    ANOTHER WORLD 215

    Part 1
    AT THE HUDSONS
John and Sharlene are on the couch.  John is sitting up while Sharlene lies in his lap.
Sharlene:  That never gets old does it?
    John:  What?
Sharlene:  You making love to me.
John:  I will never tire of that.
Gregory walks in and observes his parents.
Gregory:  Man, this is the happiest I’ve seen you two in a long time.
Sharlene:  We look therefore we are.
John:  Your mother and I have gotten close all over again.  Feels much better this time.
Gregory:  That’s...that’s great.  I wish I could feel that way about Lindsay.
Sharlene:  Do you wanna talk about it honey?
Gregory:  If I’m California, she’s New York.  That’s how close Lindsay and I have been lately.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    STACEY’S APARTMENT…
Lindsay and Charlie walk in with their shopping bags.
Lindsay:  That was great.  Oh my God.
Charlie:  If I had enough money I would have brought this dress in three different colors.
Lindsay:  The one you picked out was perfect.
Charlie:  I kinda got what they call buyer’s remorse.  I should have gotten the baby blue one.
Lindsay:  Oh come on we’re not gonna regret anything okay.
Charlie:  Except...for the way I treated my husband earlier.
Lindsay:  You know you’re very lucky to have a husband like Kirkland.  He’s so protective of you.
Charlie:  But there’s nothing to protect me from.  When I saw him arguing with his mother, I saw something different.  He didn’t want to crash the wedding reception.
Lindsay:  Sometimes it’s guilt by association.
    Charlie:  Not always though cuz.
Lindsay:  But didn’t he hide the fact that he was Christy’s son until that day they came to Tops?  He was a barista at the coffee shop.
Charlie:  The more I talk to Eric, the more I find out that he’s not like his mother.
Lindsay:  I dunno.  You have to be on your husband’s side with this.  If Kirkland wants you to stay away from Eric, then I think you should at least consider it.  Kirkland loves you.
Charlie:  I hope that Kirkland isn’t jealous of Eric or something.  He knows how much I love him.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    CHRISTY’S SUITE
    Eric walks in.
Christy:  Son it’s so good to see you.  Thanks for coming.
    Eric:  What’s up mom?
Christy:  You’re still mad at me aren’t you?
Eric tries to fight his angry front, but to no avail…
Eric:  No, I’m not.  I just don’t want people to look at me differently because of what we did at Tops.
Christy:  Honey I’ve been trying to tell people that it wasn’t your idea, but we can’t control what they think.
Eric:  I’m meeting some...nice people here in Bay City.
Christy:  Like who?  Charlie Winthrop Hudson?
Eric:  And K.C. Burrell.  She’s pretty cool.
Christy looks at him with pursed lips.
Christy:  Eric baby, your mother knows more than you think.
    Eric:  Know what?
Christy:  You turned over the evidence you stole out of Grant Harrison’s house to me.  All I have is proof that Grant bankrolled Evan Frame’s scheme in St. Croix, but you kept something.
Eric:  Mom what are you talking about?
Christy:  It has to do with Kirkland Harrison doesn’t it?
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    HOSPITAL
Kirkland is in an exam room, and sees Ryan, who again is dressed in blue jeans, sneakers and a button shirt.
Kirkland:  I still can’t believe you angels wear regular clothes.  Are you the new wave?
Ryan:  What were you expecting exactly?  Was I supposed to be flying through the sky with huge wings?
    Kirkland:  Sorry.
Ryan:  You know, kid, you showed a lot of courage coming here today.
Kirkland:  I’m worried.  What if I don’t get the result that I’m looking for?  What if I’m HIV positive?
    A doctor walks in.
Doctor:  Hi Mr. Harrison.  I have the results.

    PART 2
Charlie:  Kirkland and I went through a lot to get where we are.  I’m not gonna throw that away over a disagreement.
    Lindsay:  Of course not.
Charlie:  And I’m gonna show him.
Lindsay:  I like the sound of that.
Charlie:  But I think you should take some of your own advice...and work things out with Gregory.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    AT THE HUDSONS
Sharlene:  She’s probably trying to process the fact that she can’t have children.
Gregory:  Why won’t she let me help her?
John:  Because she’s pushing you away right?
    Gregory:  Yeah.
John:  I’m sorry Gregory but I have to be honest.  I never had a great feeling about Lindsay Winthrop.
Gregory:  That’s not what I need to hear right now dad.
John:  She lied about her reasons for coming to Bay City in the first place.  When you questioned her she pushed you away then, too.
Sharlene:  John I don’t think you’re being fair.
John:  Come on Sharlene, this girl is always playing with his emotions and it’s not right.
Sharlene:  I don’t think Lindsay’s doing that.  I think she just needs some space.  Give her time.  She’ll come around.
Gregory:  Looks like she doesn’t mind someone else occupying that space.
John:  What are you talking about?
Gregory:  Lindsay seemed just fine chatting it up at the Center yesterday.
    Sharlene:  Who was she with?
Gregory:  She was with Charlie and her uncle.
Sharlene:  Charlie’s uncle?  When did Morgan get to town?
Gregory:  Not Morgan Winthrop.  I’m talking about Carl Hutchins’ son, Devin Lucas Hutchins.
    Sharlene:  Carl has another child?
Gregory:  Right, and it looked he and Lindsay were getting along just fine.  She sure wasn’t pushing him away.
    --------------------------------------------------------------
Lindsay:  I don’t want Gregory treating me like I’m so fragile because I’m not.
Charlie:  Of course you’re not, but I hope you weren’t pushing him away.
Lindsay:  Yeah I...I was, but I’m still dealing with this.
Charlie:  Linds you can’t let it take you out.  You can’t let it destroy what you have with Gregory.
Lindsay:  Why would he still want me?  I can’t even have children.
Charlie:  I don’t think he cares about that.  He loves you, and you have to let him do that.  It’s pretty much what you told me about Kirkland.  You’ve got to let Gregory love you, just like I’m going to let Kirkland do the same for me.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
    Kirkland:  So...what are they?
Doctor:  We didn’t find any of the virus in your system.  You’re negative.  I would recommend coming back in six months for another test.
Kirkland:  Thank you doctor.  Thank you so much.
The doctor leaves and Ryan appears again.
    Kirkland:  Thank God.
Ryan:  I’m glad kid.  You dodged a bullet.
Kirkland:  I feel relieved that I’m HIV negative, but why don’t I feel like I’m out of the woods yet?
Ryan:   Because you’re afraid of Charlie finding out about your past relationship with Scott Granger, and you sleeping with the bartender at the Genoa City Athletic Club.
Kirkland:  I love her and I don’t wanna lose her.
Ryan:  Then trust in the love that you two have.  That should get you through whatever fears you have.
    Kirkland:  I do trust her.
Ryan:  I’m not so sure about that.
Kirkland:  What do you mean?  Of course I trust her.
Ryan:  You can’t keep lying to Charlie.  It’s only gonna get worse.  ---------------------------------------------
Eric:  Mom I didn’t keep anything.
Christy:  Don’t lie to me honey.  I love you...no matter what.  Nothing is going to change that.
Eric:  Mom what are you getting at?
Christy:  When I walked into the coffee shop one day, you were paying particular close attention to Grant Harrison’s speech on the Religious Freedom Law, especially the part where he said was against gays and lesbians being discriminated against.
Eric:  Why can’t I want equality for everyone?
Christy:  Because you’re one of them.  You are using K.C. Burrell to hide your sexuality.
    Eric:  I’m not doing that!
Christy:  Eric honey it’s okay.  Whether you’re gay or straight I still love you.  I will always be your mother.
    Eric:  Mom…
Christy:  You’re using Charlie to get to Kirkland aren’t you?  Kirkland is the one you want.
Eric:  You think you’ve got everything figured out.
Christy:  I know you kept the evidence of him having sex in Genoa City with another man...and I want you to use it to keep him off my tail.
Eric is stunned at Christy’s request.
Eric:  Of course it’s all about you isn’t it?
Christy:  If you use that evidence, then we’ll both get what we want, because I’m sure that Kirkland hasn’t told Charlie has he?
    Christy smiles.
Christy:  Opportunity’s knocking.  All you have to do is open the door.
    Eric:  Opportunity?
Christy:  We stand to benefit from this.
    Eric:  Again...about you.
Christy:  Honey, you are about the only thing I’ve ever done right in my life.  You’re my baby that I held in my arms.  You cried and cried, and with every scream, my love for you grew.  After Douglas and James made me give you away, I was never really the same after that.  I always felt a void in my heart.  I’ve been given a second chance.
Christy puts her right hand on Eric’s left cheek.
Christy:  I love you.  All I want for you is to be happy.  I want you to have everything your heart desires.  I don’t want you to turn out like me.  I want you to live a happy, productive life.  I want more for you, so yes, this is about what I want.  What I want is what’s best for my son.  Whatever it is you want, you need to go for it.
    Eric walks to the door.
    Christy:  Where are you going?
Eric:  Gonna go out to think.
Eric opens the door, and Grant greets him.
    Grant:  Eric.
    Eric:  You’re Kirkland’s dad aren’t you?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
Ryan:  One lie is gonna turn into another and another, and it’s the lies that are gonna break up you up.  The longer you keep lying, the more you destroy the trust.  The best chance for you to save your marriage...is to tell Charlie the truth.
    Kirkland nods his head.

Party at the Corys Part 1
Christy uses Eric; Maggie is in danger
Consultants:  ML Cooks and A. Washington Beeby

    PART 1
Kirkland and Charlie are lying in bed.  As Charlie sleeps, Kirkland picks up his cell phone off the night table and it reads 7:35am.  He swipes to a picture of the ledger he took while at his father’s house:

          Company
    Route
    Amount
    GO LIMO
    Dr. Weston
    $427
    CENTER SUITES
    Suite
    $1,256
    PREPAID PHONE
    Phone
    $80

