  1. Which season are you on? I'm addicted to Wentworth. Having seen a good chunk of the original series, Prisoner: Cell Block H, it's so cool to revisit these characters.
  2. With all due respect, what does this have to do with All My Children?
  3. And there is NO conversation taking place. It’s just post after post after post.
  4. Supposedly in October 1984.
  5. You certainly implied in the worst executive producer thread that Conboy and Weston had stuff to do with the Peapack days. You defended Wheeler's shoddy production values during Peapack and then went on to say, "the next part was learning how to write for the new structure. Which they very well did, but it took some time & part of that time was wasted having ConWest in place!" Sorry but that statement gives the impression that Conboy and Weston were still employed in 2008. They were gone by 2004 so how could their employment have had anything to do with the time to implement storytelling changes that occurred in 2008?
  6. I thought Chelsea's profession was a singer when she was introduced in 1986. Later on, she branched into other careers.
  7. Lau was at Another World from 1986 to 1990. He wasn't on the show when Farren Phelps was there. She was executive producer from 1995 to 1996. Gary Tomlin hired Lau on OLTL. There are closing credits featuring Kale Browne online from March 2001 that show Tomlin as executive producer.
  8. No. There was a seven- or eight-year gap between Long's stints on Guiding Light and One Life. Why do you consider Laurence Lau to be a FOJ? I don't see the connection.
  9. As others have said, IMDB is not accurate. Rebecca was on Guiding Light for three years -- 1995 to 1998.
  10. L. Virginia Browne is the one who brought back Steve Frame. And it was in October 1981, not 1983. Jacker took over as head writer about a month after Steve had reappeared. Robert Soderberg and Dorothy Ann Purser killed off Steve in early 1983.
  11. I believe Lucky Gold was responsible for the Reva time travel story, not Brown and Esensten. That happened in 2001, long after Brown and Esensten were gone.
  12. I believe Mary Ryan Munisteri introduced Johnny.
  13. Ah. The infamous Marland interview. So full of hot air. Yeah, he married Penny and Jerry, but where was the big storyline he touted?
  14. Dennis departed in mid-November. Iris left at the end of November. And Eliot was gone by the end of December. I remember being so disappointed with Eliot's departure because I thought he and Paige were an interesting pairing.
  15. The change in logo happened much earlier...probably within a few months of the premiere. The episode where Iris and Alex married (which I believe aired in November 1980) featured the new logo.
  16. Wow! That drop for Days is astounding. From 7.0 to 4.8.
  17. Margaret Reed (ATWT) was on last night's episode of Pose on FX. She portrays a dowdy suburban housewife who has a run-in with the fierce Elektra Wintour. Her scene with Dominque Jackson is quite memorable.
  18. Are you sure about that? I don't remember Schnetzer going to recurring status. I thought one of the points of killing off Frankie was so that it would open up storyline for Cass and have him go back to his caddish ways.
  19. According to the guy who managed the old Somerset Page, Kubec was the final head writer.
  20. Alice Hirson played Marsha on Somerset.
  21. I believe someone on here also mentioned that Pat Randolph was slated to be part of Another World: Houston. That makes sense since Another World was going for a Kevin/Pat/Reena love triangle. I assume Tom King had created the characters of Reena, Kevin, Striker, and Victoria, all of whom appeared on Texas. Apparently, the Corringtons changed some of the details about those characters. I know Striker and Victoria had other children in addition to Reena. I believe they had twin sons and a daughter named Samantha (later made Reena's cousin on Texas). In addition, a fall 1979 synopsis on the Another World Home Page mentions that dialogue was crossed out in one script that referenced Kevin's two grown-up children.
  22. I recall a Daytime TV article about the spinoff early in 1980. The series was then called Another World: Houston. There was no talk at all of Iris moving over to the new soap. Rather, Russ Matthews was going to be a core character. I believe Texas was originally supposed to debut in June.
  23. Thanks so much. These are all incredible reads. I got a chuckle out of Reed praising Armand Assante. Most folks who watched The Doctors in reruns on Retro thought that Assante was terribly miscast as Mike Powers.
  24. When did the Corringtons leave Search?
