  1. I don't get this Cin story. Why isn't Ben more happy that his wife is alive? I know she doesn't remember him, but shouldn't he be happy she is alive and let her recover and regain her memories slowly? Why is he forcing her? It's almost creepy. Her being alive and not remembering you is a bummer, but Ciara being dead is worse lol. Also, why is Marlena getting involved with this when John has a more pertinent crisis currently happening? It's really stupid.
  2. The fact that they are 2 nice people that are basically normal for a soap and just love their kid is boring!!! I guess I can see the appeal but neither actor is great, they have no chemistry or heat, and they are literally the equivalent of watching paint dry. Willow is a lost cause. She looks bland, she acts bland, she's not connected to anyone, and I wouldn't miss her for a second if she was gone. Michael should be better. CD had potential when he started, but it's all gone downhill. They should bring RAGEMichael Drew Garrett back. I looked him up and he's pretty hot now and it's not like he's had much acting work. Actually, they could just make DG Morgan and call it a day.
  3. Agree to disagree. I don't consider her a daytime superstar, but I do think she is a great actress. She does excel in pretty much everything she is given, but she's not given that much. I have to say she is supporting to me. She has definitely had years where she has had major stories, but she has also had a lot of time doing little to nothing or in a very B story. She's never had a breakout pairing. I don't know. I would consider Julia on SB the role that made her famous and Alexis is just a role she's played longer. Don't get me wrong, I am fine with her getting an episode for Alexis as opposed to the usual suspects (Jason/Sonny/Sam/Carly), but I guess I just don't see why Alexis deserves one when many other characters anniversaries were ignored. In the scheme of things I have no problem with it, but I definitely think it's strange.
  4. I don't think him and RB are great or anything. But it would make sense. Yeah, CM has sort of an Ingo/Jax feel. Can lead stories, but are mostly handsome and bland. I mean he is too old, but he's only 4 years older than GV, so the show was already stretching it. JJ is about to turn 39, JY is 41, GV is 47, so that already puts GF having Lucky in her teens regardless.
  5. He definitely doesn't have a JJ vibe, but he does have a GV Lucky vibe. I don't think he's any worse than JY or GV as Lucky in theory. And if they want to bring RB back it would make sense to set up a Hayden/Liz/Lucky triangle. If JJ isn't willing to come back, Lucky is necessary on the show. Especially without Lulu. I'd rather that than Ryan. Even though I loathe Ryan, at the end of the day CM is a handsome, likable actor. Nothing amazing, but nothing awful. Ryan was awful. CM really wasn't.
  6. It does seem odd they are giving Alexis a special episode. NLG is popular, but she's not TG or GF or even MB or SBu. It's a great achievement, but it's not like Alexis has driven that many stories in 25 years lol. She's had stories, but she's definitely more supporting than a lead IMO. There are loads of characters on the show that have been on it longer that have never gotten anniversary episodes. I'd be annoyed if NLG kept 'status quo' just because she got her own episode, though. It kind of goes against everything she always standing up for on social media.
  7. Could he be playing Lucky? I know he's quite a bit older than JJ, but he's only a few years older than GV. I would storm ABC studios if he was playing Ryan again. Out of all the characters to spend money on......
  8. I am fine with Belle/Shawn being endgame, but I think NBC/Days was short sighted in not playing off Belle/Phillip's chemistry. Roman/Marlena were endgame, but eventually the story was adjusted to John/Marlena when the stronger story and chemistry was there. Belle needed to be a hybrid of Carrie/Sami. Not evil, but more of a vixen or a mild schemer or even a spoiled brat. When KS started playing Belle she was briefly like that. She's too much like the perfect John/Marlena spawn. There is no drama or conflict there. Carrie vs. Sami still works. Belle vs. Sami does not. They never fought over romantic rivals, they didn't grow up together, they don't really have any conflict outside of Belle's parentage and Sami trying to sell her, which is great conflict, but Belle doesn't seem to care about that. I feel like the non stop drive by visits or firing/hirings get in the way of Belle, Shawn, Chloe, Phillip, Carrie, Lucas, etc. stop the growth and maturity. Everytime Carrie or Chloe come back they have a new career or new issue, but we don't see it on screen. Carrie/Belle consistently cheat on their spouses, but we just hear about it later. Where's the story in that? Brady is the only character of that generation that spent a consistent amount of time on the canvas and he's one of the least interesting of that group. It's disappointing to me because the Sami/Austin/Carrie/Lucas and Belle/Shawn/Chloe/Phillip generations carried so much story and then were fired and/or left. If you told me in 1997 that Carrie would not be the lead heroine on Days in 2021 I would have thought you were crazy. Same with Belle in the early 2000's.
  9. Isn't titan still around? Isn't that what Phillip and Xander are fighting over? And Dimera Enterprises which does a little bit of everything and everyone seems to be fighting over it too? I think Basic Black is solely fashion. I don't think they do anything else. I though John just bought it with his Alamain or Toscano fortune. I didn't think it was part of the Alamain empire but I guess it's possible since he was still thought to be an Alamain back then.
