it's not exactly as it has been explained. He was working really hard and could no longer function on set. He was having difficulty in his personal relationships, and having a crisis of faith. It was a deeply spitual thing for him. The producers were good about it, and actually asked him to sign on for another year. The storyline would have followed him to the mental hospital where he would have worked with the actress who plays Abigail Blume (Amy Ecklund but I think he refers to her by a maiden name). I'm not sure if he means the character, or the actress in a different role. This would have led to a friendship and possibly a relationship. He just felt the he couldn't take on the work at that time but that's a big regret because he was friends with the actress and would have loved to work with her. He doesn't see how Brent could have been rehabilitated, though. They asked if he was ever asked back again after that... he was not. He never had any additional contact with production, and there were times when he would have considered it, but basically he was off, in his words, being a hippie and practicing Buddhism.
  13. A rare Frank Beaty interview with the Italian fan channel:
  14. That's a very funny anecdote about the heart attack. I'd love to know if Jack kicking Victor's hand was in the script. I bet it was. PB was implying on the 50th Special that he came up with it on his own, but I'm certain it was Bell. The cage storyline still feels so off brand to me. I thought the switch to Nikki made it more interesting. Edward gave off "incel" vibes before that was a thing. The recaps had him going to watch her strip, being revulsed but turned on. At one point I think he enters their house and cuts up Nikki's stripping costumes. In the end, he wanted to make her pure. Welcome! I have been enjoying them. The early 1988 clips include the infamous "Cricket selling kisses" scene, haha. Those two always provided light fun to balance out the drama. I was watching the 1988 ones and honestly, I thought LLB's acting was pretty decent during the Jessica scenes.
  15. Thats the house Mariah and Tessa are living in (but we haven't actually seen them there).
  16. At least they are trying to up their ante. I think these posts would go better in the spoiler section, personally.
  17. In Stafford's mind controversial could mean people actually calling Phyllis out on her bs, haha. But I'm keeping an open mind. The show has been solid.
  18. Dancing with the Stars is coming back to TV, so there's hope. I imagine the demographic is similar. Now there's an unexpected plot twist!
  19. @AMCHistoryno, they didn't mention whether JT is with Mac. The scene is very brief. He looks bulked up with longer hair and kind of does look like he's been in jail and lived hard. He said he would be willing to do the podcast because Elena let him think Victoria signed off, but refuses to come to GC. I am not caught up but I have to say I really liked the scene the other day when Sharon and Mariah talked about how it's akward when people ask them how many children they have.
  20. I love the scene where Nikki is drunkenly babbling about the time Victor put her makeup on. I hate it when they make up fake stories about the past and it was nice to refer to a real one. Also enjoyed the scene when Victor walks in as Heather and Adam are about to do it on his couch! Thank you, to whoever uploaded those! Very rare scenes. Lauren reuniting with her baby! I have moved them to the 1990s folder - I think 1990s1 is a mistake and supposed to be deleted but leaving that to @ChickenNuggetz92 in case he has ways to make sure there's nothing in there that we need. Early 1986 German episodes are also being uploaded and there's another guest contributor/angel posting clips of Cricket & Danny in the 80s and 90s clips. Great to have new stuff!
  21. Thanks! Love that episode of Diagnosis Murder. That period of 2008 was solid. I loved those scenes of Nikki and Victor in Mexico. I uploaded 8/28. Not sure why it wasn't there in the first place.
  22. For me, it plays for 20 minutes but there is no sound after 13 minutes. However, in the December 1994 folder we have this episode from Cala Classics. I have the same problem. We don't seem to have this version from Cala or anywhere else, so if it can be fixed by the angel, that would be appreciated.
