  1. I think AZ is a little more savvy about PR and social media after the Trump stuff. She became a bit of a poster girl for #metoo for a while and I think she's very aware of how to deal with the media. I have no idea if she's gone, but isn't she married/engaged/partnered with Shawn Christian? He doesn't appear to be working that much. I hope she hasn't left. Eric killed him in a drunk driving accident
  2. I have to agree about Lucy. I don't know why she's being so annoying. Olivia was just being unlikable. She's known Lois for forever, right? Lois is no nonsense and not into lying. This isn't a new character trait. And someone should call Olivia out for the Dante stuff. Sonny is an ass, but he never got half a chance to be a father to Dante. Lois did some expository about Eddie Maine/Katherine to Chase I think? And then Olivia asked Lois if she had a problem with her marrying Ned and Lois said no. 100% agree about the show wasting Rena though. She is just hanging out drinking wine at the Q's
  3. Is she gone? That would be too bad. I never thought that much about her acting, but she's really brought it lately.
  4. On the scale of Sonny betrayal's this feels relatively minor. I don't know he'll probably be mad at everyone, but it doesn't feel like a deal breaker to me. I don't know why Olivia was so mad. Lois wasn't wrong at all. I am not absolving Sonny because shooting a cop point blank in the chest is very wrong, but Olivia didn't help the situation with her lies.
  5. Pretending 60 year old Sonny is a prize at this point in the game is hard for me. I can accept Brenda and Carly thinking that way due to history and bad choices. But I can't see a successful woman like Nina being that into Sonny. Her self esteem is obviously poor, but this is a relatively low stakes pairing. I know there is a very small vocal part of the audience that loves Sonny no matter what, but c'mon? They have piled so many marriages and children on this man that no one would find him a catch. Plus, he's also openly a criminal.
  6. Oh, yeah, I know some Jarlena fans are deep into it. I would never expected two co-stars who aren't in a relationship to kiss at fan events. I think it's just a John/Marlena thing because they used to have a lot of sex scenes and fans got used to it? I am not saying it's normal, I just think they have very intense fans.
  7. Part of the reason I hate Nina is how pathetic she is. She has decent chemistry with Sonny, but she comes off so spineless and begging for any attention she can get. Lots of ladies have been dumped by Sonny. You aren't part of an exclusive club. Just tell him the truth! He just follows you around the Metro Court anyhow. He'd have like 12 extra hours in his day without her. I think Carly does actually have her head on straight. I like her current trajectory except for Drew obviously.
  8. So I guess Ari Zucker is just going to carry the show into 2024? Days barely deserves her. Why does Leo go on these horrible tangents? He wouldn't be as bad if he didn't spend half his time telling "witty" anecdotes. Shut up. So Marlena is now a huge Eric/Nicole shipper? Kayla's like EJ might not like this? And Marlena is like don't care.🤣
  9. I mean, Drake/Deidre make out all the time for fan events and that's weird to me. I just think they are co-workers and know they are stuck together for life basically. I am not sure if either one of them love that, but they just are resigned to it at this point. I don't think they have weekend BBQ's together or anything. I have never heard Deidre say anything overly positive about Josh Taylor so that image is strange. I am sure Josh Taylor is a nice guy though.
  10. I'll be honest I did check out a bit over the Carly/Jason romance situation because it was so random. So I could be wrong. I thought it was still an underlying thing and Carly was sort of settling for Sonny. I totally understand what you are saying in regards to Robin's writing. Like she was frumpy and had HIV so she should be lucky for any handsome man to have her. Robin is awesome. Nina is an idiot. And I hate she settles for scraps of Willow's attention and cowers in front of Michael. I really can't stand Nina, but the show does love to shame her for no real reason. I mean, Sonny has bedded several snitches and he doesn't like it, but honestly, I don't care. Stop lying to these woman. And again, Nina can be spiteful but people don't go to jail because of a jealous girlfriend. Drew went to jail because he legitimately broke the law. I get Carly and Drew are sad about it-grow up though and own your actions. I feel like Carly is doing okay with that.
  11. It always sounded like Wayne was very well liked and his "pranks" were in good fun. Deidre and Wayne are friends in real life and from what I can tell Drake/Deidre aren't. I think DH/DH like and respect one another as co-workers but that's it. I remember Deidre saying after they were fired in 2009 she literally didn't speak to Drake at all until they were re-hired. That was crazy to me. Not even a Christmas card? 🤣
  12. It cracks me up that Nina is going to get eviscerated for this and she didn't do anything wrong. Believe me there are reasons to hate Nina, but not for this. The show actually is saying since the deal fell apart and everyone lost money Carly and Drew shouldn't face consequences. Carly and Drew are just stupid. It doesn't mean they didn't break laws lol. I thought Sonny/Carly also broke up because Carly was in love with Jason. The show really seemed to be going there, but Steve didn't end up getting vaxxed.
