  1. Whhhhatttt!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Random thought...I forgot to mention Andre and these white pants...Mmmm
  3. Well I didn't mean it that way! lol. I mean in the CURRENT crop of HW shows. It's part of the reason that it really stood out for me. Partly because it was soooo well done that it took half of the episode for it to clip that they were the only ones there. That's a strength to the franchise. And another reason why RHOM is the best because it is giving OLD Housewives like you mentioned. And a whole other country just felt like a classy flex. Which I loved. Most of the current HW shows could try it and it would flop. You know what? I honestly don't know. lol. Another thing that RHOM is good at is that I know very little of the season (same for SLC recently filmed season and OC's recently filmed season) so I didn't know they fell out though I can see why with Larsa gunning for Lisa's man and we know how Lisa is about her man. I think the only thing I know about this season actually is Nicole making cameos and the rumor about Julia and the glass throw...which I believe we will get the truth of next week.
  4. And that would have worked Evvvvven better if right when Lily has been won over by the power and charm of Damian...she finds out that Cane works at Dumas. Damian...before when he was the head...was very plans within plans so Lily would wonder if he knew of her all along which could be a realistic plot since Lily was just coming off of that whole mess with Billy, Victor, and Nikki. If JG had to use BF as Cane at all. And for the record...I DO NOT want Cane with Giggly Heffa. But I don't want her with Nick, either tbf. I can see that. It is also when the writing really started to fall off the rails for the most part. And if I remember from that time, I said that it felt like JG saw what a success he had with the Damian storyline and how it was the only storyline moving (and had NO Newmans/Abbotts in it) so he HAD to think of something to keep the Newmans in focus. And we already know that JG loves the Abbotts though his ideas had slowly gotten lackluster since the Ashley's Alters storyline...though I did like Victor/Jack latest round. I feel that. I also feel my offramp coming up.
  5. It makes one wonder.
  6. 6-16 Yeah that cliffhanger still holds up. And I suspect now that the focus is on an A story with storylines around it, it should flow nicely. I'm happy that FINALLY the one A story (next to Dani/Bill/Hayley and the SilkPress storyline) that has not gotten its time in the main story sun aka Martin's Secret looks like it will be the focus. And so far...YES. Now that the mystery man has come out of the shadows (pun intended), that there appears to be even more movement. Last week was doing a good job of it. And this looked like more of the same. I do feel that like the rest of you that I'm a little let down that it appeared to happen two years ago. It makes more questions for me and the timeline than I would like. Especially given the much better timeline for all the things with Ted/Nicole, Eva/Kat, and Silk Press Sheila. Their timeline so far makes sense for where the story might be going. But this with Martin...uhhhh. Of course, there's the question of what Martin knows and why the man appears different, but I do love that we are getting nuggets of info. Again FINALLY. And the gaslighting was masterful this episode. Interesting. And by interesting, I mean that Naomi/Andre scene. I mentioned that I've been loving the Andre/Dani relationship and watching it grow. And now they are dealing with internal conflict. Along with the mix of drama with their other interests ie. Bill, Ashley. I don't think anyone is here for Andre/Ashley. But outside of being her friend, Andre has not really shown interest in her since the start of the show for me. So I thought it was interesting Naomi pointed out that Andre seem a little toooo interested in not seeing Ashley and Derek together. And Andre...sadly acted like it. A big uh oh. In the minority, but I've enjoyed the B story of Doug/Vanessa/Joey and how it has built since Month 1. It has grown. I feel we have everyone's POV. And there are some stakes or potential for messiness at least. And this episode of Vanessa vs Joey. Vanessa came across like a boss bitca one moment and there she went sleeping with Joey again. I stay with how the characters stay not being completely black and white. Meanwhile, oh look! We are circling back to the Crooked Cop storyline. Smitty in reporter mode has been enjoyable to watch. And just watching his style. No wonder he was such a great reporter. But oops at him seeing the connection between Marcel and Joey. And oops again at Marcel's comment about glass houses...hinting he know more himself. This is getting juicy. I enjoyed the C plots this episode. I enjoyed Derek reading Ashley. I can't believe he had it in him. I can't believe he has me on his side. But Ashley has been nothing but neurotic as of late. And I enjoyed Chels and Madison's little date. We don't really get too much of those on soaps anymore. And wow at a love scene. Good start to the week.