Kirkland (thinking in his mind):  I gotta find out what that’s about.  Why did Christy go to Salem?
    --------------------------------------------------------------
    CHRISTY’S SUITE
Someone is ringing the doorbell.  The alarm clock on Christy’s night table reads 8:56am, and she emerges from the bathroom holding her stomach as she goes and answers the door.  Brianna Jameson walks in.
Brianna:  What’s wrong with you?  Are you okay?
    Christy:  I’m...I’m fine.  Cramps.
    Brianna:  That’s a sign.
Christy:  I know that.  That means it’s time, and I hope you’re ready to do your part.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE WINTHROPS...Maggie checks her cell phone as the time reads 2:42pm as she rings the doorbell.  Cass answers the door.
    Cass:  Heeeey.
    The two embrace.
Cass:  My God it’s so good to see you.  Come on in.  It’s about time you came and saw your old man.
Frankie walks into the living room.
    Frankie:  And your stepmother.
    Maggie:  Frankie.
    She and Frankie embrace.
    Frankie:  Hey honey.
Maggie takes out her car keys.
Cass:  Why do you keep pressing that button?
Maggie:  I’m trying to lock my car.
Frankie:  Oh you don’t have to do that out here.
Cass:  Unless you left food in there.
    Frankie (smiling):  Yeah, the animals.
Maggie:  It’s a brand new car.
Cass:  So what did Cecile buy?
Maggie:  My mom didn’t buy anything.  I mean I am a doctor now right.  I can afford such things.
Cass:  That’s riiiiight.  Have you started yet?
Maggie:  No...I start tomorrow.  I just had to come see you guys.
Cass:  And I’m happy that you came.
Frankie:  You know Cass and I are going to the Corys tonight.  You need to come with us.
Cass:  Rachel will be happy to see you.
Maggie:  Yeah sure but I gotta find something to wear, oh my God.  What time does the party start?
Cass looks at Frankie unsure how to answer Maggie’s question.
Cass:  What did the text say?
Frankie:  I’ll have to look at it.  I think you’ve got plenty of time though.
Maggie:  Well let me get outta here.  I gotta get something.
Cass:  I’ll text you with the time.
Maggie:  Sure sure.  I love you.
Frankie:  We love you, too honey.  Drive safe.
Maggie leaves and Frankie watches her from the door, and Cass joins her, and rubs her shoulders.
Cass:  Look at her.  She’s come such a long way.
Frankie walks back into the living room and Cass shuts the door.
    Cass:  What’s wrong?
Frankie:  I can’t shake this feeling Cass.  Something is off.
Cass:  What do you think it is?
Frankie:  I don’t know.  I can’t put my finger on it.
    -----------------------------------------------------------
Maggie gets inside of her car.  She smiles, turns the car on and the time reads 3:17pm and suddenly, unseen from the back seat, Brianna sticks a needle in Maggie’s neck injecting her with a strong sedative, and it knocks her unconscious.
Brianna:  Should’ve locked your doors Maggie.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
BACK AT CHRISTY’S SUITE…The alarm clock now reads 4:06pm.  Christy answers the door and it’s an unwelcome visitor, Kirkland, who walks right in.
Christy:  I didn’t invite you in here.  At least I know you’re not a vampire.
Kirkland:  No I’m not, and I’m not out for blood, but I want some answers.
    Christy sighs with exasperation.
Christy:  To what?  A test?  Go to Bay City University.
Kirkland:  I’m not talking about an exam, but a limo ride to Dr. Weston the day after my wedding reception.
Christy:  I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Christy turns away from Kirkland, sensing he just might be on to something.
Kirkland:  You crash my wedding reception.  You and my dad exchange this weird look as if you know each other.  Then you take off to Salem, and get this suite on my dad’s dime?
Christy:  You’re just getting warm aren’t you?
Kirkland:  That’s a question only you can answer, and I’m not leaving here until I get it!
CAMERA PAN ON KIRKLAND...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    PART 2
Christy:  Well that’s interesting, because I also think it’s time you get your answers.  It’s time you find out the real reason I stayed in Bay City.
Kirkland:  You can start from the beginning.
Christy:  Oh I’m not gonna tell you the story.
Eric walks in and shuts the door.
Christy:  My son is, and it’s time for me to leave you two alone.  If you’ll excuse me.
Christy leaves Eric and Kirkland alone.
Kirkland:  What the hell is this?  Some type of set up.  Ambush?
Eric:  No, not exactly like that.
Kirkland:  So you’re gonna tell me why your crazy mother stayed in Bay City when she could have left after my dad got her out of prison.
Eric:  I’ll tell you what you need to know.
    --------------------------------------------------------------
OUTSIDE CHRISTY’S SUITE...Christy gets a text that reads “I’ve done my part.”
    Christy:  It’s time.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
Kirkland:  What?  That’s why she went to Dr. Weston?
Eric:  Yep.  You got the pure unadulterated truth.  Most of it.
Kirkland:  Didn’t know you had it in you.  You did the right thing Eric.  Now I can tell Cass and Frankie what Christy’s up to.
    Kirkland turns to leave.
Eric:  Not so fast.  Don’t you wonder how my mom got all the evidence that links your dad to Evan Frame?
Kirkland stops as he realizes the gravity of what Eric is talking about.
Eric:  After all it was locked in your father’s living room safe.  It was so easy to break into.  My mom needed some leverage, something to make your father work his magic.
Kirkland:  You were the one who broke into my dad’s house.
Eric:  Yep it was me, and I gave the evidence to my mom.
    Kirkland:  Where is it?
Eric:  Now you know I can’t tell you that.
Kirkland:  That’s the least you can do.  You can get from under your mother.  You don’t have to be like her.
Eric:  But I am.  It’s like you told K.C.  I come from a lineage of sociopaths.  I’ve embraced that about myself.
Kirkland:  I was right about you.  You’re a lunatic.
Eric:  I’m not a lunatic, but I am crazy...crazy about you.
    Kirkland:  What?
Eric moves closer to Kirkland and comes face to face with him.
Eric:  Don’t act surprised Kirkland.  When I stole the evidence from your father’s living room, I kept something for myself and believe me when I say, I really enjoy watching it.  Over and over.
    Kirkland:  You freak!
Eric:  Oh you’re gonna see...just how much of a freak I am.
Kirkland:  You’re dating my cousin to cover up your sexuality?
Eric:  Isn’t that why you married Charlie?
Kirkland moves away from Eric, but Eric follows him.
Kirkland:  You want sex don’t you?  I’m not cheating on my wife.
Eric:  You’re gonna give me what I want.
Eric walks over to his mother’s laptop, sticks a flash drive in the USB, and plays it.  The footage of Kirkland having sex with the bartender at Genoa City Athletic Club, and Kirkland watches in amazement.  As Kirkland walks to the laptop watching this video, and Eric walks up behind him.
Kirkland:  What do you want from me?
Eric whispers in his ear and massages Kirkland’s crotch.
Eric:  You know what I want.  I want a taste what that bartender tasted.
Kirkland grabs Eric hand, takes the flash drive, and moves it away from his crotch.
    Kirkland:  And if I don’t?
Eric:  Then Charlie is gonna get a copy of this, and I don’t have to tell you what will happen after that.  Oh keep it.  I’ve got plenty of copies.  You could have another career on your hands if this went viral.  A lot of gay men, will want a taste of your frank.  I know I do...as often...as I can.
Eric unzips Kirkland’s pants, looks down, and looks back in Kirkland’s face.
Eric:  There we go.  I knew you wouldn’t disappoint.
    --------------------------------
    BACK AT THE WINTHROPS
Frankie is in the living room, fully dressed in a gray pants with an off white blouse.  She looks at her watch which reads 6:36pm.  Cass walks in dressed in a navy blue suit, shirt, tie and shoes.
    Cass (sighs):  Are you ready?
Frankie:  As ready as I’m ever gonna be.
    Cass:  You seem tense.
Frankie:  I am.  Something is just not right.
    Cass:  Maybe it’s Carl.
    Frankie:  That’s...part of it.
Cass:  I sent the text to Maggie about the party.
    Frankie:  Did she respond back?

    ANOTHER WORLD 106

    Disagreements
    PART 1
    WINTHROPS
    Lindsay answers the door...
    Lindsay (icily): Hi mom.
    Stacey: May I come in?
    Lindsay: I guess so.
    Stacey: Where were you tonight?
    Lindsay: I was with Greg.
    Stacey: Gregory Hudson?
Lindsay (rolling her eyes and sighing): Yes mom.
Stacey: I was worried about you so I came to check on you.
    Lindsay: I'm a big girl. I don't need a babysitter.
Stacey: You know what I'm getting sick and tired of your attitude.
Lindsay: Really mom? I'm getting tired of you trying to control my life.
Stacey: What happened to us? We used to be so close. It's like you can't even stand the sight of me. Every time we talk it turns into an argument.
Lindsay: Maybe it's because the two ton elephant in the room is the fact that you don't want me to tell Jake McKinnon that he's my biological father.
    Stacey: We've been over this.
Lindsay: This is all about you and your stupid self-preservation.
    Cass enters the living room...
Cass: Will you two stop?! I'm absolutely tired of the both of you constantly arguing. I'm taking Nicole to the hospital. She's not doing well.
    AT THE BLAKES
    Felicia and Mitch walk in...
Mitch (hanging up their coats, then pulls Felicia in close): It's time for our...nightcap.
He kisses Felicia but she doesn't kiss back...
    Felicia: I'm tired.
Mitch: But you promised when we left the Harbor Club.
Felicia: May I ask you something?
    Mitch: What is it dear?
Felicia: Did you go to KBAY the other day?
    Mitch: Of course I did.
Felicia: Did you go anywhere else?
Mitch: I stopped at the Center to get a bite to eat. Why do you ask?
    Felicia: How's Sharlene doing?
Mitch: Where is this coming from? We had a nice evening tonight and now you wanna pick a fight.
Felicia: Well forgive me for not being in the mood, especially since you conveniently didn't tell me that you were with Sharlene at the Center.
    AT THE HUDSONS
John and Gregory are on the living room couch...
Gregory: Lindsay and I patched things up.
John: I guess your making up session was the reason why you didn't show up to the Harbor Club. You're all smiles. It seems like she makes you happy.
    Gregory: She does.
John: So you...still want to be with her despite your doubts?
Gregory: Seems like you're the one with reservations dad, and what happens between Lindsay and me is not your concern.
John: I'm your father, and your well being will always be my concern.
Sharlene comes to the top of the stairs and listens....
John: I'll be honest with you, son. I don't think she's right for you. She was evasive about Stacey, and goodness knows what else she's hiding from you.
Gregory: You're one to talk. Weren't you lying to mom when you were having an affair with Felicia?
Sharlene walks back into her bedroom a bit upset...and walks up to the mirror. Sharlene sees Janice again.
    Janice: Hi sis.

    PART 2
    HUDSONS...
John: That was a long time ago. Your mother and I have gotten past it. That's a different situation than yours and Lindsay's.
Gregory: Lindsay came clean. She told me everything.
John: I've been around the block a lot longer than you have. Girls like Lindsay don't volunteer the truth. They only come clean after they're caught. I don't know what her objective is, but don't think that your love is going to stop her from getting what she wants.
Gregory: Lindsay and I love each other, and I'm gonna continue to see her, no matter how you feel about it.
In the bedroom, Sharlene is talking to "Janice" in the mirror...
Janice: Felicia broke up your marriage all those years ago, didn't she?
Sharlene: Those are the key words...'years ago'. Meaning it's in the past.
Janice: Seems like it's still affecting my nephew. You know all I want is what's best for you. I want you to be happy.
    Sharlene: You want Carl Hutchins.
Janice: I'm your big sister. I want to make sure that you're happy. I can take care of Felicia if you want. I can make your life better. All you have to do is let me out. There are things that have to be done.
Sharlene (covering her head): No! Stop it!
    Downstairs, Sharlene grabs her coat...
John: Honey are you alright? Where are you going at this time of night?
    Sharlene: I'll be right back.
Outside, a flustered Sharlene makes a call on her cell phone...
Sharlene: It's me. She's getting stronger. I don't know how much longer I can hold her off. Please call me when you get this.
    AT THE BLAKE'S.
Mitch and Felicia talk as Mitch's cell phone on the coffee table says he has a voicemail.
Mitch: Honey it's not that big a deal. You're overreacting.
Felicia: Oh my God. You think I'm blowing this out of proportion or something? You didn't tell me you were going to have lunch with Sharlene.
Mitch: I ran into her, and we just had a cup of coffee. I never planned to meet her. Wait a second, Rachel told you.
Felicia: So what Rachel told me, that's not the point. YOU didn't tell me.
Felicia walks toward the bedroom in disgust.
Mitch: Come on we're not gonna end our evening like this, are we? This wasn't the nightcap we talked about at the Club,
Felicia throws a blanket and a pillow at Mitch.
Felicia: There's your nightcap, and you can have it on the sofa. Sweet dreams!
    Felicia slams the bedroom door...
    AT THE HOSPITAL...
Cass and Stacey are waiting for the prognosis on Nicole...
    Stacey: Did you call Donna?
Cass: I get voicemail. I tried to give her a glass of water, and she couldn't even hold it. She just dropped it.
A doctor walks up to them...
    Cass: What happened?
    Doctor: Nicole had a stroke.
Cass: When can she come back home.
Doctor: We've notified a family member. I don't recommend she go home.
Stacey: Are you suggesting a hospice?
Doctor: I've studied her records, and her cancer has progressed. She just needs to made comfortable.
Cass: What are you saying doctor?
Doctor: She's got a few weeks left.