  13. I think there were real solid rumors Deidre/Drake dated. Before he married his wife which is a bit murky. The stories don't exactly line up. But a few of those children aren't his biologically and it's public knowledge. Which is absolutely fine. Wayne might have felt a little more safe for her.
  14. 🤣 Thanks! I knew it was something like this, but I couldn't remember the details. No relation to Jessica Blake though. Just a common name.
  15. No lol! Roman was offscreen. Just make John Roman and call it a day. We had to live through JT as Roman and Alex North. Both of those things are very bad. Listen, if Wayne returned and was Roman instead of Alex North it would be fine. JT could walk up as Chris 3 days later. That was acceptable. Nothing about Roman since 1994 has been acceptable, so at some point I would have made John Roman and just went with it.
  16. Yes! I remember reading that about Deidre and I thought I might be crazy. But in the classic film "Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story" she actually frames it like it was a package deal too. I assume that movie is 100% facts. 😂 It was definitely one of those decisions that seemed okay in theory, but I don't think anyone thought about how to run with it long term. What are you honestly going to do with two Romans and only one Marlena? There might have been a way around it if Staci Greason/Isabella stayed longer and John could establish himself away from that fold. It just didn't pan out that way. I would have made Wayne the imposter honestly. He only stayed for 3 years and you could easily retcon that with Roman offscreen.
  17. Holly said they were ADHD drugs (so Adderall I assume), but the paramedics and Tripp said it was an opioid overdose. I mean maybe the pills were cut with fentanyl or something, but I a bit interested in what she actually took. I still think there might be something to EJ's behavior that's not just bad acting lol.
  18. I was confused about the EJ scene too. He was shaking like he took something or was withdrawing from something, but maybe the stress of everything was taking it's toll? I think old people drink warm milk
  19. Hmm...I thought Peter was much more interesting than Kristen. I thought the Kristen/John/Tony stuff was okay, but nothing spectacular. It only starting getting good during Aremid when Tony/Andre/whoever went off the rails and framed John for murder. Kristen becoming evil was a great decision. Her descent into evil was well crafted and slowly done. I believe it was Deidre that made it clear she wanted Wayne back. Like it was part of her contract deal. I don't think the show was ever dissatisfied with Drake's portrayal of Roman. The show just really wanted Deidre back and the Tale of Two Romans isn't a horrible idea. The execution was just poor. I think we will have to agree to disagree on this. I say once Wayne is gone you go ahead and make John the real Roman. Think of how Sami would have reacted. I never found John's (or Hope's) search for their pasts that exciting. In theory John still could have looked into his past as Roman and those missing years and perhaps we could have delved into what Marlena was doing those 5 years. The show started that story and then abruptly stopped it.
  20. Harris was a pretty fringe character to begin with, but the show could do almost anything with him and his family. I don't know why Harris can't become friends with say Eric or Brady. I also don't know why the show was so set on bringing a minor character from the late 80's back. I wouldn't have even blinked if they gave SBu a new character.
  21. I think that's basically it with Sly. I remember him being tight with Lucky and then he just sorta disappears. I don't believe an explanation was ever given. I kept thinking he would pop back up when Nik, Liz, and Sarah appeared.
  22. I am not saying making Kristen evil was a bad choice. It was a brilliant decision. Good Kristen was boring. I was just saying I wouldn't have wanted Roman to be villainized. JER had a very clear formula for his triangles and that was generally two good people and one scheming villian. With Stefano and Kristen being obstacles to John/Marlena I don't know exactly where Roman would have fit. Perhaps you could have pivoted him towards Laura, but I think it's interesting to think about how obsolete and uneccessary Roman became in just a few short years post-return. I'll be honest, I think making RoJohn John was one of the worst and most shortsighted decisions Days ever made. It gave us great material in the 90's, but it really was basically pointless. I would have just kept John as Roman or retconned it back before Shawn/Belle and Theresa and Brady started have kids together.
  23. I agree. I thought I was being too harsh and it was my own issue with Steve Burton, but so far Harris is just the non-hitman version of Jason. Luckily he is without the Sonny/Michael/Carly baggage, but Harris needs to be integrated with the rest of the cast.
  24. I find Josh Taylor's Roman a completely different character. I don't even evaluate him on the same scale as Drake/Wayne. He's just not Roman.
  25. Jordi Vilasuso looks good to me. I wouldn't be opposed to Ted King coming back as Lorenzo. I did think Luis/Brenda had chemistry. It was dark, but they had some spark.