  7. 6-20 I went ahead and watched. Honestly, I'm surprised how much I liked the episode. It flowed. The decor was nice. It was nice to see people. Camera angles (shoutout to Nikki/Victor in the boxcar). Dramatic music. The clothes (I think my favorites were Amanda, Damian, Nick, Nikki). And the only problem I might say is the coda...and the reveal itself of course. First...the good. I'm a sucker for a female henchwoman and Amanda has been that for Dumas to the hilt. I love watching her. And MM is doing great. I like how she can gather Giggly Heffa, too. I liked the interplay with all the characters. I like the idea of Damian getting a feel from everybody as well since it was looooong overdue. Damian and Victor together was a moment. Damian trying to figure out Nick and Sharon was a hoot. And we know I like Damian with Lily. I liked the reveal was done in the middle of the episode. And the director did such a great job with that. I even like the Mattie/Charlie reference because while they were aged up too soon, I did like them (Mattie/Reed fan forever here). But the bad... First...Dumas is Cane. DUMAS IS CANE??? Yeeeeeah nope. Not only is he de-aged, but he makes Damian redundant. And that was too apparent to me watching the scenes of Damian mingling with the Genoa City's elite. Because I kept thinking he should have done this ages ago. And how it could have worked if Damian was still head of Dumas and he wanted to flaunt what he got...perhaps with some story bombshells on the characters he was interacting with this episode. That he had been in Genoa City to get a feel (well his newest cover story) and he did not expect to be enchanted with Lily. That was all already set up before this 'Damian is just a figurehead for Dumas' plot twist that was unnecessary. Now it just seems like everything that this dynamic new character had has been snatched away. His business. His potential as a new (and refreshing different) character. And now even his potential leading lady...because I don't think we are going to get a Cane/Lily/Damian triangle. The Damian storyline was the best story Y&R had last year because it started so small and it build. And those twist were something else, fresh, and showed (in spite of the haphazard writing going on) that there was a solid direction and JG might be able to write still. Silly me. I should have focused on the word 'might.' In any case...I hated the Dumas storyline since the 'Damian is a figurehead for Dumas' twist. And this just confirms it for me. No offense to BF who I liked as Chad on DAYS. And I think the potential in chemistry with CK is there. But I'm not feeling it. And more than likely it felt like they were setting up the potential for a Lily/Cane/Giggly Heffa triangle (instead of a Cane/Lily/Damian one which would STILL sadly make sense) and I'm not here for that though I have loved over the last few months that Lily/Phyllis adversarial chemistry matches Dru/Phyllis's old magic now. Second of all...the scattered appearances of guest for this reveal. I just don't get it and now So they can't even do a gradual reveal given how long it took to get to this point? So let's go with rushed. No, thanks. Synopsis for next week MIGHT make me soldier through next week, but I'm more or less done cuz I'm not here for the albatross again.
  8. But again it should be noted...well AGAIN...that we have not gotten to the episodes that were filmed once the show got to see all the feedback from the public collective so can we truly pick on the 'well are they listening?' discussion when we don't know for sure that they have not listened to what people here and online are saying about the show when we haven't even gotten to those shows yet? It was part of the reason I semi-regularly forget and ask if we are there yet. And I have been reminded that should be around end of summer/fall? At least it's not like DAYS where you had to wait a decade a year before there were adjustments. I know I'm not going to be able to unsee that now that I'm going to start my rewatch. lol.
  9. I haven't had a problem with Chad either. If anything has worked against him, it's been the writing. But he has been checked out for a while also...and that was made obvious every time Robert Adamson subbed in. He really has so far. He seems to have chemistry with EVERYONE. I'm kinda wanting a relationship with him and Sasha *runs* Same. I'm worried about where the writing will go long-term for Rory's version of Michael because so far his Michael (from where I'm viewing) gives the darker Michael I've wanted to see. And I like he has softer moments as well. And Rory is balancing that very well. And of course, I thought he was hot on Y&R so this is the case where Frank someone and I have taste enough to use it. Which reminds...I am happy I'm back in time for Pool Set Season. 😜
  10. 6-16 A solid start to the week. I know of Nick. I wasn't a regular viewer or paid too much attention to B&B back then. But I liked the chemistry already between him and Brooke. And how well-timed after another Ridge rejection. And Brooke in her undies was just an adorable meet-cute. lol. AND a montage? *swoons* I can't wait for more. I also really appreciated the update on his life. I know of Massimo and Marone Industries. So good to see where the business is at. It was REALLY good to hear about how Jack is doing. I know of him. And I know you all discuss him from time to time. So we now have an update. Wow. JMW is showing. That said...lord...we are going to write Luna back into the corner even though she's a great actress. smh. Oh, shut up, Taylee!! Eric has a right to have his feelings. And Ridge can say all he wants, but we know he's going to feel a way when he sees Nick is in town.
