Oh, I agree about that. It was a pretty smart idea, but probably a horrible thing to do to CR lol. MM was accepted with open arms when in reality she wasn't a very good recast either. I don't know what to think. In some ways I did think the show was invested in JB and in other ways I think they were just passing time to wait for Laura. JB's Carly specifically got a lot of rough writing and it was not a great period for Carly in general. I think if the show didn't get Laura it might have been a good time to put Carly on hiatus as a character.

I agree CR was more entertaining than MM's version, but I dislike MM's Belle so much. At least Martha is a decent actress though.

CR is truly a legend lol. I loved her scenes with John because it really felt like Belle was hitting on her own father and it never fails to crack me up to this day. CR was acting with Kyle Brandt's Phillip and made him look like a Shakespearean trained actor. I will never believe Days was ever serious with her.

Honestly, I barely remember anything they did as a couple. I just know I didn't mind them which is high praise from me lol. I don't think Sam/Patrick were even upset when they broke up. I think they are similar to what Dante/Sam are now. The actors have chemistry but nothing is really happening.

The way Marlena worded how the dance happened and people's reaction was strange. I don't think anyone was really suspicious of John/Marlena about the dance. They just thought John was being generous with his new found money. Everyone was pretty shocked when it came out that John/Marlena had an affair except those who knew (Sami, Kim, Victor). Yesterday Marlena made it seem like everyone in town knew and I guess just didn't tell Roman lol. Even when she pops up as ghostCourtney I get upset.

I'll actually give Michael the benefit of the doubt on this because even though his logic was very convoluted I can sorta connect the dots. Willow lying about her cancer diagnosis was just idiotic and suicidally stupid.

You could. I think you could easily write them off, but I think the optics and possibly lawsuits aren't worth it. Personally, I would ditch Maxie and send her on a long vacation/break with Spinelli and recast AS. AS was kind of a get though, but she hasn't really impressed me ever the way she did in other roles.

So, I actually agree it seems to be an Amanda Setton problem, but the show allows it. I have some issues with her and KS as well. I think in 2024 it's a slippery slope with women in this industry and their beliefs, feelings, comfortability, etc. These women aren't actively endangering their co-stars with their issues like SBu and IR were with the vax. It's just a notable aesthetic issue. Do I think AS is in the right industry if she's completely unwilling to show skin? No, absolutely not. But the backlash for firing her or Kirsten would be too much because they really aren't doing anything wrong if the show is fine with it.

I agree. I was just thinking Sam was conning and marrying several men by the time she was 25, so by nature she might be the problem. For the life of me I can't remember any substantial Danny/Jason scenes at all, so I guess the entire parenting narrative on Jason is open. I think we are gearing up for Danny to be a problem child for Jason/Sam and it would help if I could even recall what Danny looks like.

Okay fair. I never thought about Sam really leaving that world behind because Sam parenting is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz to me. But I guess she's dating a cop now, so her trajectory is upward. I just wouldn't necessarily say Danny's behavior is tied to Jason. I'll allow it because it seems like the show is trying to at least tie some of Jason's risky behavior into all this. I just don't know how big a part of Danny's life Sbu's Jason ever was.

That..doesn't correlate at all to me. Underage teen drinking is pretty normal and does not equal hitman in the future to me. I guess they are starting the Jason stuff now and not the episode before he shows up so I can appreciate that. Also, is Sam not an adrenaline junkie as well?

I think SBu was pretty hot until about 2003 ish. When he bulked up so much it just looks weird. He's not in bad shape his neck is just huge and he's looks so red/tan/not sure these days.

Yeah, that was my immediate thought. I should probably wait till something actually airs, but it's not anything we needed or asked for. At least she's not a Brenda recast or something, but, honestly, at least that's an actual significant role that people would be interested in.