    BAY CITY CENTER
    Sharlene and Frankie have lunch...
Sharlene: How's everything? How are you doing?
Frankie: I'm fine. It's great to be back home.
    Sharlene: Well we missed you.
Frankie: I missed all of you, too.
Sharlene: Have you talked to Charlie?
    Frankie becomes a bit sad.
    Frankie: No. Not lately.
    Sharlene: Why? She missed you.
Frankie: I know, and she also blames me for leaving her.
Sharlene: Well I'm sure she understands that your life was in danger and you had to stay away.
Frankie: She understands that, but I think she wants me to get back together with Cass.
    Sharlene: Well? Do you?
    Frankie: No...I don't.
Sharlene: Come on Frankie. You don't believe that any more than I do.
    -----------------------------------------
    CASS'S OFFICE
    Cass gets a visitor..
    Felicia (peeking in): Hello there!
    Cass: Felicia!
    Felicia: Are ya busy?
    Cass: Never for you.
Felicia: I thought I'd surprise my best friend with some take out for lunch.
    Cass: You got wonton soup.
Felicia: Yep I got wonton soup.
Cass: I need a break. Got a ton of cases I'm working on.
Felicia: We haven't talked in a while. What's going on with you?
Cass: You haven't returned any of my phone calls because you're too busy shacked up with Mitch.
Felicia: I'm sorry honey...I'll make time for you.
Cass: Suuuure you will. I understand. I can see that he makes you happy.
Felicia: I haven't felt this way since the last time Mitch and I were married. Just like you were when you were with Frankie.
    ------------------------------------------
    CORY MANSION LIVING ROOM
Rachel is on her cell phone with Amanda.
Rachel: Everything came back clean? Great. Call Allen and tell him welcome aboard.
    Cory walks in.
    Rachel: Hi honey.
    Cory: Hi mom.
    Rachel: How was school?
Cory: It was what it was.
    Rachel: Something's wrong.
Cory: How do you know that?
Rachel: Because you're my son, and I know when something's wrong with you. Is it your girlfriend?
Cory: Michele and I are fine.
    Rachel: Well I won't push.
Cory: Maybe I'm just missing dad.
Mitch is let in and hears Rachel and Cory from the foyer.
Rachel: Oh baby. I miss him, too. So much.
Mitch watches Rachel's and Cory's embrace.
Rachel: Now, one more question for you?
    Cory: What's that?
Rachel: Where's your sister? She's supposed to come home with you.
Cory: I told her but she wouldn't listen.
    Rachel: That's why she's grounded.
Mitch has a suspicion where Elizabeth might be, and heads there.
    ----------------------------------------------------
    BAY CITY CENTER
Frankie: I never said I didn't love Cass, but he moved on when he thought I was dead.
Sharlene: You might not want to hear what I have to say, but what did you expect him to do?
Frankie: Lila made him and Charlie happy, and I didn't want to interrupt their lives.
Sharlene: Honey, Lila could never replace you. You are Charlie's mother. She will always need you.
Frankie; All I would ever want is for Cass and Charlie to be happy, more than even my own.
Sharlene: You stayed away for years, long after Fax was killed.
    Frankie: I did come back.
    Sharlene: Under an assumed identity.
Frankie: I saw how happy Cass was with Lila. He moved on...and so did I.
Sharlene: So then it begs the question, why did you really come back to Bay City?
    -----------------------------------------------------
MEANWHILE, AT ANOTHER PART OF BAY CITY CENTER
Elizabeth looks at five missed calls from Rachel on her cell phone, and walks out of a store with Dante Carlino, and encounters a surprise...Mitch.
Elizabeth (not pleased to see Mitch): Mr. Blake! Hi.
    Mitch: Elizabeth, Dante.
    Dante: Hi Mr. Blake.
Mitch: May I have a word with Elizabeth in private?
    Dante: Umm..I'm gonna head home.
Elizabeth (pecking Dante on the lips): See ya. Text me later.
Mitch: Your mother's worried about you.
Elizabeth: Oh really! So she sent you to drag me home like I'm some neanderthal. Well don't worry. I'll go home on my own.
Mitch: I'll give you a ride.
Elizabeth: What is this with you? Are you trying to take my dad's place because you're not gonna do that!?
    -----------------------------------------------------
Frankie: I miss everyone Aunt Sharlene. I needed to see my family. You, Charlie.
Sharlene: As happy as I am to see you, there's something off about this.
Frankie: It's sweet of you to worry, but there's nothing going on. I'm just trying to reconnect with the things and the people I care about.
Sharlene: You are just like your mother. Trying to be strong.
Frankie: Well I'm heading to the office. I've got work to do.
Sharlene: We have to do this again soon.
Frankie: Yes of course. I love you.
    Sharlene: Love you, too.
    ------------------------------------------------------
    Felicia: I'm sorry.
    Cass: About what?
Felicia: You turned white when I mentioned Frankie.
Cass: Whatever gave you that impression?
Felicia: Because she's the love of your life. Of all the women you've had, nobody made as happy as Frankie did.
Cass: I spoke to her yesterday.
    Felicia: And?
Cass: She said she loves me.
Felicia: Well then, you both should try and get back together.
Cass: There's only one problem with that...she doesn't.
    -------------------------------------------------------
Rachel paces in the Cory Living Room when Mitch walks in with Elizabeth, and Rachel confronts her daughter.
Rachel: Where the hell have you been? I've been calling you! You were supposed to be home an hour ago.
Elizabeth: Dante and I went to have a latte and I lost track of time.
Rachel: You are already grounded, and I said I would add a month if you violated the terms.
Elizabeth: Mom I forgot what time it was.
Rachel: I don't know you insist on making things difficult for yourself.
Elizabeth: So what are you gonna do mom? Put me in jail?
    Rachel: That's a thought!
Elizabeth: Why are you trying to ruin my life?
Rachel: Your life is my life until you turn eighteen. Until you pick up your grades, you are grounded!
Elizabeth: I can't wait to get out of here!
Rachel: Be careful what you wish for! Now go to your room!
    Elizabeth: You're the worst!
    Rachel: You'll thank me later.
Elizabeth storms off and upstairs, and Mitch walks closer to Rachel.
Rachel: Thank you Mitch. How did you know where she was?
Mitch: All the kids go to Bay City Center after school. I figured she might be there. I came to check on you.
Rachel: Well I'm going to pull my hair out dealing with that child.
Mitch: I wonder if you gave Ada this much trouble when you were a teen.
Rachel: You know what, you might be onto something. Everything's coming full circle. I was a rebellious teen myself.
    Mitch: Ahhh see.
Rachel: I think mom has come back in the form of Elizabeth, to give me as much hell as possible.
Mitch: Well I see you're in rare form. I'm gonna head out then.
    Rachel: Mitch wait....don't go.

    AMANDA'S OFFICE
Allen walks in. He has great news...
    Amanda: You look happy!
Allen: I think the news I have is gonna make you happy, too.
    Amanda: Well spill it!
Allen: Our people are out there making deals. We've signed ten writers today!
Amanda: Ten! Wow! Hmm I don't believe you. Let me see it!
Allen (showing Amanda his tablet): Believe it baby.
Amanda: Oh my goodness! Ten people!
Allen: The contracts should be finalized in the next twenty four hours.
Amanda: And only three of them are new writers. You know what, I think this calls for a celebration!
    Allen: Where?
Amanda: Have you heard of Topps?

    BAY CITY CENTER
Marley waits a table and Donna walks up to her.
    Marley: Thanks for coming.
    Donna: Is something wrong?
    Marley: Yeah...very.

    GRANT'S HOUSE
Grant opens the door, and it's not welcome company.
Reginald (walking in) Hello Senator Harrison.
Grant: I didn't invite you in.
Reginald: Oh Grant, I think you should be more gracious to your visitors.
Reginald walks to the bar and helps himself to a drink.
Grant: Yeah because sheep let wolves into their stables all the time.
Reginald: Come on Grant. We could have a great friendship. I mean, I think it would be in your best interests.
Grant: I only keep enemies close.
Reginald: We don't have to be that. I mean you scratch my back, I scratch yours.
Grant: I helped bring you back from the dead.
Reginald: And for that I am grateful...but now it's time for you to put your Senator skills to work.
    Grant: For what?
Reginald: I need you to make a few phone calls.
    Grant: Why?
Reginald: Because you adore your son.
Grant: You keep Kirkland out of this!
Reginald: You make those phone calls...or your offspring will be smack dab in the middle of this!
    ---------------------------------------------------
Donna: Is there anything I can do?
Marley: Is there a pacemaker for emotions? Mine need a jump start.
Donna (putting her hand on Marley's): What are you talking about honey?
Marley: We made love, but I felt....
    Donna: Felt what?
Marley: What's wrong with me Donna? I want to give myself to Tyrone, but something is not allowing me to. Why?
Donna: Oh honey. I wish I knew. Have you talked to your therapist?
Marley: I'm on my way there. I just wanted to get your perspective.
Donna: I...I don't know what to say. I don't think you need a jolt of emotions. You love Tyrone don't you?
    Marley: Of course I do...
Donna: Well then that's all that matters. You two will get through this. Don't worry about it so much.
    -----------------------------------------------------
    TOPPS
Allen and Amanda are at the bar.
Amanda: I don't think we've had that kind of day in a long time. You haven't even been here a week yet and you've signed ten writers. I think we've made quite a find.
Allen: I do not intend to disappoint boss...I mean....
    Amanda: Amandaaaa...
    Allen: Amanda.
They both chuckle as Allen's cell phone rings. He tells Amanda not to go anywhere; that he's got to take the call. He goes off to a private corner.
Allen: I've signed them. Yes I know what to do.
On the other line, REGINALD continues to give Allen directions.
Reginald: Good. Your payoff is coming. Just keep me posted. I've got things going on my end.
Allen: I don't want anybody to get hurt.
Reginald: You'll soon learn that collateral damage is always the necessary evil when trying to reach a goal.
Allen hangs up the phone and returns to Amanda.
Allen (grabbing his drink): Sorry that was one of the marketers. They had a question.
    Amanda: Sure.
    Allen: Let's make a toast...to success.
    Amanda: To success.
As they clink their glasses, Rachel steps out of the elevator and sees Allen and Amanda...and becomes a bit suspicious.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
Reginald hangs up his phone from in front of a door that with a name plate that reads Dr. Ben Taylor. Before he can walk away, he bumps into Marley.
Reginald: Marley. What are you doing here?
Marley: I probably could ask you the same thing.
    Reginald: I'm...looking for office space.
Marley: Oh. Are you sure that's all you're looking for.
Reginald: Of course. What brings you in this building?
Marley: I have a session with Dr. Taylor.
Reginald: Well I'm glad you are getting the help you need. Have a good one.
Marley is suspicious of Reginald's reason for being in the building, but brushes it off.

Paulina is having lunch with Dante...
Paulina (checking her phone): Your prom tux arrived.
    Dante: The one I picked.
Paulina: Yep of course. Nothing but the best for my boy.
Dante: Thanks mom. Can't wait to see it.
Paulina: So....do you have a date?
    Dante: No...not yet.
    Paulina: Anyone in mind?
Dante: I was gonna ask Lizzie to go with me.
Paulina: Oh that would be nice.
Dante: If Mrs. Hutchins doesn't keep her on punishment. She says she and her mom fight a lot.
Paulina: That's what happens when you get two strong willed personalities clashing.
Dante: Yeah Lizzie is pretty strong.
Paulina: She gets it from her mother.
    ------------------------------------------------------
    CORYS HOUSE
A man walks in with a tuxedo and a dress. Rachel signs for them, and instructs him where to hang them up. Cory and Elizabeth enter the living room.
Rachel: Cory get your tux, and Elizabeth, your dress.
Cory: This is so cool. Thanks mom.
    Rachel: Of course.
Elizabeth: Wow mom you're letting me go to the prom?
    Rachel: Yes.
    -----------------------------------------------------
    MCKINNONS HOUSE
Vicky sits on the couch in the living room, sifting through the mail, and Michele walks in and sits next to her.
    Vicky: Hi honey.
    Michele: Hey mom.
Vicky: Prom is coming up soon isn't it?
    Michele: Next week.
Bridget steps unheard and unseen halfway down the stairs and decides to listen to Vicky and Michele's conversation.
Vicky: I ordered you and your sisters' dresses. They'll probably come tomorrow.
    Michele: Been waiting for it.
Vicky: Are you going with Cory?
    Michele: That's the plan.
Vicky: You like him don't you?
    Michele (smiling): Yeah. A lot.
Vicky: So cute. You and Cory Hutchins, childhood sweethearts.
Michele: We're gonna have lunch down at the center.
Vicky: Well that's wonderful. He's a good kid.
    Vicky sifts through the mail...
Vicky gives her two letters): These came for you.
Michele (opening and reading the letters): Oh my God mom.
    Vicky: What is it?
Michele: I got accepted to Columbia, and Harvard.
Vicky: Are you serious? Congratulations honey!
Michele: The one from Harvard says it was the second letter. Guess the first one didn't get here.
Vicky knows that Bridget attempted to hide the first letter from Michele.
    -----------------------------------------------
Paulina: So why haven't you asked Lizzie out yet?
Dante: What do you think she's gonna say?
Paulina: I don't know. You won't either until you ask her.
Dante: If dad was here he would tell me how to make moves.
Paulina: Yes he sure had game.
Dante: He'd tell me how to get all the ladies.
Paulina: Now now Dante, a lady doesn't like to be toyed with. Just be honest and straight forward. They'll respect you.
Paulina gets a text that Dante's prom tuxedo was signed for.
    Paulina: Your tux arrived.
Dante: Cool! But nobody's home. Who possibly could've signed for it?
Grant walks up to them with Dante's prom tuxedo and shoes, and they both look up at Grant with a smile.
    Dante: Hi Mr. Harrison.
Paulina: Dante can you go get a bottled water for me?
Grant: Sorry. I didn't tell you I was going to have the delivery intercepted. I wanted it to be a surprise.
Paulina: You're not gonna stop are you?
Grant: What's wrong with me wanting to make Dante's prom special for him?
Paulina: Because I told you we didn't need your help! You're not listening!
    Grant: Look I'm sorry okay.
Paulina: Joe should never have worked for you! I told him not to take the job.
Grant: I wish he hadn't either, but let's face it Paulina, you both were struggling financially, and he needed a job.
Paulina: So you just gave him a job to protect you and he gets shot when you make your acceptance speech! What's your real angle Grant?
Grant: How can you suggest that I have some ulterior motive for hiring Joe?
Paulina: Do you really want me to rehash your history?
Grant: I told...Before Joe took his last breath, I promised him that I would take care of you and Dante.
Paulina: Why? Because you're a man of your word?
Grant: Because ever since you that day, I saw a chance...to be with you. I'm falling in love with you Paulina.