  10. The recasts aren't the strongest. And obviously the trajectory from 20 year old college students to wanting marriage/children immediately aged them a lot. Again, ID, looks about the same age as her parents as well. Chloe/Phillip struggled a lot too. Chloe has been everything from good girl, heroine, vixen, bad girl, and prostitute. Every writer over the last 20 years has had a different idea about her. I don't even know what her career is now. Manager at Doug's? Opera singer? She's also struggled with a lot of odd/bad love interests. Phillip changed a lot through recasts, but I think he is the adult version of what JKJ's Phillip would have been as a teen. The weird KB years where he was a marine and lost his leg? Not so much lol. I also think the show made a mistake by getting rid of Mimi, Rex, and Cassie. I know none of them were popular, but Mimi/Shawn/Phillip/Belle needed that 4th person to make it viable. And the show spent so much time introducing Rex/Cassie for them to do absolutely nothing with them...a mistake.
  11. On the Carrie note, I always thought every writer pretty much struggled with Belle/Shawn once they became adults. They have all the history, supercouple parents, interesting family, but..they have awful stories or are written off the show. They gave Shawn/Belle a kid way too early and the only interesting thing they have done is Belle/Shawn/Phillip. Belle should not be a lawyer. She should run Basic Black or be a nurse/doctor or something. It's weird none of Marlena's children ever showed an interest in medicine. Shawn is okay as a cop, but I see Shawn as someone more rebellious than that. I always want Belle/Shawn to be more exciting than they are. Belle is not even a good rival for Carrie, even though Belle/Carrie are practically the same character. It's a bummer Jarlena/Bope's kids are so lame.
  12. I agree that Days is the only soap that seems the same. I do like everyone feels comfortable enough to continue interacting like they did pre-pandemic. I may be a party of one and say I liked the April Fool's episode. It's unnecessary, for sure, but I liked some of the nods to history (especially the Shawn/Jan, John/Sami stuff). It's silly and low brow, but I enjoyed it. The only part I disliked was the Steve/Kayla stuff.
  13. I agree. I am shocked the Hayes' or JA keep filming as well. I am also surprised the DH's are so willing to film and make out with each other. Meanwhile, on GH, Michael and Willow stand 10 feet apart talking about their feelings lol.
  14. Sort of changing the topic, I am watching early Roman/Marlena and I love them! WN/DH are fabulous together. They lack the passionate chemistry the DH's ended up having, but they are adorable. Roman is so wonderful to Marlena after Sam's death. WN is charming as hell. I don't know what happened in the 90's. Also, Anna's intro is ridiculous. "White slavery"? What? I can't even picture LH's Anna falling for WN's Roman. Glad they moved her on quickly.
  15. Seriously, Claire and Belle look the same age. ID looks way too old to be MM's daughter lol.
  16. Steve Olson is literally an entire missed opportunity of a character. What happened to him? Her stuff with Alex was not good. And the swipes MF's Mary would take at Marie, Marlena, etc. were just so annoying. MF's Mary seemed very vapid and honestly looked like Marie's contemporary. It's not that MF was old, per se, she just looked very mature. And who would run after evil Alex when Chris was hanging around? JT could definitely still get it in 1982 which is gross for me to say lol.
  17. Lol. I remember now. And she was going to press charges or sue or something. Legit, Mary was always a drag lol..
  18. Didn't Mary actually back over him with her car? Lol. Chris just never found the one although he tried. I really liked him and Marlena back in 86 before Drake. It's weird they have anti chemistry now.
  19. Thank you so much. I guess they could bring Melissa back to run it, but she seems to inept to be in charge of a company like that. Melissa would be a nice addition with Jennifer and Hope gone. Does Melissa have any other kids besides Nathan that could run it? From what I can tell Chris became a lawyer and disappeared basically, so there was no reason lol. Everything I have seen of JT's Chris I have liked. He's so charismatic. What happened? I think Chris was just never married because he never had a really popular love interest. Except Savannah, I guess. I think he was just a swinging bachelor and it actually did fit his character.
  20. Lol. Thanks. I knew it was technology based. How did Chris become a lawyer then? Didn't he own Shenanigans too?
  21. Didn't Chris have a patent for something that was super important for Anderson? I thought it was more of an engineering/technology manufacturing company not textiles lol, but I am sure that could easily be changed. Who would you bring back? Melissa? Who would run Anderson? Some long lost Bob Anderson kid/grand kid? It's so obscure that I don't think anyone would care, but it could be a nice nod to the past.
  22. Ron would do that. Didn't they kill most of the Anderson's off? Casualties of writing regime changes I guess. I think if they found a different actress to play Mary she would have lasted longer. They always could have given her a long lost child, but by 1982 all traces of Anderson Manufacturing were gone. How would you have resurrected them? They don't seem like a terribly popular family or anything.
  23. It's kinda sad because Mary was a long running character. It's a shame she went out like that. Melinda Fee just looked too old to be Mary and was very unlikable. And her obsession with Alex/Marie was weird after everything Alex did to her. Why did you dislike Fee as Mary?
  24. SBu is hot. Ingo is hotter. I have met them both (not at the same time) in person in non fan settings. Long story, but I worked at a really fancy tourist spot a long time ago. Steve has amazing eyes, but Ingo was smoking hot. Steve was super nice and Ingo was nice enough but very flirty to everyone. This was years ago, but they both were more attractive in person for sure. I didn't talk to them about GH (which I regret now) because I was trying to play it cool lol. I just don't like SBu's buffed out to the extreme look now.
  25. What? MB and IR were so hot in the 90's, but so was SB, especially before he got weirdly huge. Hot. Ignore Luke and his perm. Agree. Ingo was so hot. He even made Cosby sweaters look hot in the 90's I mean... Still can get it...(ignoring his real life personality of course)