  11. Well we know I'm willing to eat crow if I'm wrong (GH and May, I'm looking at you!) so I guess we will see. Let the games begin.
  12. Just to be sure @Chris B you know the new season of RHOM started?
  13. That's another reasob to like it because there are so many povs. However, Lulu need to keep it real and admit she just really wanted to stick it to BLQ cuz she's still stuck in the past. The fact that so many people ((Dante, Cody I believe, Maxie) pointed out (pre-her finding out about a kid) this fact, I already knew what was probably going to happen with her finding out. So she doesn't get a pass from me. Which is a sign of a great recast.
  14. 6-16 Well, I'll give it this much. I do like the design of the train car. It was giving. Or perhaps it is the fact that it's a new set. But no amount of Nick sitting spread eagle is going to make me like how the scenes were giving nothing but story stalling. Adam and Chelesa = FF. Now what I actually watched the episode for...Nate vs Holden. That was pretty good. Holden trying to turn the screws on Nate was good. Nate held his own and gave good advice. Because Holden...again...is a little too obsessed. It's just sad that he's right about Audra. That said...I love that little smirk he had at the end. 6-16 Well, I'll give it this much. 15. And since I'm basically in June... I said that I would more or less come back around for event or plot points. And I was actually for the Nurse Ball this year. A nice bit of nostalgia. And it seem like it was going to do what good events do...reveals. And for me, I felt that it did both well. I admit to being shocked. I liked a lot of the performances overall which it had been a minute since I've had. Great cliffhangers. And the reveals... Curtis finding out that Portia was being blackmailed. Honestly, I was shocked to come back to find Drew has completely completed his turn into an obsessive bad guy...more so than Sidwell who had thankfully fallen into the background which I found odd since he was paying for the Nurses Ball this year...and had so many fingers in people's pie. CM plays a prick oh so well and while not Stefano Dimera, he is weaving his Congressman power something wicked. It was a great move to move Drew into villain. And even where I've viewing, Curtis and Portia still have not recovered. I didn't like the idea of BLQ and Dante having a son named Gio, but the reveal was most definitely soapy AF. And the fallout has been superb. I knew it would be Lulu's fault when I stopped regularly viewing, so it felt good to be right when I was proven right. And that Lulu is still running around acting like she did it 'for Dante!' GIRL, BYE. I said when this story started that she did it because she was still stuck in the past where BLQ was a bad girl that she disliked. The only difference being...BLQ had grown in the four years that Lulu was in a coma. I would love if the New/Old Writers would dive into that more as the rational, but that would require nuances which I know they don't do and part of the reason I quit watching. That said...watching the beats...from Gio lashing out and only having Emma (a cute couple that has grown nicely since I watched last) was well done. BLQ vs Lois. Ned vs Lois. Lois's mother appearing. Dante vs BLQ vs Lois! It has been a free-for-all. Very enjoyable. And highlight (and brought me to tears honestly) was when Tracy found out and comforted Gio...such an excellent scene. See what happens when Tracy gets nuances...perfection. I definitely feel the beats being played and they are exploring that fallout nicely. And then...NuMichael. I always felt Rory Gibson had potential on Y&R as Noah, but JG never used it. But he's been a breath of fresh air (and bods ) on this show. And he came in and laid his claim on the kids. He already has chemistry with EVERYONE and a nice vibe with Sasha, too. I've still hating on Willow and Drew. And I can't wait for their fall...and the Drew murder mystery. I haven't gotten into the full court episodes yet, but they have been good...and I see it has been revealed that Michael and Sasha slept together and had a baby. Steve Burton must be sighing in relief to be out of that silly storyline the writers tried with him and Sasha. But all good doesn't mean there is not bad. We know I'm not here for an episode of ALIAS Super Agent Joss where Emma should be. And I wasn't around for whatever this plot is, but I do respect that Emma is somehow connected to it though. That oddly feels right. And apparently a Joss/Emma rivalry. And while Lucky was not my ideal mate for Liz, that did not mean that I did not like them. I felt then and do now that his return was fumbled from go. And no amount of excuses real or not, is going to excuse that for me. Because any bit could have been resolved in the writing. But I'm still annoyed that 1) Lucky was kept out of town a la Brenda's 2011 return before he made it and when