    CORY HOUSE
Elizabeth: Cory I think mom's kind of sick right now.
Rachel: Cory may I have a word with your sister alone please?
Elizabeth: Mom what did I do this time?
Rachel: Being my daughter...growing up to be such a strong willed young lady.
Elizabeth: Look mom I...I'm sorry for what I said the other day...about calling you a slut.
Rachel: Honey...I don't hold that against you. I'm hard on you because I don't want you to repeat the mistakes that I made.
Elizabeth: I thought you weren't gonna let me go to the prom.
Rachel: Now why would I deprive you of that? It is gonna be an evening that you'll always remember. I would never take that from you or your brother.
    Elizabeth: I'm just surprised.
Rachel: I know it's been hard since your father passed away. You miss him. Your brother misses him. I miss him, but we've got each other, and I love you more than anything else. You'll be on your own pretty soon. I remember when Carl was rocking you, and I was holding Cory. Cory was sleeping, and you were screaming your pretty little head off. You're always gonna be my little girl, and I'm always gonna want what's best for you.
Elizabeth (a tear rolling down her cheek): I know I can be a handful, but I just want to be a good daughter. I don't want to let you down.
Rachel: Oh honey, you don't. You're not a failure. You're a seventeen year old. You're my seventeen year old, and I love you. I wish your father was here to see how strong, and beautiful you and your brother have become.
    --------------------------------------------------
    Vicky: Your sister opened it.
Michele: Why would she do that?
Vicky: I think she might have thought it was hers from some reason.
Michele: Oh. Well I'm gonna go get ready for lunch with Cory.
Vicky: I'll talk to your father. We're gonna take you to Tops to celebrate.

    Jake: I love it.
Bridget: Too bad I don’t have a date.
    Jake: Good.
Bridget: That’s not good dad. Nobody thought I was pretty enough.
    Jake: I think you’re beautiful.
Bridget: You’re my dad. You’re supposed to say that.
Jake: I don’t want any stupid boys trying to corrupt my little girl.
Bridget: Might be too late for that.
Bridget flashes back to taking the bottle of vodka out of Reginald’s liquor cabinet, then putting the bottle in her locker at school.
    Jake: Where’s your sister?
Bridget: Upstairs. The fashionistas are helping her get dressed.
Upstairs…Vicky and Donna are helping Michele.
Donna: Carry your purse on your wrist. Here put the strap on.
Vicky: No you ditch the strap and carry the purse close to your body.
Donna: Vicky do you wanna mess up her dress?
    Michele: Hello? I’m here.
Donna: Oh honey. I’m sorry. Do what you want to do.
Vicky: I agree. You look so beautiful.
    Donna: Absolutely exquisite.
    Michele: Thank you.
Vicky: She’s going to Harvard in the fall.

Vicky: Oh I’m sorry. She’s trying to decide between Harvard or Columbia.
    Donna: My scholarly granddaughter.

Dante: I hope Elizabeth thinks so.

    Dante: Of course not mom.
Paulina (with a proud mom smile): Look at my baby.
Dante: Mom I'm not a baby anymore.
Paulina: I know. Where did the time go? You've grown up to be a fine young man.
    Dante: Raised by good parents.
They are interrupted by a knock on the door and Paulina opens it...and a chauffeur stands outside.
    Paulina: May I help you?
Chauffeur: I'm here to take Master Carlino to the prom.
Paulina: And who sent you? Oh my goodness.
Paulina realizes the limousine was set up by Grant, who walks up to the door.

Rachel: I'm like fine wine. I've gotten better with age.
    Cory: You're always beautiful mom.
Rachel: See at least one of my children appreciates me.
Elizabeth: I appreciate you, too mom.
    Rachel: Look at my babies.
Elizabeth: We better go before we start crying.
    Cory: You will start crying..
Rachel: You both have fun. I'll be waiting up for you.

Elizabeth (reading the card): You look awesome.
She turns around and faces Dante.
Dante: I see you like the flowers.
    Elizabeth: You did this?
    Dante: Of course.
    Elizabeth: Thank you.
Dante: I have loved you my whole life Lizzie.
    Elizabeth: Me, too.
    They share their first kiss.
    --------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Michele walks in with an exquisite tan dress, with Cory, who matches with an off white tuxedo, and a bowtie matching his girlfriend's dress. They walk in hand in hand. Bridget, who wears a baby blue dress, watches them from behind from the hall, and heads straight for her locker to get the vodka.
    --------------------------------------------------
Paulina: I didn't know you would get a chauffeur to get Dante to the prom.
Grant: It's not a problem. I did the same for Kirkland.
Paulina: You've made this a smooth event for him. I really appreciate it.
Grant: Of course Paulina. I want the best for you and your son.
    Paulina: Thank you.
Grant (moving closer to Paulina): And I want you.

    MCKINNONS HOUSE
Vicky is cuddled up with Jake on the couch, eating popcorn, watching a movie.
Vicky: I can't stop thinking about the girls. How they looked going out the door.
Jake: Seems like yesterday that Bridget was playing with dolls.
Vicky: And Michele was reading the newspaper at four.
Jake: Come on come on I'm trying to hear this part.
Vicky: Jake, I'm having a moment about our daughters. They're at that prom. Michele's with Cory, and who knows what Bridget's up to.
Jake: You know how to ruin a perfectly good film.
Vicky: Jake I'm serious. It's not that I don't love Bridget. I do.
Jake: But you always think the worst of her.
Vicky: No that's not it, but given the things that she's done lately, you've gotta be concerned.
Jake: You say she opened Michele's acceptance letter. It could've been an honest mistake.
Vicky: And I caught her texting someone from Michele's cell phone.
    Jake: She's a teenage girl.
Vicky: This must be payback for what I've done in the past.

    HUDSONS HOUSE
Gregory walks up to his bedroom, and John has just finished taking the last hinge off the door, and removes the door.
Gregory: Dad what are you doing?
John: What does it look like I'm doing?
    Gregory: You're invading my privacy.
John: And you will get it back, when you show me that I can trust you.
Gregory: Is it because of what I did the other day?
    John: You guessed it buddy.
Gregory: I'm not using that stuff anymore.
    John: Well I'm not convinced.
Gregory: Dad this is a little much don't you think?
John: It's perfect. I need to see evidence that you're not shooting up those steroids anymore.
    Gregory: Well I stopped okay!
John: It's not gonna be removed from your system for a while.
    Gregory: This is not fair!
John: As long as you live in this house, you'll abide by my and your mother's rules!
Gregory starts to have another steroid induced rage, and starts screaming.
Gregory: Maybe I need to move out of here!
Gregory runs downstairs, and out of the door. John futily yells for him to come back, but he gets into his car and drives off. John nervously mutters to himself that he's in no condition to drive, gets in his car, and tries to tail him.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
    BAY CITY HIGH SCHOOL
Cory and Michele are slow dancing, and all the kids are drinking punch. Bridget sees them from a short distance, pours a cup, and spikes it with vodka.
Michele: I'm gonna go to the ladies' room for a second.
Cory: Why? You look beautiful already.
    Michele: I'll be back.
Michele walks away, Cory goes and sits at his table. Bridget seizes the opportunity and walks up to Cory.
    Bridget: Hey Cory. Some punch?
    Cory: Yeah thanks.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
Jake: Vicky you need to stop beating yourself over that.
Vicky: I have for the most part, but Bridget reminds me of that young girl who schemed to take Jamie from Lisa.
Jake: You are not her anymore. You're a wife and a good mother. I mean you weren't this worried about Steven and Kirkland when they were living with us.
Vicky: They were good kids I suppose. They both want to be like their fathers. Steven's a doctor, and Kirk is studying political science.
Jake: For Kirk's sake, let's hope that doesn't happen.
Vicky: I support whatever Kirkland wants to do.
Jake: I think you'll be sick if he ends up like Grant.
    Vicky: You might be right.
Someone knocks on the door. Jake goes to get the door asking who that could be...it's Reginald.
Jake: What the hell are you doing here?
Reginald: Can I come in please?
Vicky joins Jake at the door.
Vicky: Reginald what do you want? You look a little worried.
Reginald: I am. You've got to get Bridget.
    Jake: What about her?
Reginald: She took a bottle of liquor out of my cabinet.
Vicky starts to worry, but Jake refutes that accusation.
Jake: How dare you accuse my daughter of stealing?
Reginald: I adore my greatgranddaugters. I hope to God I'm wrong.
Jake: Bridget didn't take anything from you!
Vicky is on the phone with Bridget.
Vicky: Bridget can you hear me?
    Bridget: Mom!?
Vicky: Calling to check on you!
    Cory (slurring): Hi Ms. Kinnon!!
Vicky: That sounded like Cory. Has he been drinking?
Bridget realizes this, rustles paper in her phone receiver, and pretends that she's losing signal and hangs up. Vicky calls out to Bridget to no avail.
Vicky: We gotta go to the school.
    Jake: What?
Vicky: We have to go now Jake!
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While some pop music plays in the background at the prom...
    Bridget: How are you feeling?
Cory (slurring): I feel great. You're so pretty.
    Bridget: I am?
Cory: How many of these have I had?
    Bridget: Three.
Cory: You're so smart. You're going to...you're going to Cumbia.
    Bridget: Columbia.
Cory: Yeah that. Your dress is blue. What happened to it?
Bridget: I spilled something on it.
Cory: Your dress was supposed to match my bowtie Michele. You're still beautiful.
Cory leans in and kisses Bridget, whom he thinks is Michele because he's drunk. They both look up and Michele is standing right over them, devastated.
Michele: What are you doing? Bridget?
Cory: Michele. It's you. Wait? I thought...
Michele: You thought wrong Cory. I thought you loved me.
Cory (stands up): I do. I'm....I'm sorry. I thought...
Michele: You're drunk! What's going on?
Michele sees the water bottle on the table, and grabs it before Bridget can take it from her. She opens it and smells the vodka.
    Michele: No. You got drunk.
Cory: It's just punch. Bridget gave it to me.
    Michele: Bridget didn't do this...
Michele flashes back to when Vicky told her that Bridget opened her first Harvard acceptance letter.
Michele: Did you open the letter?
Bridget: What are you talking about?
Michele: My first acceptance letter from Harvard. Did you open it?
Bridget: Yes! I did! You're happy now? You and mom must work for the same firm.
    Michele: Why?
Bridget: Because they love you more than me! You're smart. You've got a boyfriend. What do I have?
Michele: My God you're jealous! That's why you were kissing my boyfriend!
Bridget: Now do I have your attention?
Jake, Vicky and Reginald rush in and makes a beeline to the teens. Vicky sees Cory slouched on the table.
Vicky: Bridget what have you done?
Bridget: Mom what are you talking about?
    Vicky: We know.
Reginald: You took the liquor from my cabinet.
Jake is shocked, and so is Michele, and Bridget runs out in shame to the front of the school, and Michele and the others follow.
    --------------------------------------------------
Bridget and Michele are on the sidewalk.
    Michele: Wait we're not finished!
Bridget: See how mom and Grandpa Reginald accused me.
Michele: You planned all of this didn't you?
    Bridget: What?
Michele: You stole the liquor from Grandpa Reginald. You planned to get Cory drunk so you can steal him from me?
    Bridget: You're crazy!
    Michele: And you're a bitch!
The two start fighting, and as Jake, Vicky, and Reginald rush down the stairs to break it up, Michele stumbles onto the street, and is struck by an oncoming car....a car that is being driven by Gregory. After hitting Michele, the car swerves and crashes into the wall. Jake and Vicky rush out to the street and tend to a badly injured Michele.

