  1. Dr. Dorman debuted in 1994, but I think the stuff with Stone happened in summer of 1995. I have seen it in Sonny/Brenda edits so I know it still exists on you tube. It was after Stone's diagnosis, but Dorman's main story at the time was refusing to treat Stone because it was a hopeless case. He was very recurring. I think the character left and then came back but was recast at least once or twice before Tuc Watkins took over. ETA-here's the scene I remember most. Tony actually fires him. It aired late Oct 95
  2. I would agree, but that's not exactly the dialogue we are getting. It's like Sonny's saying he's really upset and does care, but I just feel a big 🤷‍♀️from Sonny about the entire thing despite his words. Nina is always about 10 mins from a breakdown, but she doesn't seem to care that much either and wants to just start a new magazine. It's not like I am personally sad about the development I just don't get it.
  3. I think the Ava/Sonny/Carly friendship helps to keep MW/Ava more relevant since she doesn't really have a ton to do right now. I really think it's more of giving Ava something, anything to do than it actually making sense. I don't really mind Liz, Carly, and Sam getting along. I don't think their friendships really add anything to the show. Again, it would be nice if someone besides Nina just didn't like Carly for long standing reasons. Even Lois seems to be on the Carly bandwagon and they hardly know one another.
  4. Yes, I do get what you are saying. You don't want catfights weekly, but for characters to at least have conflicts. A lot of long term rivalries have seem to be lost. It's all very dull.
  5. Yeah, but I think the show just messed it all up. I am not sure it had anything to do with Abby in particular. BB was just going to finish Tyler's stint up, but Gabi/Stefan caught some fans and then they bring Jake in and that failed. Then the show kills Jake off and brings Stefan back. It just seems completely bungled from start to finish and a downside to filming a million years in advance.
  6. GH-Jason, Faison, Helena Once was fine, but multiple times is excessive Days-so many, but bringing someone like Stefan back was silly.
  7. Yes! Sonny's reaction just seems so tame. So unlike him when he's betrayed by a woman. He's basically ambivalent about the whole thing. He is still wearing his wedding ring and hasn't filed for divorce, but it's not even his focus right now. Drew is the most angry about it all and he was in prison for 10 min for a crime he did commit, so I don't care about his pain. The Ava/Sonny/Carly stuff has never made sense. They shouldn't like her and she shouldn't like them. There is no reason on Earth they should all get along. It adds nothing to the story. I actually don't mind Liz and Carly getting along, but I do find it weird Carly gets along with basically everyone (Alexis, Sam, Ava, Liz, etc.) that should be some of her lifelong enemies. It just seems like a way to prop Carly and make me think anyone that dislikes her is very in the wrong.
  8. It seems like the show has really cooled on the Molly/TJ/Kristina surrogacy story, so I guess Kristina/Blaze suffer. It makes me wonder if the show is just moving on from the Sonny/Nina romance entirely. We get to hear enough about Willow and Michael's feelings, but Nina seems much more concerned about Crimson. Which is fine. I just find it a very perplexing choice.
  9. It just feels like a strange writing choice. Sonny is talking to everyone else about his relationship with Nina instead of just talking to Nina. It just seems like the show is missing out on an oppurtunity for drama between them by just having them co-exist and not fight or anything.
  10. I am surprised no one has mentioned Emily and Georgie on GH. Totally silly when you think about how much long term story both had to give. AJ is another short sighted death.
  11. It's funny no matter how many times that question about JER and the murders is asked no one has ever had a definitive answer on what his original story was. He really must have kept it secret. You'd think by now all these years later someone, somewhere would know the answer lol.
  12. But, again, I don't like the Possession story so some of my memory may be tainted. I just remember extra padding and then we finally moved on to Aremid which is probably my favorite JER story.
  13. I really don't know, but I remember literal flashback episodes of the entirety of the Possession happening regularly. I don't actually think it was JER's choice and I do think it went on a bit too long. John was carrying "dead" Marlena in the streets in the rain for like two full episodes😂 The 90's dialogue on Days wasn't exactly a parody but it went like this: Carrie- "I think Sami is up to something" Marlena-"I think Kristen is lying" And various versions of these same conversations over and over. But I can't tell John/Austin because they would be heartbroken or some other nonsense.
  14. I never heard it was JER himself, but NBC. I could absolutely be wrong, but he didn't have much more material to extend it. I can see your point. I just felt day to day a lot of the dialogue got very stale and the show would build up to a climax that just wouldn't happen unless it was sweeps.
  15. I have been pretty vocal about not being a fan of the Possession and I do think it went on too long. It was a very cool talking point among random non-soap fans, but did it help Days in the end? Idk..
  16. I believe the show also extended the Possession much longer than planned due to popularity. You can see the points where a lot of the action is very superfluous and I think NBC wanted a sweeps ending in the summer.
  17. Well, there are a lot of good things I can say about JER. I loved the way he wrote John/Marlena. I loved his events. But pacing was never his strong suit. Everything lasted forever when a few clear conversations would have changed the entire story. It did dumb everyone down. Although I do still love the era.
  18. OG Dorman was very shady about Stone and his diagnosis. I think that was his whole bit. Tony had to be like whoa slow down there bro. He can still live out the time he has left. And OG Dorman, was like, no thank you, I am a bigot lol.
  19. I can write you an entire essay about how stupid Sonny/Brenda's reunion we waited years for was tied to an origami gum wrapper serial killer and it still wouldn't be enough. It was that bad. I thought V was a vague replacement for where Miranda should have been in the story although I liked her. Bringing Julia back was long overdue, so props for that.
  20. I, as a John/Marlena fan, do know that lol.
  21. I will agree John/Drake looked pretty rough back then lol. Benjy had so much potential and again it was never really used. Benjy/Benji-not sure lol.
  22. Nothing, so nice happy ending for both of them. Win Win. Btw, I hate Lois's outfit. It's too far on the tacky end even for Lois. Rena looks great, but I still don't get the vibe that anyone on GH currently "gets" Lois at all.
  23. All those stories were just odd for lack of a better word. JER possibly could have done something with it, but the Roman/pagoda story was a big let down from the beginning. It was clear Deidre was in talks to return and it didn't happen so the story just puttered out. Benji might have been the only real story with legs. It could have been explored more. The Shane/Drew stuff was DOA on arrival although the show has used the twin fact in recent years. Lol! We started getting into weird JER territory where John was going to drink Poisoned! Brainwash! Soup. His haircut was the most realistic thing airing at that point.
