Totally agree with everything. I also see Julie and Doug living in a lavish penthouse/townhouse too. Like the one Julie lived in back in the early 90's. But since Days so poor. They placed them at the Horton home. Which i don't mind.
Just like you. The Julie i was introduced too. Was a sophisticated and glamourous high-powered businesswoman. Not a borderline racist woman. Wearing mumu's from the Helen Roper collection. I liked her romances with Vic and Chip. As well Julie being a surrogate mom to Eve, Faith and Molly.

I actually enjoyed DePriest's run. It looks to me like the two big stories. Were both going to reach their denouements. Then Marland took over and he dragged both stories far too long.