    MCKINNONS HOUSE
Vicky is on the phone in the living room...
    Vicky: Okay...Everything's set? Thank you.
Vicky sees someone coming out of the kitchen.
    Vicky: Michele? Is that you?
    Michele: Hi mom.
    --------------------------------------------------
    MONTGOMERY HOUSE
Tyrone sits on the couch and Marley comes out with a plate and two cups.
Marley: Do you want something to drink?
Tyrone: Some liquor would be nice.
Marley: I was thinking more along the lines of tea.
Tyrone: Thank you baby. I'm sorry.
Marley (giving him a cup of tea): I figured you would need some.
Tyrone: We're both gonna need something more comforting than tea pretty soon.
Marley: I know. Jake and Vicky are making the final arrangements for Michele's memorial.
Tyrone: Gotta be hard for you losing your niece.
Marley: Harder for them to lose a child. I just hope that I can support them.
    Tyrone: We both will.
Marley: Something to take your mind off that hearing.
Tyrone: I feel weird about...representing Iris. Getting her out of prison. Rachel didn't even put up a fight in the courtroom.
Marley: There's a method to her madness I'm sure.
Tyrone: Given what Iris has done to the Corys in the past, she's the one who's going to be causing all the madness.

    BAY CITY CENTER
    Dante brings Elizabeth a snack.
Elizabeth: Good thing the center has a roof.
Dante: We'd be all wet if it didn't. What time is your brother getting here?
Elizabeth: He just texted. He said he's on his way. That for me?
Dante: Fries? Yeah that's for you. Definitely not for me.
Elizabeth: Why? You're trying to keep your abs in tact so you can join the police academy?
Dante: You got it. Are you trying to tell me you don't want to date an officer?
Elizabeth: It's different between me and you.
    Dante: Is that right?
Elizabeth: Yeah. I remember you when you were sliding down the slide, and you didn't anyone else to use it. It was your slide.
Dante: I was selfish back then, huh?
    Elizabeth: Yeah you were.
Dante: You weren't an angel either. I remember when your cook was baking a cake and we got a hold of the bowl.
Elizabeth: Yeah yeah I got chocolate all over my face. I remember.
    Dante: Oh the memories.
    Elizabeth: Oh...the memories.
They kiss as Iris watches them from a close distance.
    ---------------------------------------------------
Vicky: Michele oh my God. I've missed you.
Michele: How so? I've been here the whole time.
Vicky: Your father and I took you off life support the other day. I just got off the phone with the funeral director. Your memorial is in a couple of days.
Michele: Well I'm glad you guys took me off that machine.
Vicky: I am so proud of what you'd become. A beautiful, intelligent, wise young lady.
Michele: All thanks to you and dad. You raised me.
Vicky: We also raised Bridget. She's responsible for this.
Michele: No she's not mom. You can't blame her for what happened to me. It was an accident.
Vicky: She was so jealous of you.
Michele: I know, but she's sad, too. She never would kill me.
Vicky: I know she didn't kill you, but it's the things that she did before that.
Michele: I forgive her. I loved my twin sister with all my heart, and I know you do, too. You can't keep shutting her out mom.
Vicky: I'm not shutting Bridget out. I can't stand to look at her. If it weren't for her scheming, you'd probably be on your way to Columbia in the fall.
Michele: I was leaning toward Harvard, but I'm in a much better place now. I gotta go now.
Vicky (beginning to cry): No! Don't leave me here! Talk to me!
    Michele: I love you mom.
    Vicky: No! No!
    -------------------------------------------------------
Marley: I can't say that I agree with what you did.
Tyrone: It's gotten me one step closer to becoming D.A.
    Marley: I know that's what you've wanted.
Tyrone: Why does it have to cost so much?
    Marley: You did your job.
Tyrone: I did my job for a promise.
    Marley: What do you mean?
Tyrone: Grant promised he would appoint me D.A. when he runs for mayor.
Marley: No wonder you feel guilty. You practically made a deal with the devil.
Tyrone: My representation let Iris out of jail. There's no telling the havoc she's gonna wreak, and it will be on my head.
Marley: Now stop it. You cannot blame yourself for Iris's actions. Whatever bad things she does, she will pay for.
    ---------------------------------------------------------
Dante: Hey I'm gonna head to the library.
Elizabeth: I wonder where Cory is.
Dante: Looks like he's coming now.
Cory (approaching the table): Hey Dante.
Dante: What's going on Cory? I was just leaving. Lizzie text me.
Elizabeth (watching Dante leave): He's so cool. He's grown up to be a real cool guy.
    Cory: Yeah definitely.
Elizabeth: So you said this was important...why here? I could've come home.
Cory: Mom wanted to meet us both. She said she was gonna be down here.
Elizabeth: She never asks to meet us here.
    Cory: Must be serious.
    Iris walks up to them.
    Iris: Hi.
Elizabeth: Hello? Can we help you?
Iris: You must be Elizabeth, and you're Cory.
Cory: How do you know us?
Iris: Well it's finally good to meet you both.
    Elizabeth: And you are?

Rachel is on the phone in her office looking on her computer when Amanda walks in.
    Rachel: Oh my God.
    Amanda: Mom what's wrong?
Rachel: The buyouts went through. We are in big big trouble.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    REGINALD'S SUITE
Reginald sips on brandy, and Iris hangs up her cell phone.
    Iris: It's done.
Reginald: So the buyouts went through?
Iris: Yes sir. I just checked all my accounts, and the money is there. You know what I feel like celebrating. Let's propose a toast.
    Reginald: To what?
Iris: My daddy's company is on the fast track to being mine.
Meanwhile outside the door, Allen gets ready to knock on the door, but all he can think about his kiss and sex with Amanda, and knocks on the door. Reginald answers and Allen walks in.
Reginald: Allen what are you doing here?
Allen: You gotta call it off.
Reginald: If you're talking about our plan, well...
Iris: That train has long left the station.
Reginald: Interesting though...why the sudden change of heart?
Iris: You know what, I'm gonna give you two some privacy.
Reginald: Allen you have done so well. Our plan is working.
Allen: I don't want to be part of this anymore. I want out.
Reginald: Well that's just not possible.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cass gives Lindsay a bottled water.
Cass: So when did you get in?
    Lindsay: Oh a few days.
Cass: So after a few days you decided to come see your uncle?
Lindsay: It's the first chance I had. Come on.
Cass: Oh ok I'll let you pass this time.
Lindsay: I heard Charlie was back.
Cass: Yep your cousin's back in town.
    Lindsay: How's she doing?
Cass: She's living with me, and working at Tops.
Lindsay: You know I'm working at the hospital doing physical therapy.
    Cass: That's great.
Lindsay: I'm Greg Hudson's physical therapist.
    Cass: Oh.
Lindsay: You didn't sound too enthused about it.
Cass: He was driving the car that struck and killed Michele McKinnon. Her memorial's tomorrow.
    Lindsay: Oh my God. Wow.
Cass: Why don't you...come with Charlie and me?
Lindsay: Wow. I mean nobody knows me. I don't...
    Cass: You must be working...
    Lindsay: No I'm off tomorrow.
Cass: At least you get to know some folks in town.
Lindsay: I would probably do that at a social gathering, not a memorial.
Cass: I'm just lookin' out for you. Your mother would kill me if I didn't.
Lindsay: I don't care what she thinks.
    Cass: How is Stacey?
Lindsay: I'm sure she's doing just fine.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Amanda: What do you mean?
    Rachel: The buyouts were paid.
Amanda: And from the look on your face, we took a major hit.
Rachel: And I have no idea how we're going to recover the losses.
Amanda: We have before, and we will again.
Rachel: I don't know about this one Amanda. I've let your father down.
    Amanda: Mom don't say that.
Rachel: It's true. This company can't survive the way it's going. Mac built this company from the ground up, and I can't keep it running. We might to consider...
    Amanda: You can't mean...
Rachel: Cory Publishing may have to go up for sale.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Allen: I don't want anyone to get hurt.
Reginald: Have you developed a soft spot for Rachel?
Allen: Absolutely not. She's a controlling, overbearing bitch.
    Reginald: Oh...so if it's not Rachel it's...Amanda. Don't tell me you've....
Allen: Can you call this thing off please?
Reginald: I had a feeling you would get unfocused.
Allen: Amanda's a good woman. She doesn't deserve to be hurt by this.
Reginald: I apologize, but collateral damage is a necessary evil. I strongly suggest you refocus...if you ever want to see your mother again.
    Allen: My mother's getting better.
Reginald: You know what I can do, and as I said, you'd better focus on the goal, and turn off your feelings for Amanda.

    FELICIA REASSURES CASS

    In this episode

    WINTHROPS HOUSE

Cass opens the door and Felicia walks in. They exchange hellos and greet each other with kisses.

    Cass: You’re absolutely glowing.

    Felicia: How could you tell?

Cass: I haven’t seen a grin like that since your wedding to Mitch…wait a second.

Felicia shows him her engagement ring.

    Cass: Wow. Congratulations!

They hug and Felicia then asks him to give her away at her wedding, and he willingly agrees.

Felicia: Tell me what’s going on with you.

Cass: It’s not me I’m worried about. It’s Frankie and Charlie…and their strained relationship.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    CORY HOUSE

Rachel is in the living room when Elizabeth walks in.

    Rachel: Hi honey.

Elizabeth: I’m headed to the Center to meet Dante. We’re gonna go to the library to study.

    Rachel: Is that right?

Elizabeth: Yes mom. Would it be anything else?

    Rachel: I’m not sure.

    Mitch walks in.

Elizabeth: Talk about uncertainty. Hi Mr. Blake. Bye mom.

Rachel: Mitch. Nice of you to stop by. Felicia told me about your wedding. Congratulations.

Mitch: Thank you. You look like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.

    Rachel: That’s because it is.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    BAY CITY CENTER

Bridget is on her cell phone.

Bridget: You’re on an assignment. Don’t worry I won’t tell mom. I haven’t even heard from her. I wish she would, too. Love you dad.

Bridget hangs up and looks up and sees Dante.

    Dante: Hey. Anyone sitting here?

    Bridget: No sit down.

    Dante: How have you been?

Bridget: Good considering my sister died, and everybody except my dad and Aunt Marley holds me in responsible.

Dante: I saw what your mom said to you at the Memorial. That must suck.

Bridget: Gee thanks Dante. How are you and Elizabeth?

Dante: We’re good. We’re meeting here.

Bridget: Well I probably better go because she totally hates me.

    Elizabeth walks up to them.

Elizabeth: Wow Bridget that’s the most sensible thing you’ve ever said.

Dante: Come on Lizzie don’t start.

Elizabeth: I can’t believe you’re even sitting at the same table with this lying, scheming bitch.

    Dante: That’s enough alright!

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Felicia: It must hurt you to see them at odds.

Cass: Especially when I have the fondest memories of us being a family.

Felicia: Frankie stayed away, and Charlie is understandably hurt by that, and I know you are, too.

Cass: They need each other. Charlie needs her mother, and Frankie needs her daughter.

Felicia: What do YOU need Cass? I know you still love Frankie.

Cass: I will always love her, but so much time has passed Felicia. I don’t know if a redux is in the cards. I just want her and Charlie to patch things up.

Felicia: If it’s any consolation, Lorna and I couldn’t be any closer, but it sure didn’t start off that way.

    Cass: I know.

Felicia: Lorna was so angry at me for such a long time, but we made amends, and I’m sure that Frankie and Charlie will do the same.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Mitch: What’s going on?

Rachel: I’m gonna have to sell Cory Publishing.

Mitch: Whoa. Have you exhausted all options?

Rachel: Of course I have. I have done everything I can to save Mac’s company, and there’s just nothing else I can do right now. We had to buy out several contracts and it just put us in such a hole.

Mitch: Wow Rachel I’m so sorry. I know how much it meant to you. It’s like keeping Mac’s memory alive.