he got there, he missed HIS OWN MOTHER 2) Lucky was reduced to a bartender which has potential if written for but it was not 3) any story given to him (his son, Cyrus, anything with Liz) was reduced to paint-by-numbers when he's a LEGACY CHARACTER connected to EVERYONE. So coming back to see not only was he not at the Nurses Ball, but neither was LIZ. And she was not even with scenes with him? And Liz's no-reaction to him telling her that Kristina was responsible for her accident felt not only out of character, but foul. And the marriage proposal was too rushed. And that writing was a mess. Don't tell me he is about to leave town without seeing HIS OWN MOTHER? No...I am not wanting to be spoiled. I can't help...given past history...this was intentional. And given that I was looking forward to the majority of Laura's kids being in town for the first time in YEARS...something I've been wishing and hoping for...yes, I am bitter. That said...I do like that GH has had a nice BounceBack. Outside of BTG, I actually do find myself looking forward to it again. Not sure how I will feel once I get to Lucky's last episode (though I loved peeking ahead to the BLQ slap that I rewinded and Friday's eye candy galore), but case by case...something I'm currently doing with Y&R.
  16. I would have preferred that greatly. And then Lily could be in a triangle with him AND Damian. Or just have Lily with Damian who should have STAYED Head of Dumas still. Such an unnecessary plot twist to bring back a character who was an albatross to this show for too long while wasting another refreshing new character with potential.
  17. I remember her being able to hold her own with Sonny though. lol. But I did love the actress from AW. LMAO!!! Stop! Very rare. I mean outside of this ADA and the DOA Natalia...is this the longest Sonny has been single really? Was his serious last one Nina? Cuz it is...odd? I agree that it would be juicy if Nina and him would get back together while the Drew secret is still not out.
  18. I admit that sent me just as much as Joey letting Vanessa see him with the chief of police given his reputation. Cuz how deep does this secret go that Joey...who they all know has a reputation...is in the room with them? Now that I typed that...was HE who Vernon was on the phone with as the Friday cliffhanger because I will fall out. I agree. And feel they have not gotten to the place that soaps get to when they are out of ideas and are making it up as they go along. Just look at the amount of times when a plot thread gets cold or a character has been absent for a minute, they (and plot) have always circled back. Example currently: all that stuff with Jacob and Marcel from Month 2 is noooow circling back and also showing how great Smitty is at this job...not realizing he's TOO good because it's now circling back as well to A Story from Week 1...his own husband's secrets. And to go deeper...this all started because Smitty mind you was feeling unfulfilled and wanted to go back to work and Martin was against it because he wanted to keep Smitty at home. So if this all came out because Martin gave in, imagine the fallout for those two and the kids. And Martin has already been established as a hothead as well as arrogant 'I am always right'ish?
  19. Tbf outlets mentioned there was a possibility she would be back. So...yay!
  20. I agree. From appearing like an irrelevant plot point or C plot to a connecting plot thread and VERY important. I cheered when we got the flashback during the Smitty and Jacob scene. Such a BOOM moment as the plots converged on each other. Same. I cannot wait to see how Ted is tied into all of this. Moreso now that it seems he might actually fight for his marriage with Nicole. But stakes were raised. Well, if Friday proved anything, it does seem like it will all tie together. At least in the room meeting of all the men.
  21. Very. Some of those camera angles gave powerful man. And power can be attractive.
  22. Who was perfect in that role and sad she did not continue. But hey...I understand. I saw that and hollered. I haven't seen anyone mention a Brendabot in a good minute. I'm surprised honestly they haven't tried to re-pair Sonny with Nina honestly. As soon as PM was out the door, they all of a sudden had scenes again So I wondered.
  23. *Kay Chancellor*Dear God in Heaven*Kay Chancellor*
  24. I didn't even think about that. And that line of dialogue Kenny had about how he looked a little different now makes sense. Well, tbf, it feels intentional as the full picture has not been revealed YET and more than likely (like most of the questions that pop up here to be answered the next day or a few weeks later on the show) will be answered for you next week when they are all in the same room per Next Week's promo at the end of Friday's show. I mean when he's standing around with bass in his voice and giving off Papa Pope vibes...I mean... 😜
