  1. Running in late and a bit out of order cuz yesterday was a mess but since I'm here... So far I am liking that there are a lot of hotties and bubbles on display. lol. A lot of plot is moving and/or being touched on. Right down to ANOTHER of Vanessa's many men. He was cute and bubbled, too. So far, I'm not feeling SilkPress vs NuTed.
  2. @Paul Raven thank you. I knew you would have the skinny on sets. So probably more to come. As for recast Ted, I saw him briefly because it's been a busy day, but what little I saw of him...I didn't dislike him as much as I thought I would. Keith felt like Maurice's Ted in a lot of mannerisms and way he had with some things/words. Definitely a different presence from Maurice's Ted, but I still feel like Keith WAS Ted. If that makes sense. Maruice's Ted definitely had a different charisma to him. From the brief scene I saw. Will probably watch later when I get more time. Sounds like it was a great episode from the parts I've glanced on here earlier. Speak on it.
  3. I don't think we have. I suspect @Paul Raven could confirm it for sure. ETA: off the top of my head, I counted 13 sets (counting the hotel room Doug/Vanessa made up in separate from the hotel room Ted is in unless it was refashioned).
  4. I believe they did.
  5. Same. And you know I've been trying my best with Y&R and how I feel about GH. 😜 Also same. Amen. And not alone in that minority. I'm still wondering if that was a good drop off point for him all day. In a way...it truly is given what Ted and Eva's arc has been so far. But I will miss Maurice all the same.
  6. 'You mean...THAT Eva.' hahahahaha. From the mouth of babes. Lord...don't tell me this is going to be a near-miss on Andre/Dani. And now...I have to watch the rest later. lol.
  7. Now what was I just talking about? lol. I was not expecting to see Jacob today. VERNON!!!!!!! LOL.
  8. No Tea. No Shade. Just facts. Oooo...Kat vs Eva...the gift that keeps on giving. I can't believe we are getting friction between Andre and Nicole. That said...loving these scenes.
  9. Annnnd it's time!!! Oooo more developing of the Anita story. Bill and these hand moments. OOOOOOOOO...it's a Jazmen episode!!! So Nicole is hitting the anger part of her grief, I see. Hehe. TIDE sighting!!
  10. While I'm waiting for the new episode to start...let's talk about yesterday's episode. I honestly really loved it. THIS is what I mean when I talk about how there should be an A story that is dealing with its fallout while the next A story is being built. And then there was even a C plot going on. The fallout from the Silk Press Sheila/Eva reveal continued. And there were so many elements in play. Beats were being played. And I loved every moment of it. Ted/Eva defiantly going to the country club and being more successful at it than Bill&Hayley. I love that Ted is willing to fight for his marriage. I really want to see where it goes. I didn't like the town gossip, cuz we already have one in Nosy Nurse, but she did keep the tension up. The Nicole/Dani dynamic as sisters being in play...and I'll be in the minority and say that while Dani was Dani, I didn't find her being self-absorbed at all in those scenes. She has already been established as being willing to go there. For herself. AND her sister. So her going in on Ted and Eva was like her. Her dragging her sister out of the house was also like her. No problems. And I can't say how much I loved Jan getting her moment with Silk Press Sheila. Not to mention how much I LOOOOOOVE the showdown between SilkPress and Eva at Orpheny Gene in front of everybody!!!! Giving old school soap. And SilkPress's warning she got more up her sleeve (with a snap) was delicious. And awww at Martin comforting Eva. Kat ain't going to like that. Speaking of Martin...IT'S HAPPPPENIIIIINGGGGGG!!! Now we are getting words from the night in question. So good to see them FINALLY building out that OTHER A story they started. And good on Martin for backing out from the presidency. I already said I love that the writers found a plausible reason for him to back out. The plot point served its purpose...to get a sense of Martin's personality. Now that he's been built up so we know what to expect from him, no need for it. Moreso since SilkPress's presence will continue to trigger that secret right out of him. Fingers crossed. And while all that goodness was going on...we got a B plot in the form of Doug/Joey/Vanessa. I like it. It's been allowed to grow. All POVs have been seen except for Joey's really. So seeing him put Doug on the hook officially (so this should be climaxing by end of May then since Doug has one week?) because he wants Doug to move money through