I can't say I have followed everything, but it seemed quite sudden that Ava was the only person Sonny could trust a month ago and now he is kicking her out immediately. The disbarment seems minor and the other stuff he brought up he has known about for years lol. It feels like a very intentional shift. It seems the show has dropped the Ava/Sonny 'romance' for Sonny/Natalia. I can see the argument that Brook/Chase moved a bit too quickly with restraining orders and custody agreements. Not because I feel sorry for Finn or because he's grieving. I do think a real intervention could have been staged laying out the consequences giving Finn the option to go to rehab before this escalated this far. I know Tracy tried, but it may have been more impactful if Brook, Chase, Liz, Alexis, Tracy, etc all came to him and said rehab or we take Violet.

Yeah, but I assumed he got over that and forgave. And then was throwing it in her face again. Not that she ever should have been forgiven, nor should Sonny be forgiven for AJ, but I wasn't sure if this was a more 'manic' Sonny episode or based on fact. I hope that makes sense lol. I was wondering if Sonny's behavior just wildly escalated because he likes Natalia and was off his meds or if he actually was acting "normal" because there was a fallout.

Am I the only one who thinks Finn got ripped off when he ordered two handles of vodka and got two fifths instead? I have been moving and haven't watched a ton, but is there a reason Sonny is so mad at Ava? I hate to be that person asking stupid questions, but I thought they were okay? Did I miss some big fallout?

Probably only in my dreams 🤣 But I am super happy about them bringing JJ back because that was also near the top of my wishlist.

I don't think we actually know there wasn't a plan on how to write Hope out. I believe at the time it was for about 6 months?. Considering Days pace, I think you could easily say Hope found a lead that Bo may be alive and get away with her being gone for that period of time. That would be like 3 weeks in Days time lol. I would buy that Hope would leave her children to find Bo. Her children were grown adults. Anyhow, I always thought resting Hope briefly was the right idea. Obviously, it backfired and KA walked, but Hope was becoming increasingly unlikeable by the day. Hope had a lot of story, but none of it was landing and reverting her back to Gina or saddling her with Rafe was not the answer. Resting to me implies a break and some of the characters mentioned on this thread were cut permanently. For example, I think GH could rest Jason, Carly, Sonny, Michael for awhile and reset, but I wouldn't cut them all permanently.

The sequence of events with Finn today was so weird. He woke up from being passed out, to looking at the cut, to just passing out cold on the floor again? I found that whole scene much funnier than I should have. The paramedics just leaving him on a chair still passed out was unintentionally funny as well. Luckily, Jane Elliot being awesome made me care a teeny, tiny bit. Jagger is so annoying that I am actively rooting for Jason/Carly.

Correct. Honestly, I don't even know how the Pub runs. The dialogue implies Roman cooks, but he spent his entire life as a cop so I don't know how good he is at cooking for an entire restaurant. At least it's established that Ava can cook. I always notice on Eric Martsolf. Worse than DF. I think Greg Vaughan looks extremely red sometimes too for whatever reason lol.

Every time Leo goes into a tirade about how awful and trashy Diana was I really think Genie Francis should sue. I still don't get why Ron took an obscure 80's character and decided to just change every single thing about her. How can Ava afford to leave her brand new job for a week and go to China? I'll be honest and say Holly is just kind of a selfish jerk. I am team Sophia on this one.

I have never heard anything about another soap approaching her, but you would think they have? From the way Vanessa talks, GH is the only soap she is interested in. It also doesn't appear like Vanessa is really actively looking for work these days. I haven't seen her in anything, even a lifetime movie, in years. That would work for me and you know how Vanessa likes those quick 1 year contracts lol. I really don't think she will join The Gates though. I would love to be proven wrong, but I have never gotten the vibe she wanted to join a different soap.

I have pretty much been just watching the show if I am at home at the time and if I remember-which is rarely lol. I'll keep an eye out here to see if anything sounds interesting next week.

I think your on to something with Austin. PM just didn't work anymore and frankly looked and acted much older than Carrie. I think the entire concept of PM's Austin at the time was just odd. He was a professor or an accountant? Two things I am sure AP's Austin would never be lol. Then wasn't there the weird story where young Abby said she slept with him? It's been so long I can't recall. It does seem like it would be a lot of work to maintain constantly.

I feel like you just bring Hayden/RB back for a month or so she can take Violet and Finn. I don't even need much of a story just take them and leave us be. Finn gets sober, they get back together, and go live a nice life in Florida or something. @VeeI've been puzzled for awhile about Brennen still being on the show. I keep thinking the show is leading to something with him, but they aren't. I do find the Pikeman story to be one of the weakest on the show though. Any momentum the story had is gone and I frankly don't even care what Valentin's goal is anymore.

Same. It doesn't matter to me at all. Just go back to Brenda at some point and I am fine. I can tolerate any B pairing because I have zero investment.

Me too. They seem to have a strong friendship and it would ultimately help the cause for The Gates. It just won't help my personal agenda.🤣

I tolerate other roles. I have the entire Vegas series on DVD, I watched all her 90210 era, love the Rock and watch it every time it pops up, and I have even watched her Hallmark movies with good intent. It just not the role she was born to play and that is Brenda Barrett. I will obviously be watching anything she does and support, but the endgame is always back to Brenda for me. No!!! Can't you let me live my small little dream? I imagine Vanessa has not made herself available to other soap roles previously because it's literally a no brainer to hire her.

WHAT!!!!??? I am dying, but I would welcome her back in any role. VM and MVJ have been long time friends so it wouldn't it be surprising, but it would kill my soul a bit. Good buzz for the show if they could get her and also FU Frank for just ignoring her for a decade lol.
