I actually think the show evened out the suspicion between both of the new cops. Who knows? Maybe both of them are moles and working together.

Not that we were ever supposed to root for Sloan, but if she actually bonded with the baby I might have some sympathy. But the only thing Sloan cares about is getting Eric into bed lol. I am going to be honest I still don't get what geo cashing is and I know the show has tried to explain it, but I am still lost. I had a feeling the lady cop was the mole. Theresa and Alex barely know each other. Why would she even want to marry him? They still sleep in separate bedrooms lol Wow, the show really wants to make Sloan unlikeable. At this point she should just tell Eric the truth. She doesn't want the baby and barely even seems to like Eric. I was a bit curious about Everett's initial reaction to Jada. His facial expression seemed totally shocked when she called him Bobby like he had no idea what she was talking about. I actually found it slightly endearing how much Rafe liked his gift and you know I never praise Rafe.

The four of them are only worth one AJ. We'd have to sacrifice more to get the Q's and Ward Family. Luckily there are plenty of people that fit the bill.

If that was the narrative I would be fine with it. AJ was supposed to be a screwup and we are supposed to think Michael is good at business and life. So far, I have found no evidence to support this.

I am not surprised she said it or thought it. The fact is Drake is younger and could get away with a significantly younger love interest because he's male. It is what it is with that. I am just a bit surprised she felt the need to intervene and try to hurt the show by moving away from a pairing the audience wanted with John/Marlena. Especially with Roman out the door was Marlena just supposed to retire as an old maid at 40? Lol. Obviously, hiring Eileen was a fantastic move and everything went the way it should have. I just do believe it because Kristen/John were certainly pushed as a real love story for awhile there and very little effort was put in to the John/Marlena relationship. Clearly, once the Possession took off and the ratings skyrocketed JER just did whatever he wanted and moved on to the stories he wanted to tell.

I have heard that rumor regarding someone at NBC thinking Deidre was too old for Drake many times. I never knew it was Susan Lee. I also don't know if we have ever had any proof it was thought or said. It makes sense though with the way the Kristen/Tony/John story played out and the racy love scenes Kristen/John had. The show didn't really go hard on John/Marlena until Aremid. Deidre is older than Drake and she probably did look a bit older then him in the 90's, but I always thought it was more the way Marlena was styled then her "looking" older. Anyhow, the John/Marlena fanbase was always there, so I don't think it mattered to the audience. The Penthouse is probably my favorite set in all of daytime ever! I was so sad when it went away.

You might be onto something with that, but they don't tend to advertise opiates on tv. People like Alan, Brenda, and Lucky on GH all had prescription pill problems, but that was generally after a traumatic injury. I can't recall anyone somewhat recently having one. John is the only one I can think of on Days and that was 15 years ago. I think alcoholism is just an easier trope to portray and get on air. Well, I can't argue with that lol!

I can't imagine Kristen/Isabella teaming up because they both would want John at any cost. Unless Isabella was the one with John and Kristen just wanted to mess with John because of Stefano. Or you could have one of the two make a play for Roman and really screw with Marlena lol. But this is getting so off base and fanfic-y. There just probably was a way to keep Isabella and Roman around for several years of story.

I don't think drug stories on soaps are often very realistic. I believe what Days is trying to say is that these innocuous drugs like pot or whatever Holly took are laced with fentanyl and how unpredictable it is. I do think it's pretty relevant and big money. I don't think Days is capable of telling such a story the way the show is structured now. I will say I prefer this type of story that reaches several people on the canvas over, say, Megan kidnapping 3 grandmas and putting them on ice.

There were quite of a lot of changes from Deidre's 91 return till JER took over full time Gene Palumbo-6/91-1/92 (Deidre returned in Aug. 91, I believe) Richard Allen and Beth Milstein-1/92-6/92 Sheri Anderson-6/92-7/92 Sheri Anderson and Gene Palumbo-7/92-8/92 Sheri Anderson-8/92-12/92 Sheri Anderson and JER-12/92-4/93 JER starts to be credited alone in late April 93 Sheri and JER did the Affair story. Isabella died in May 1992. She was the last remaining member of the Toscano family. Marina (her sister) and her "dad" were killed off long before Deidre/Wayne returned. I believe Marlena was dressed like a clown for The Groucho Marx movie festival at the Salem Place Cinema. They did that for a couple of years for whatever reason. ETA-these dates are from wiki, so do take that for what it's worth lol.

