  1. Lilyan Chauvin who played Lil appeared on the show before in the 70's as Pierre's sister Marianne. She didn't like Sally and blabbed that Sally's baby was Snapper's to Stuart Brooks. Lilyan hosted a show where she interviewed several soap actors and it is on youtube. I posted several clips a while back.
  2. I think she would have fit in nicely. I can picture her going up against Katherine and the Abbott's. She had elements of Brenda and Deborah Adair in her early Vanessa.
  3. Looking back to some early Vanessa scenes on youtube, I feel that Maeve Kinkead might have been good as a recast for Brenda Dickson as Jill on Y&R.
  4. Jordan Clarkes wife Valerie Hawkins was also an actress. In the 60's she did a horror film called 'Sting Of Death" about a jellyfish monster....LOL. Also in the 60's she was the girl in the Texaco ads dressed as a firefighter. I've seen some on youtube. Her daughter commented on one.
  5. I thought that Y&R hired the composers from Bless the Beast Children to do their music ? They brought music from the film, but figured they also composed original pieces for the show over the years. Sandy DeVore who was a major graphic title maker for movies and TV (the Partridge family opening) created the Y&R logo and did the pencil sketches. When he retired in 1988 they switched to live action shots,
  6. I was watching some episodes of a short lived 1970-1971 series called "The Interns" with Christopher Stone, Mike Farrell etc....on youtube and heard some background music that was later used on Y&R in the 70's/80's. The series was produced by Columbia Pictures. In one scene they were playing background music that I remember seeing in the 1975 Y&R Jennifer Brooks mastectomy episode.
  7. The late Cindy Carol ? All sources I have checked says she is still alive and was/is a school teacher going by the name Carol Connelly. Her real name was Carol Sydes and she acted under that name till 1963 when Columbia gave her the stage name Cindy Carol for Gidget Goes To Rome. I found the 1963 newspaper article about it online.
  8. I want to say this Donna Mills as the cat woman, but it also looks like it might be Ahna Capri.
  9. Today I watched Gidget Goes To Rome (1963) with Cindy Carol (aka...Carol Sydes). I know she had a role on this soap and was married to Christopher Connelly of Peyton Place fame. I did some research on her and found out she is a school teacher going by the name of Carol Connelly. I can't find a recent pic of her though. Carol also did episodes of LITB with her NTY co-star Tony Dow.
  10. There are also 1968/69 episodes of Mannix with Kathryn Hays (Kim ATWT). She is beautiful with her long hair, Jerry Douglas (John Y&R) and Beverlee McKinsey The 60's Dragnet also featured a lot of soap stars Jerry Douglas, Brooke Bundy, Judith McConnell, John McCook, Susan Seaforth Hayes, Don Stewart etc...
  11. I Googled Adam Lazarre White (googly eyed Nathan) and was shocked he was born in 1969. I thought he was way older than that. He was just in his mid 20's when playing Nathan.
  12. I wonder what Kathleen thought when Kim thanked for leaving the role to her ? Was Kathleen fired or did she quit ?
  13. I always though that googly-eyed Nathan recast looked like Tony Dow from LITB.........LOL
  14. I remember Kathleen Turner being a guest on Rosie O'Donnell's 90's talks show and they showed a clip of her on the Doctors. Kathleen said the writing was crazy at times. I don't know if that was true or if she was just bashing soap work. Interestingly Kim Zimmer who took over for Kathleen also appeared in Body Heat with her.
  15. Here is an early 70's Mars commercial featuring Kathleen Beller and Parker Stevenson
  16. Thanks for the SOD scans. I also enjoyed reading the Y&R bits.
  17. Awesome song by the awesome Irene Cara, but those dancers are hilarious..........LOL That one guy gets slapped in the face by accident.
  18. Yes, the show had started to fall apart by the seasons 5 & 6. They introduce the Falmonts and it seems like they are written out quickly, except for Ted McGinley's character. Kevin Conroy who plays Bart Falmont has been known for the last 20 years or so as the voice of Batman. Conroy had previously been on Another World and Search For Tomorrow. The fight between Bart & Steven in the gym is so camp. They fight and then collapse and look at each other all dreamy.......LOL

It looks like since it's summer they would do beach/travel type blocks M-F like Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Gidget, The New Gidget, etc.....
  20. Probably been posted before, but still great 1982 promo.