Rachel: Now I have to sell it or declare Chapter 11.

Mitch: My God. If there’s anything I can do.

Rachel: Enough about me and my troubles. You’ve got a wedding coming up.

Mitch: Yes. I…I came here because I wanted to know if you could…

Rachel: Call Matthew? I already have. He said he will not be able to make it.

    Rachel’s cell phone rings.
    Rachel: Hello? Okay. Thank you.
    Mitch: Who was that?
Rachel: That was my publicist. I’m having a press conference this week.
    Mitch: No.
Rachel: Yes. I’m announcing the sale of Cory Publishing.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Elizabeth: OMG are you really defending her right now?

Dante: She just buried her sister. Will you cut her some slack?

Elizabeth: Why should I? All she did was try to get my brother drunk at the prom and push her own sister in front of Gregory’s car.

Bridget jumps up and approaches Elizabeth.

    Bridget: I didn’t push her!

Elizabeth: Really? You got what you wanted though. You got your sister out of the way so you can be the center of attention, but it didn’t work! Your own mother doesn’t want anything to do with you!

Bridget slaps Elizabeth, and Elizabeth slaps her back. The two begin fighting, and Dante separates them.

Dante: Get off of her Lizzie!

Dante turns to Bridget and asks if she’s okay, and Elizabeth can’t believe it.

Bridget: I’m not taking any more of your abuse Elizabeth! Game on!

Elizabeth: You stay away from Dante and my brother!

Dante: Lizzie I think you need to go.

Elizabeth: Wow Bridget. You got my brother and Dante coming to your rescue because your mother disowned you? Clever.

Dante asks Bridget if she’s gonna be alright. “Yes.” She says.

    Dante: Let’s go Lizzie.

Bridget: Elizabeth Hutchins is not gonna push me around any more.

    Jake Walks Out on Vicky!!!

IN THIS EPISODE: Jake, Vicky, Tyrone, Donna, Marley, Allen, Iris, Dante

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    MCKINNONS HOUSE
VICKY SITS IN THE LIVING ROOM WITH A BLANK STARE ON HER FACE, AND JAKE SURPRISES HER…
Vicky: What are you doing with that?
Jake: I'm taking Mary to the airport, and I’m moving out
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
    LOVE MANSION
DONNA, TYRONE, and MARLEY are in the LIVING ROOM…
DONNA: She was so young. It doesn’t even seem real.
MARLEY: I know. I can’t believe what Vicky said though. That’s more unreal.
TYRONE: She’s hurting. She’ll forgive Bridget.
MARLEY: From the way Vicky sounded, you never know. I’m gonna go over there and talk to her. Are you gonna be okay Donna?
    TYRONE: I’ll stay with her.
MARLEY (kissing Tyrone): I’ll see you later hun.
MARLEY LEAVES WITHOUT HER CAR KEYS, WHICH ARE ON THE COUCH. EVERYONE IS UNAWARE. MARLEY WALKS OUT OF THE DOOR, AND ALLEN WATCHES HER FROM THE BUSHES, AND TURNS HIS ATTENTIONS BACK INSIDE, WHERE HE GETS A GOOD VIEW OF TYRONE AND DONNA.
DONNA: It seems that you and Marley are in a better place.
TYRONE: Yes I’d say so. We’re getting better. She seems to be getting better.
DONNA: That’s great. At least someone in my family is happy.
    TYRONE: Where’s Bridget?
    DONNA: Upstairs.
TYRONE: She’s living with you now huh?
DONNA: I’m doing this for Vicky, but I really think Bridget should be home.
TYRONE: After what Vicky said at the memorial, I think Bridget is the last person she wants to see.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    VICKY: Are you serious?
JAKE (angrily): You embarrassed us at the memorial! It was supposed to be for Michele and you made it about your anger toward Bridget and Gregory!
VICKY: If she hadn’t schemed and connived, then Michele might still be here today!
    JAKE: Bridget didn’t kill her!
VICKY: I had to bury my daughter today…because of my other daughter.
JAKE: Did you ever stop to think that I lost a child, too? I’m hurting, too. Do you even notice that? No Vick, you are a one woman wrecking crew, and your anger toward Bridget is gonna destroy this family.
VICKY: Did YOU ever stop to think that Bridget hasn’t taken any responsibility for what she’s done? She tried to get Cory Hutchins DRUNK at the prom! It doesn’t scare you what kind of person she’s turning into?
JAKE: What I’m more afraid of is how our family is crumbling.
VICKY: You’re talking about destroying our family, and YOU’RE the one walking out!
JAKE: I want you to call Bridget and move her back in here, and you take back everything you said about disowning her. If you do that, I won’t leave.
VICKY GIVES JAKE A BLANK STARE. “Right, just like I thought.” Jake says as he leaves with his suitcase.

DANTE IS CLOSING A BOOK AND PACKING UP HIS KNAPSACK. WHEN HE GETS UP, IRIS APPROACHES.
    IRIS: Hello.
    DANTE: Can I help you…Iris?
IRIS: So you know who I am?
    DANTE: Yeah you’re my aunt.
DANTE TRIES TO LEAVE BUT IRIS STOPS HIM…
IRIS: I wonder what your mother has said about me.
    DANTE: Look I gotta go.
IRIS: No wait. Why don’t we sit? Get to know each other. After all, we ARE family.
DANTE: Look I know what you’re all about okay. I’m not gonna sit and have anything with you. I know you tried to have Cory and Elizabeth’s father killed, and you weren’t very nice to my mom when she came to Bay City, so I have nothing to say to you okay.
DANTE LEAVES IRIS STANDING IN HER PLACE.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DONNA: I’m so scared Tyrone. I hate seeing my family suffer like this.
TYRONE: I don’t think you should worry too much about it. Everybody’s gonna be fine.
DONNA: How can I not worry? Vicky’s hurting. My grandchild is dead. Vicky disowned her daughter in front of everyone. Everything is just spinning out of control.
DONNA BECOMES A BIT DISTRAUGHT AND TYRONE EMBRACES HER.
TYRONE: Everything’s gonna be okay. I promise you.
MEANWHILE, ALLEN IS OUTSIDE THE WINDOW, AND HE TAKES A PICTURE.
ALLEN: You’re giving yourself all the rope I need Ty…to hang your ass.
MARLEY WALKS IN AND SEES TYRONE AND DONNA EMBRACING.

    In this episode

    MCKINNONS HOUSE
Vicky opens the door, and Marley walks in...and Marley tenderly hugs her sister.
    Marley: How can I help?
Vicky (crying): You being here is enough. I have nobody.
Marley: That’s not true. You have me.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    LOVE MANSION
Bridget walks in and Donna quickly approaches her.
    Donna: Where have you been?
Bridget: I got a ride home from school.
Donna: Maybe I need to have a driver waiting for you outside.
Bridget: Oh my God, are you gonna have people watching me now?
Donna: Apparently that’s what you need because you were supposed to be home an hour ago. I am not gonna have you walking in here whenever you feel like it.
Bridget: Then maybe I need to move out!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    HUDSONS HOUSE
Frankie sits on the couch next to Sharlene.
    Sharlene: Oh my God.
Frankie: I just found out myself. She wants me to come see her, and I want you to come with me.
Sharlene: Of course. I wanna see my sister.
Frankie: It sounded like she wants to tell me something.
Sharlene: She must be near the end.
Frankie: I knew she had been sick, but I didn’t even think that it might get worse…and now I think she wants to tell me something.
Sharlene: Let me get my purse. We gotta go.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Vicky: I’m sorry I…I didn’t mean it like that…
Marley: I understand. Jake and Bridget are not here.
Vicky: Jake went out of town.
Marley: At a time like this? Where did he go?
Vicky: I have no idea. He didn’t tell me, and he hasn’t even called.
    Marley: I can’t imagine a reason why he wouldn’t.
Vicky: Because he can’t stand to be in the same room with me.
Marley: Could it have something to do with Bridget living at Donna’s?
Vicky (sarcastically): How did you guess?
Marley: You disowned her in front of everyone at Michele’s memorial.
Vicky: You don’t understand Marley. When I look at her, and know what she’s done, she reminds of me of me back then. It’s scary.
Marley: But don’t you think she’s grieving, too? When I…locked you in that basement, I never ever wanted you to die, and I don’t think Bridget wanted Michele to die either, despite what she had done previously.
Vicky: The situations don’t compare. I forgave you for that. Michele is not going to be able to forgive Bridget. Michele is dead.
Marley: And you sent her to live with Donna, and now Jake is gone.
Vicky: He said he will come back if I let Bridget back in.
Marley: You probably should do that…for the sake of your family. You and Jake have a great marriage. Don’t throw it away because of your pride. Your daughter and your husband need you…and you need them. Don’t let it tear you and Jake apart.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Donna: And where are you gonna go Bridget? Back home? Your Aunt Marley’s?
Bridget: You forgot about Grandpa Reginald.
Donna: Marley and my father do not have any room for you, and your mother doesn’t want you back home.
    Bridget: Don’t remind me.
Donna: Bridget this is for your own good. I have to be tough with you.
Bridget: You’re doing this because you think I’m responsible for Michele’s death.
Donna: I’m doing this because I don’t want you to make the same mistakes that I and your mother made when we were your age.
    Bridget: I’m going upstairs.
Donna (grabbing her arm, and eyes welling up): You wait. I want so much better for you, that’s why I’m tough on you now. You will understand it later.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

John is with Sharlene in the living room.
    John: I’m sorry about Emma.
Sharlene: It’s our chance to say goodbye to her. She’s been sick for a while.
    John: Give Frankie my condolences.
Sharlene: She’s waiting for me in the car.
John kisses his wife. “Drive safely and call me when you get there.” He says. Sharlene leaves the house, and John takes out his cell phone, and calls Dr. Taylor.
John: It went well? Good? I can’t have her remembering anything. Thank you.

Lindsay: Oh you have nothing to be sorry for. I understand.
Gregory: I was using steroids so I could get an advantage on the football field at school, and I got rages because of them.
    Lindsay: We’ve all made mistakes.
Gregory: Without my mom and dad I don’t know where I’d be. Where’s your mom?
Lindsay: Not sure. I guess she’s fine.
Gregory: I haven’t heard you once talk about her.

    Lindsay: Because you can’t.
    Gregory: Try me.
Lindsay: Look you can’t do anything about it. My mom and I don’t speak and that’s it!
As Lindsay takes a sip of her coffee, she accidentally spills some on Greg’s right leg, and he flinches and kicks.
    Gregory: Geesh that’s hot!

Reginald: And how do I fit into this equation?
Rachel: I want to sell it to you.
Reginald: Wow Rachel. That’s kind of huge.
Rachel: Not really. I think you’re more than capable of handling it.
Reginald: So you’re just gonna sell the company that your late husband Mac built from the ground up?
Rachel: This wasn’t an easy decision to come to, but this is business.
Rachel gives Reginald a thick envelope.
Rachel: Why don’t you have your lawyers review these contracts…I can tell you one stipulation that’s in it.
    Reginald: What would that be?
Rachel: If I sell this company to you, you cannot turn around and sell it to Iris.

Tyrone: I don’t know if I should not.
Allen: I called you because you’re good, and you’re gonna get me out of here.
    Toni: Y’all know each other?
Tyrone: Why should I do that?
    Allen: That’s what brothers do.
Toni: Okay what’s going on here?

    Receptionist: Umm…hello?
Jake: Can you tell me where the Human Resources office is? I was supposed to have an interview today.
    Receptionist (curious): For which position?
    Jake: Security.
Receptionist: Oh. That’s on the fifth floor. The elevators are right down the hall.
Jake: Oh can you show me where the stairs are?
Receptionist: You’re gonna take the stairs?
    Jake: I’m claustrophobic and…I can’t ride elevators.
Receptionist: The stairs are right next to the elevators.
Jake: I’m sorry…I have no sense of direction whatsoever. Can you walk me to the stairs?
Receptionist: I can’t leave this desk sir.
Jake: Come on it will only take five minutes.
Receptionist: Look I told you where they were. I can’t leave the desk.
Jake: Well then let me speak to your supervisor.
Receptionist: No…no…I’m already on a written warning, and one more complaint and I could be fired.
Jake: I won’t complain if you walk me to those stairs.
The receptionist gets up and walks out of the office with Jake, but leaves her computer up, and Frankie quickly runs in and brings up the account number on the bill that Allen had, but it does not tell her the name of the occupant. “Room 1030.” She says.