The only thing about it is that it would have made Kristen redundant, so it all worked out the right way. If the affair played out with her, I could only see Isabella ending up villainous. John/Marlena were JER's golden couple so they would never be portrayed in a negative light. I could also see Isabella playing the Sami role-catching them, changing paternity tests, blackmailing Marlena, etc. Sami still could have been evil like she was because she wanted Austin and was jealous of Carrie just without all the affair and black market kidnapping baggage. In the end though, the story played how it should have.

I used to hate Isabella when I was a kid, but now re-watching I don't mind her. She's nothing that special, but not irritating either. She was just a very good partner to John. I think in the beginning Isabella/Marlena were jealous of one another, but that was dropped very quickly once Roman/Marlena and John/Isabella reunited. For the most part all four were shockingly civil and friendly. I don't know where you would go with a character like Isabella in the end. I would guess if SG didn't leave Isabella may have become a villain and obstacle for John/Marlena. The show could never outright make Roman evil during the affair, but I bet JER would have loved to make Isabella evil.

I actually feel really bad for John and Isabella in this era. I have no love for Isabella as a character, but she really tries to stick by John and really goes through it too. Marlena coming back, being pregnant, finding out John isn't Roman, losing her bond with the twins, the Danielle/Romulus stuff, and then she dies lol. It's a rough road for her. Obviously it's awful for John, but that poor girl tries her best to help him and once they are married and have Brady she lives for about a month longer lol.

Honestly, I think he's too old to be in the Joss/Trina group. He needs to interact with real adults (not named Michael or Sonny) for a change. He's sort of just a weird age. Too old for the college set, but too young for the Maxie, Brooklyn, Willow, Sasha crew. They should have paired him with Kristina

I actually don't mind Dex, but it's very hard to be a true fan when he surrounds himself with the worst people on the show.😂 And Joss being awful aside, I think it's pretty creepy a grown man just hangs out in his girlfriend's tiny, shared dorm room most of the time.

I doubt she will grow up normal. Honestly, it would serve Dex right if Sonny killed him. Was protecting Michael worth his life? Considering that choice and the fact Joss is his girlfriend I don't think he's very bright.

Definitely. Out of all the million romantic moments that John/Marlena have had, it was weird to bring up one directly tied to their affair. It's a flashback we don't see often, so that's nice I guess. Probably. I remember Roman being jealous of John for many reasons and irritated that he was throwing around money and instantly rich, but I don't ever remember Roman doubting Marlena being faithful. Marlena, at the time, was extremely upset about the dance and thought people could tell, so that could be why she spoke of it the way she did. I just don't think anyone in town thought anything of it except it was a nice gesture for charity. ***I also have my doubts Rachel has any friends. She's a demon and I can't imagine anyone, even young children, liking her much. She seems like the type of kid who would steal someone's toys and break them just because.

Ha! No. It means Reese/Charlotte's parents were really weird and her dad groomed an underaged Carly/Caroline and then committed suicide and her mom told everyone Reese was dead because....? Unclear. Basically Carly just took her name, but even that doesn't make sense because I have met Caroline's that go by Carly, but never a Charlotte. Reese's son was also kidnapped and murdered because of her ex-husbands shady dealings, she divorced said husband, became an FBI agent that saves kidnapped kids, the ne'er do well ex husband comes back, ends up shot by Ric? I believe, and that's that. Carly goes nuts because the whole Alcazar thing didn't work out and wants Sonny back, but is stymied by Reese/Sonny's relationship. Sonny finds out about Reese's past and that she slept with Ric and dumps her. Carly ends up in a mental hospital and comes back as Laura Wright. And then Reese dies. For someone who was on the show for less than a year her actual wiki page is like a 10 min read. Reese did a lot in a short amount of time.

At the risk of derailing the thread I just read it again and it does not make sense at all. Carly/Reese (Charlotte) were bff in high school. Carly slept with Reese's father, Reese got upset and into a car accident and was presumed dead, wasn't dead and had reconstructive surgery, Carly took over her name/persona when she left town to come to PC, and Reese married some guy and lost a son. The END.