Vanessa's business. I continue to wonder where it will go now that I know (and apparently missed it) what Joey's endgame is. I mean...will Doug do it? Will Joey get payback on Vanessa? Or will Vanessa fall into Joey's bed? I feel the show has done a good job developing Doug and Vanessa enough that I am invested in the story. Sidenote...ask and I shall receive aka Dani/Vanessa brief moment at the country club. I really miss them together. As for the C plot...well...I'm in the minority as well. I actually liked the Ashley/Derek scenes. Not cuz the typical soap himbo scenes...lol...but it was just a nice counterpoint from the other stories going on. And it was just nice to have an episode with A, B, and C stories going on and NOT be jarring and ALSO no quick cuts to another scene. It FLOWED. I actually like Ashley and while her last appearances in solo Derek scenes were DOA, I felt there was more going on. At least this time. It was building on what was already growing...Ashley's annoyance at Derek moving in. Derek...being a typical guy. I am hoping that will go somewhere. And I love that we got another Jan/Ashley scene. At the moment, it's the only thing giving us a clue to Ashley's inner life. That said...I really do want to see her out of her story bubble. There's so much potential with her and her career as a nurse. Moreso given what's going on there. As for the mysterious stranger...well...I wonder how they are going to play it. Since most of us (but not all so not discussing it farther) know a bit about him. As for the coda...it is bittersweet now knowing it was Maurice's last scenes. I mean...what do you all think? A nice point for him to stop? We got to see Eva accepting by the father she always wanted to be with since Day 1. Nicole looks on. Quite soapy.
  11. Oh, yeah as the episode went on, I love that they gave a plausible reason for him to back out. Most soaps who use an idea/story point to define a character would just drop it and make it seem so jarring and out of character. So I love common sense...or the SilkPress craziness...won out.
  12. Hahaha. It was worth a try. Alas.
  13. And still with a nice bod, too. 😜
  14. I guess the internet cat ate my homework. Let's try again. Exactly!!! The writers even found a plausible reason for him to stop. Something other soaps could never. Same. They really hit a goldmine on a young rivalry right off the bat. tbf, he might pop up by the end of the episode. This show is quite good at using that good old Y&R trope.
  15. Exactly! All of this. And the writers even found a plausible reason for him to move away from it. Unlike some soaps. Same. They hit a goldmine with a young rivalry off the bat.
  16. IKR. So well-done.
  17. It really was...hitting that soap point perfectly with theme song. hehe. I couldn't even believe she left. Not to mention how popular she grew over time given how plain she was in Season 1. But looooord I lived for her recaps at the beginning of seasons. I loved her fashion. And her wit was to die for. Lord...younger me ate it up. And even through all of her mess, she STILL had moments of vulnerability.
  18. Love this. And it would be part the show being meta again and a refreshing twist since the tale of a black family moving into a white neighborhood has been told, but the opposite...?
  19. Really? But it was sooooo unrealistic. At least they found a legit reason for him to not run (SilkPress Sheila ain't no punk or joke...lol). Well tbf it sounded like he was joking. So I didn't think he was serious until yesterday. And I felt...THAT'S IT? So it's good he said it aloud to Doug's face so there was no way to mistake how the scene was played...which well I did. Seems so...simple?...given what's been at play with Doug and Vanessa. +1. I agree.
  20. Oooo. I like the current actress, but that's a pretty great choice.
  21. And you would be correct re: Damian. I've said the same. And Bonus...he had a story with twists. So I for one got annoyed, but cautious when the Dumas twist happened because it immediately felt like the best current story going on on the canvas was about to be hijack. And...looks like I was right.
  22. At this point...SAME.
  23. Which has also slowed down from 100 pages a day, but I digress. 😜 Yeah. When even I am getting annoyed with it (and still need to catch up on DAYS new team...two weeks behind now grrr) enough to take a break...and B&B holds my interest more for a show where nothing is going on...it's a BAD sign. Seriously thinking about that break until Then we go from there. I just can't believe JG just went and lost all the momentum that was built up over the last month. And during May Sweeps, too? No, ma'am.