    Allen: How’s everything going bro?
Tyrone: We haven’t spoken in years. Now all of a sudden you need my expertise?

Tyrone: You’ve been in Bay City all this time and you haven’t bothered to contact me til now. Why?
Allen: Because you’re gonna help me beat these charges.
    Tyrone: And if I don’t?
Allen: Well then God help you.
Tyrone: What the hell are you talking about?
Allen: You’ve been seeing Donna haven’t you?
Tyrone: What are you suggesting? I would never cheat on Marley.
Allen: Well, bro, I’ve got evidence that would suggest the contrary.
Tyrone: You leave Marley out of this!!!
Allen: I will…if you represent me.
Tyrone: What are you up to?

Reginald: Well not careful enough apparently.
Allen: After all I’ve done for you, you’re gonna just leave me here?
Reginald: Why should I help you, when I don’t have any guarantees, except that your mother will stay at where she is.
Allen: I’ve done everything you’ve asked! Now let her out! You and I both know she’s not sick, and she shouldn’t even be staying in that hospital.

    Paulina: What is it?
Grant: I have to go out of town for a few days.
    Paulina: Campaign stuff?
Grant: Yes. I’m so sorry. I will hurry back to be with you.
Paulina: I like the sound of that.
They kiss and Grant’s cell phone rings.
Grant: I have to take this.
Grant walks to a location out of Paulina’s earshot.
Grant: The jet’s ready. Okay. I’ll be at the tarmac in an hour

    JACK’S OFFICE
    Jack receives a phone call.
Jack: Hi honey (beat). I may have to go out of town for a few days. (beat) You know I can’t tell you. All I can say is we’re about to break a big case, then I will come home to you, Sage, and Dolores (beat). Love you, too Carly.

    ROOM
Two guards walk in. One guard brings Frankie in with Jake and Sharlene. The other guard has a gun, and Evan follows them.
Sharlene: What have you done to Frankie?
Evan: She’s fine Aunt Sharlene. I’d never hurt my own sister.
Jake: So Janice IS her biological mother.
Evan: Bingo Jake. You were always a smart cookie, if not a philandering one.
Jake: What are you gonna do with us?
    Evan: You’ll see.
Jake goes to attack Evan, but a guard points his gun at Jake, stopping him.
Evan: It was nice seeing you all.
Sharlene (after Evan leaves): He’s gonna leave us all to die isn’t he?

    ANOTHER WORLD EPISODE 66
    Reginald taunts Iris
    BAY CITY CENTER
Iris sits at a public computer browsing a newspaper article.
Iris (reading the article to herself): Heiress Alexandra Spaulding hospitalized with an apparent heart attack. She’s in critical condition. Nobody knows the cause of it. Wow I hope she’s okay.
Iris gets a welcome instant message.
    Iris: D.J.?
    She begins a I.M. conversation with D.J.
    D.J.: Hey grandma.
Iris: Hi Honey. How are you?
D.J.: I’m fine. I would hit you on video chat but dad’s in the other room.
    Iris: Is school out yet?
D.J.: Yep. I was hoping we could come to Bay City and hang out with you, but dad is being all mysterious about why we can’t.
Iris: I would love to have you and your sister come visit.
D.J.: Do you know why dad won’t let us see you?
In the middle of Iris typing her reply, she gets a video chat message request…from her son, Dennis.
Dennis (VO): Mom D.J. has chores that he has to do around the house.
Iris: He wants to come see me this summer.
    Dennis: Well he’s not coming.
Iris: Dennis please let me see my grandchildren. I haven’t seen them since…
Dennis: Since you were in prison. I don’t want them associated with a criminal.
Iris: They’re my grandkids. Please let me see them.
Dennis: I don’t want them anywhere near you.
Dennis ends the video chat session, and Iris is saddened, and as a tear rolls down her cheek, REginald hands her a tissue.
Iris (looking up): You stay the hell away from me!
Reginald: You look like you could use some cheering up. I’ve got good news for you.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    GRANT’S HOUSE
Grant opens the door and sees Tyrone.
    Grant: I’ve been expecting you.
Tyrone (walking in): Where have you been?
Grant flashes back to the moment where he shot Evan Frame.
Grant: I was simply ensuring your future as District Attorney.
Tyrone: And how the hell are you gon’ do that?
Grant: My methods are of no consequence to you. You’ll get what you want in the end. You’ll see.
Tyrone gets a phone call on his cell phone, and he ignores the call…
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ALLEN’S HOTEL ROOM
Allen is looking at his laptop. He has the flash drive that has pictures Tyrone and Donna in what looks like compromising positions.
Allen (dialing a number on his cell phone): Wassup Brother. I hope you workin’ on my case, cuz remember, I can destroy your marriage.
Someone knocks on the door, as Allen has left a message for Tyrone. He closes his laptop and answers the door, and gets a huge surprise…Marley.
    Allen: Who are you?
Marley: Hi…you don’t…know me. I’m Marley Montgomery. May I come in?
Allen: Why should I let you in here?
    Marley: Because we’re family.

    ALLEN AND MARLEY’S CONVERSATION CONTINUES
Marley: You know Tyrone hardly talked about you.
Allen: We haven’t always been close as brothers.
Marley: You were raised by your father and his mother, right?
Allen: Right. I looked at Priscilla as my mother, until I found out that Nicole was my real mother.
Marley: Welcome to the Love family. We are a chaotic bunch.
    Allen: As I’ve learned.
Marley: My mother told us the story.
    Allen: About Nicole?
Marley: Yes. My Aunt Nicole was quite a character. We have our own story, too. My twin sister and I were separated at birth.
Allen: Let me guess, Reginald did that, too.
Marley: He had my mother believing that Victoria was her sister, and not her daughter.
Allen looks nervously on as Marley walks toward his laptop.
Allen: Grandfather is quite a character.
Marley: I’ll say. You know I wish you had contacted us earlier.
Allen: Better late than never right?
Marley: Right. Well I’m gonna get going and uh…don’t be a stranger okay. I’d…like to get to know you better.
    Allen: Sure…
Grant: I know that Allen Love is your brother, and you might want to help him.
Tyrone: You know everything don’t you?
Grant: You being District Attorney can help him beat the corporate espionage charges that he’s facing.
Tyrone flashes back to Allen telling Tyrone about the pictures of him and Donna looking like they’re having an affair.
Tyrone: You’re right. Just make sure you come through on your end of the bargain Grant.
    Grant: You have my word.
Tyrone: I wonder how much that really means.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Iris: What would cheer me up is if you rot in hell.
Reginald: Oh come on Iris. I think you would like to hear what I have to tell you.
Iris: And what could that be? You reneged on your purchase of Cory Publishing! Buyer’s remorse.
    Reginald: Not quite.
Iris: Why should I believe anything you have to say?
    Reginald: Because Evan’s dead.
    Iris: He’s what?
Reginald: They found his body in his hotel room in St. Croix. You wouldn’t happen to have anything to do with it. Would you?
    Iris: Not out here.
    Reginald: They’re gonna start investigating.
Iris: I didn’t kill Evan Frame.
Reginald: Maybe not, but you DO know that his father is in a hospital down there, don’t you? Carl Hutchins is alive. Have you told Rachel?
    Iris: No…and you’re not either.
Reginald: It’ll be just a matter of time when Carl returns to Bay City, to resume his life that he took from Mac.
Iris: Damn him. He was better off dead, but Evan found a way to keep him alive. When he return, I’m gonna make him wish he stayed dead.

    Carl threatens Iris and Grant

    BAY CITY CENTER

Jack Snyder is on his cell phone with Carly.

Jack: I may have to stay in a hotel for a few days. I have a lot of work to do at the station.(beat). I had to take this job to support our family. (beat). I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you.

    He sees Vicky walking by.

    Jack: Vicky.

    Vicky: Jack, hi.

Jack: Do you mind joining me for a minute? We haven't talked in a while.

Vicky: Why not? I've got a few minutes.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    CORY MANSION

Elizabeth comes downstairs and sees Cory.

Elizabeth: I heard arguing. What was it all about?

Cory: WHo do you think? It was about dad.

    Elizabeth: I heard Amanda, too.

Cory: You heard right. I can't shake the feeling that she's telling the truth.

Elizabeth: What are you talking about?

Cory: Amanda told mom to face the truth about who dad really is. He always has an agenda, and he's somewhere carrying it out.

    -----------------------------------------------------

    IRIS'S SUITE

Carl is pointing a gun at Grant and Iris

Iris: You haven't changed at all. You're the same old scum who tried to kill my father.

Carl: And you claim that you loved Mac? You're the same lying bitch who tried to steal his company from him, not to mention that you tried to have me shot at my wedding to Rachel.

Iris: Daddy turned over in his grave the day Rachel married you, and you know nothing about my relationship with my father.

Carl: I do know about relationships with children, like the one you destroyed Grant when you finished off my son Ryan..and my other son Evan.

Iris: Evan is your son? He is Howard Battis's son.

Carl: No my dear...he's MY son.

    BAY CITY CENTER

Vicky: I saw you were on the phone. Was it Carly?

    Jack: Yes.

    Vicky: How's everything with that?

Jack: It's fine. It's just that I'm working an hour from Oakdale, and it doesn't make sense to go all the way home, just to get right back up and come back here.

Vicky: I've never been to Oakdale. I've heard a lot about it though. Especially James Stenbeck.

Jack: I wonder what you've heard.

VIcky: I wonder if I have time to tell you everything I've heard about your town. I would probably be here all night.

    They both laugh.

Jack: You seem a lot happier.

Vicky: I am. My husband and my daughter are back home. My son is the one I'm worried about.

    Jack: Why?

Vicky: He's running for mayor against his father, and I'm worried about what Grant will do to Kirkland to win the election.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    CORY MANSION
Elizabeth: Maybe dad wanted to go out and get some air.

Cory: Really Lizzie? I doubt that very seriously.

Elizabeth: I can't believe you're still thinking about what Iris said to us in the Center about dad.

Cory: It could be true. I don't see dad through rose colored glasses anymore. He's capable of some serious crimes.

Elizabeth: I don't care what Iris or Amanda says. I don't care what dad did in the past, I still love him.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    IRIS'S SUITE
Grant: I never meant to shoot Ryan at the train trestle. That happened over fifteen years ago. You need to move on. Didn't all your madness cause your brain tumor in the first place?

Carl: You smug, evil bastard. How can you stand there and justify killing Ryan and shooting Evan?

Grant: I had nothing to do with what happened to Evan?

Carl: I'll be watching you, waiting and plotting for the right moment to strike. You will never know the time or the place. I promise to take from you...what you took from me. My peace of mind, my tranquility...you took when you killed my son. Now it's your turn to suffer. ANd Iris, if you hurt any member of my family, I'll make you wish you pulled the plug when you had the chance.

Carl points his gun at Grant.

Carl: I should end your life right now.

Carl pulls the trigger and squirts Grant with water.

    Iris: A squirt gun?

Carl: Maybe you should have it replaced with bullets next time, Iris.

    Carl leaves.

Frankie is there when Kirkland walks in.
Frankie: Kirkland hi. How are you?
Kirkland (looking around): Wow I haven’t seen this office since I was little. My Uncle Ryan worked here with you right?
Frankie (smiling): He sure did. I’ll never forget him. Hey congratulations on your running for mayor.
    Kirkland: Thank you.
    Frankie: What brings you by?
Kirkland: That’s what I came to talk to you about.
Charlie walks in unheard by Kirkland.
Kirkland: I want you to dig into my father’s past.
    Charlie angrily accosts Kirkland.
    Charlie: Oh no you DON’T!
    Jake now walks in.
    Frankie: Charlie what’s wrong?
Charlie: He wants you to dig into Grant’s past so he can get revenge against him!
    Kirkland: Charlie come on…
Charlie: NO! I’m not gonna let you use my mother in your feud with your dad!
    Jake walks up to Kirkland.
    Jake: Kirkland is that true?

    Paulina answers the door…and it’s Jack Snyder…
    Paulina: Jack. Come in.
    Jack: How are you?
Paulina: I’m okay I suppose. Can I get you something?
    Jack: No…I suppose.
Paulina: What brings you to my house? I didn’t call the police.
Jack (smiling): I just wanted to drop by and see how you were doing. I didn’t hear from you for a little while.
Paulina: I’m fine, but you could’ve called and asked that. Why did you decide to drop by?
    Jack: Umm…cop’s instinct.
    Paulina (smiling): About what?

