  1. Yeah, you are right. I don't even think Drew is that similar to Jason. I just know the show completely ignored BM's Drew the minute SBu came back. If anything, I find this Drew to be closer to Jax. He doesn't have the Sonny hate, but CM's Drew has become just a nice, attractive business man. Honestly, if you put aside the Australian thing, CM actually probably would have been better as a Jax recast.
  2. I think you could recast. I don't have enough interest in Drew to do that though. I think it also depends if you bring Jason back. Drew becomes pretty redundant when you have Jason around.
  3. From my understanding, Steve doesn't really like the Patch nickname. I know Kayla went out of her way to call him Steve instead.
  4. I think maybe bringing back Ryan Carnes as Lucas to deliver the news would have worked better as well. Basically, pretty much anyone other than Drew lol.
  5. You didn't miss much. Vivian buried Maggie and then Brady got involved and buried Vivian. I think it was in Isabella's grave (her remains were removed). Someone probably can explain it better, but it was tacky.
  6. There was a Buried Alive Redux story with Brady and Vivian and Maggie I think. It happened. I just didn't like and don't remember it that well. The show never didn't anything else with that underground kingdom Stefano had in Paris. I am not sure what else you would do with that though lol.
  7. Drew just really felt like the wrong person to be there. He had no relationship with Bobbie. Perhaps Michael or Josslyn would have been better. I don't like either one of them, but at least they had a relationship with her.
  8. You make a valid point. Aremid was cool. The show should use the fact this place exists more often.
  9. That is probably true. I just thought it was an interesting concept. Aremid was so gothic. I remember Days fleshing out a lot of the townsfolk. I just can't remember if it was anything more than an idea. I am not defending Missy. I just think it's embarrassing lol.
  10. I like Chanel a lot. So I am okay with her. I don't think her and Johnny are great, but they are cute.
  11. I think we all know the story at this point, so I didn't feel like getting into it again. I know Missy isn't the greatest, but it must be so embarrassing to have the entire (soap) world know your private business.
  12. The Johnny/Chanel scenes were totally out of place lol. They don't do that much either, but I still find them much more interesting than Wendy/Tripp. Alex being angry at Justin is so annoying. I am also annoyed Alex immediately started calling Justin by his first name. The man raised you for 30 plus years. Both the actor that plays Tate and the actress who plays Holly are great finds. These are the type of actors Eden McCoy should have been competing against at the Emmys. I am also really ready for the Abe memory thing to be done. Can we move on and focus on Paulina and her illness now? I feel like Abe lost his memory so long ago. All the momentum is gone now.
  13. With the way the 80's shaped up for soaps I wonder if something like Maggie's Farm could last. Doug and Julie spinning off sounds much more realistic as far as concept. The other spinoff idea I always thought was interesting was the Aremid one. I remember reading bits and pieces about it. I don't know how far along it got though. It obviously all fell apart when Missy quit.
  14. Between Theresa's jacket and Ava on GH's blazer I am going to assume there was some sort of clearance special on ugly feathered coats in Los Angeles. They both look like they are wearing dead muppets.
  15. Interesting. Do you have more info on that spinoff?
  16. The thing about this Nina/SEC stuff is that it's already over. Carly kept her house and has Kelly's now and Drew's out of prison and Carly/Drew are back together. Sure, it sucked for Drew that he almost died, but he unfortunately didn't. The consequences for those two have already occurred. I am sure Carly and Drew will be mad, but knowing Nina turned them in doesn't really effect them in any way. The people that were yelling at Ned can just yell at Nina now.
  17. It makes me curious how far along this pilot or bible got. Two head writers were working on it, but you only get the vaguest of details. Were they going to kill off Roman? Lol. And the concept of Marlena being a Midwesterner in the big city seems silly. Marlena's one of the more sophisticated Days characters. Would she be that out of place? For some reason I thought the spinoff was to take place after the affair, which doesn't seem to be the case. I agree it sounds better than Pacific Lives, but I think it would have hurt the main show. At the time Days was already veering heavily into the Carly Manning hour, I could only imagine what would have happened without Marlena, Roman, or Carrie around.
  18. Perhaps it was a fictional write up of Calliope/Arleen Sorkin? I can believe maybe they wanted Calliope but weren't sure they could get her? This all seems so bare bones and silly I can't take it too seriously. Again, if Deidre wasn't the full on lead of Days for the entire 90's this project might have made sense.
  19. I don't want her to side with anyone. She should take her child and get the hell out of town. Sorry Wiley, you are probably stuck with Michael for life...
  20. Twin Assist!! Listen, this is one of the only times I have felt Willow had some agency about her own life and choices. I hate when Corinthos men are like it was to protect my precious flower of a woman. It's annoying.
  21. I always thought it would be a wacky Calliope like friend. Which would work? The bible didn't ever sound that great to me. I think you could make Marlena a lead on a different show, but why would you? She was already the lead on the mothership. It seemed weird to give her a random love interest as well. I can understand the underlying thought of moving Marlena to an entirely different place with baby Belle when her own life fell apart. It just seems redundant. Why take your main star off the main show. It seems strictly vanity to keep Deidre happy.
  22. Lol at Sonny telling Nina to apologize immediately to Carly.. After midnight. After her mom just died. Shut it Sonny. Carly actually has bigger problems today. Carly will probably weaponize this later, but Sonny just stop. Gosh I hate Willow, but I would not be opposed to her just throwing Michael off the dock today.
  23. I think flashbacks of Sarah would be great. Appearing? Still on the fence on that. It's hard for me to say since JZ passed not just the character so everyone should be able to pay their respects.
  24. Ugh...I hate myself for typing this, but I think LW is doing great. She's really doing a realistic job. I would go against SJB/TB appearing because it's gimmicky. I didn't like the 3 Carly appearance years ago, so I could be off on this.
  25. Lovely tribute. Why doesn't Lucas have Lucky's phone number? The show goes out of it's way to shade Lucky as a deadbeat.