Paulina: You know what…you’re right. I’m not okay…at all.

Carl: You and my children kept me going. You kept me alive.
Rachel: We said good-bye to you. We all thought we would never see you again.
Carl: Evan kept me alive in the hospital.
Rachel: I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that he and Frankie are twins. I thought Howard Battis was Evan’s father.
Carl: Janice and I had a fling. She got pregnant and never told me. She passed Evan off as Howard’s baby, and her other egg was planted in Emma.

Charlie: Mom don’t take any job that he’s offering. All he wants is to get revenge on Grant.
Frankie: Grant moved heaven and earth to take him away from Vicky and Jake. I understand why he’s angry.
Charlie: I don’t. I was angry at you for so long, but when I saw Felicia’s crying over Mitch, I realized my grudge was petty.
Frankie: That’s commendable, but everybody’s not the same. Kirkland seems very angry at Grant.
Charlie: And I don’t want him using you to fuel his anger.
Frankie: I’m a big girl I can take care of myself. I guess what I would want to know is how deep are your feelings for Kirkland?
Charlie: I like him, but he has to give up this vendetta. I don’t want to be with someone consumed with anger like that.
    Frankie: Does he like you?
Charlie: Yeah I believe he does. Don’t get me wrong mom, I like him.

Jake: Can you tell me what’s going on buddy?
    Kirkland: I’m running for mayor.
Jake: To get back at Grant?
    Kirkland: Something like that.
Jake: So you’re telling me it has nothing to do with what Grant did when you were younger.
Kirkland: So what are you gonna do Jake? Are you gonna try to talk me out of it, too?
Jake: You can run for mayor, but not to get back at Grant. I mean if it were anyone else I’d say go for it, but Grant? You know how your father can be.
Kirkland: And that’s why I’ve gotta crush him. I’m gonna do what I need to do.
Jake: I think you need to be careful when it comes to Grant, especially on this level.
Kirkland: I can handle my dad. I want him to pay for what he’s done. He’s hurt so many people. He killed my uncle Ryan.
Jake: Kirkland it’s not….it’s not up to you to deal out justice. Let everything play itself out. You need to live your life. Seems like Charlie is really into you.
Kirkland: I don’t think so. She wants me to give up running for mayor.
Jake: She sees that it’s going to hurt you…and so do I. You can’t be like Grant. Vicky and I didn’t raise you that way.
Kirkland: Well I’m not that little boy anymore. You might have to get used to the fact that I can be just as ruthless and heartless as my dad.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    CORY MANSION
Carl and Rachel have made their way to the couch. Carl holds Rachel in his arms as they stare at the ceiling.
Rachel: How do you think Grant is involved in Evan’s death?
Carl: I don’t have any proof Rachel. Just a gut feeling.
Rachel: Well…we just got ya back. Are you gonna go on some revenge tirade like you did before?
Carl: I feel the same way now as I did after Ryan was killed.
Rachel: Evan was sick. He kidnapped Amanda, and his own sister.
Carl: He couldn’t have acted alone in carrying this out. Back and forth from Bay City to St. Croix. Someone was helping him.
Rachel: And you think that person was Grant?
Carl: I have no doubt in my mind. It’s time for Grant to pay…and he will…one way or the other.

    Jack: I didn’t think so. What’s wrong?
Paulina: Honestly it’s…getting a bit lonely around here.
    Jack: What about Dante?
Paulina: He’s going to the Police Academy, and there’s nothing I can do about it.
Jack: Well the Police Academy might be good for him.
Paulina: No it’s not Jack. There’s no way!
Jack: I mean I came out okay right?
Paulina: His father didn’t. My husband didn’t. I don’t want him to end up like Joe. He’s all I have left in Bay City.
Jack: He seems like a smart kid. He’ll be fine.
Paulina: Remy is living her life out of town. Joe’s dead. Now my son is going off to the Police Academy. It seems like every time I love someone, they leave me one way or the other.
    Jack: What about Grant?
    Grant listens more intently.
Paulina: Why would you ask me about Grant?
Jack: It’s just a question. You said you’re lonely and it seems like he has strong feelings for you.
Paulina: I’m taking that day by day.
Jack: That’s understandable after all the things he’s supposedly done.
Paulina: I’d like to think he’s changed, but there’s something not sitting right with me.
Jack: As I told you before, if you want me to help you, just say the word.

    MCKINNONS....

JAKE ARRIVES HOME AND VICKY IS SITTING ON THE COUCH

    Vicky: Honey what's wrong?

Jake: I'm thinking about my conversation with Kirkland.

Vicky: I take it didn't go well.

Jake: Not at all. I'm actually unsettled by it.

Vicky: I guess he told you.

Jake (curious to know what Vicky knows): Told me what?

Vicky: Oh...he's running for mayor against Grant.

Jake: And you're just telling me now?

Vicky: It was announced in the square. How could you not know?

    Jake: Never mind.

Vicky: I'm probably more unsettled by this as you are. We have to stop him.

Jake: Vic we can't do interfere? Kirkland's a grown man. He's gonna have to make his own mistakes.

Vicky: Grant is going to destroy him.

Jake: I don't think Grant's gonna do that to his son.

    GENOA CITY ATHLETIC CLUB

Kirkland sits at a stool and orders a drink from a handsome male bartender.

    Kirkland: Cognac on the rocks.

The two exchange a look and the bartender serves him.

Bartender: Haven't seen you around here before.

Kirkland (taking a sip): I...I don't live here.

    Bartender: Oh ok. Visiting?

    KIrkland: I'm meeting a friend.

Bartender: Well...kinda wish you lived here.

KIrkland (smiling): I might consider something like that.

Kirkland receives a text to go to room 540...

    Kirkland: That's my cue.

    Bartender: Your friend?

    Kirkland: Yep.

Kirkland slides the bartender a tip with a napkin underneath.

    Kirkland: Gotta go.

Meanwhile, an older MAN at the end of the bar makes a phone call...to Grant.

MAN: He's in the Athletic Club.

Grant: Well follow him. Find out what he's up to.

Carl and Rachel walk arm in arm.

Carl: This is a nice place they've built here. It wasn't here the last time I was here.

Rachel: Cory and Elizabeth come down here often, but I don't.

Carl: Why not? This is a beautiful place.

    Rachel (shivering): Oh.

    Carl: Are you alright?

Rachel: I got a chill suddenly.

    Carl: Are you cold?

Rachel: No. The chill went down my spine. Something's not right.

Meanwhile, someone is standing at the fountain, watching Carl and Rachel. Mitch walks in front of the person.

    Mitch: Sharlene?

    No response.

Vicky: I'm not gonna let Grant hurt my son.

Jake: I get the feeling that Kirkland will be just fine.

Vicky: Kirkland will NOT be fine. When it comes to politics, Grant will do whatever it takes to win, even if it means hurting Kirkland.

Grant will try to crush him. I'm not gonna stand by and watch it happen.

Jake: Whatever happens to Kirkland, it will be of his own doing.

Vicky: I can't believe what I'm hearing this from you.

Jake: Kirkland knew exactly what he got into when he decided to join this race for mayor.

Vicky: You think that we should stand by and watch Grant try to destroy our son? I'm not.

Jake: You're not gonna have a choice Vicky. Kirkland wants to do this..

Vicky: He doesn't know how ruthless Grant can be.

Jake: You don't know how ruthless Kirkland can be.

    Vicky: What are you saying?

Jake: You should've seen the look in his eyes when he talked about getting back at Grant. He was extremely determined. I couldn't believe when I saw it. He's not the sweet little boy we raised. He is different. He's changed.

    Vicky: You're wrong.

Jake: I'm not wrong. He's gonna be fine, because he's just like Grant. A chip off the old block.

Kirkland walks into room 540 at the Genoa City Athletic Club and meets with Paul Williams, private investigator.

    Kirkland: Paul Williams.

Paul (giving Kirkland a folder): This is what my contacts found on your father.

Kirkland (looking over the folder's contents): Your reputation precedes you.

    Paul: Hope it helps.

Kirkland: Oh it's gonna help tremedously.

Kirkland gives Paul an envelope full of money.

Kirkland: I really appreciate this Paul.

Paul: Good luck in your election.

Paul walks out and shuts the door, and Kirkland places the envelope on the desk. Someone knocks on the door, and it's the male bartender.

Kirkland: I thought you wouldn't get my little hint.

Bartender (walking in with Kirkland shutting the door behind him): Come on, I'm not new to the game.

    Kirkland: I see...you're hot.

Bartender: I figured since you're only going to be here a short time, I might as well make worth your while.

The Bartender starts to unbutton his shirt....

    Rachel declares war on Iris

    HUDSONS HOUSE

John and Gregory walk downstairs with suitcases. Gregory reads a text from Lindsay…

    Lindsay: Can we please talk?

Gregory erases the text and the missed calls from Lindsay. Sharlene meets them at the bottom of the stairs.

Sharlene: I hope everything is okay with Clara.

John: It might be one of the last times we see her lucid. Her dementia’s getting worse.

Sharlene: She’s lived a long time, and I’m sorry that it’s come to this.

John: This isn’t unexpected but it still hurts. She played the peacemaker between Michael and me.

Gregory: Are you gonna be okay mom?

Sharlene: I’m a big girl. I can take of myself.

    Gregory: Okay mom.

Sharlene: Give your grandma Clara a big kiss for me.

Gregory: Of course mom. Love you.

    John kisses Sharlene.

John: I’ll call you when we arrive.

    Sharlene: Okay. Be safe.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After they leave, Sharlene sends a text to Mitch to meet her at the Center.

    AT THE BLAKES…

Mitch puts on his jacket after he receives his text.

    Felicia: Where are you going?

Mitch: I’m gonna stop by KBAY and edit this film.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    MCKINNONS HOUSE

Vicky opens the door. Marley walks in and Vicky does not shut the door.

Vicky: I didn’t know who else to call.

Marley: Is everything okay? It sounded important.

Vicky: Nothing seems to be ever be okay.

    Marley: What’s wrong?

Vicky: Everything. Just when Jake and I are putting things back together, something comes along and takes us apart again.

Marley: It might not be as bad as you think. You two got past Michele’s death earlier this year.

Vicky: You never get past losing a child. Most couples don’t make it.

Marley: You guys found your way back to each other.

Vicky: Jake could have another child, and we may not get through it this time.

Marley: Oh my God. You’re pregnant?

Vicky: No…Jake may have another daughter, and she’s living in Bay City.

COURTROOM – special appearances by Kim Rhodes (Cindy Brooke) and David Leisure (Judge Grayson)

Rachel walks into the courtroom with Cass, Paulina, and Carl and they sit at their bench in front of the judge. Carl sits behind Rachel and massages her shoulders in support of Rachel. Iris and Amanda are on the other side, and to everyone’s surprise, Cindy Brooke walks in with a briefcase and a purple suit.

Rachel: Cindy Brooke? What are you doing here?

Cindy: Surprised? I’m representing the contesting party. May the best team win.

    Paulina: That will be us.

Cindy: I wouldn’t be so sure Paulina.

The Bailiff walks out and says “ALL RISE! The honorable Judge Mark Grayson presiding.”

Judge Grayson: Have a seat. Counselor Brooke you called a hearing today?

    Cindy: Yes your honor.

Judge: Purple really looks nice on you.

Cindy (smiling): Thank you your honor. But we called this hearing because Cory Publishing was sold by Rachel Cory Hutchins without consent of Mac Cory’s children.

Cindy points to Rachel, “She’s right there.”

    Judge Grayson: Counselor Winthrop.

Cass: This will from Mac Cory states that the children only had to be notified. Mrs. Hutchins was not required to consult with them, and given Iris Wheeler’s history, Rachel did what she thought was best for Cory Publishing at the time.

Cindy: Your honor they were neither notified nor consulted. Mrs. Hutchins…Rachel…clearly violated the terms of her late husband’s will.

Judge Grayson: What are the plaintiffs seeking Counselor Brooke?

Cindy: They want what’s rightfully theirs.

Cass: We have signed affidavits from Matthew and Sandy Cory. They both agree that Iris should not get control of Cory Publishing.

Cass gives them to the bailiff, who gives them to the judge.

Cindy (countering): We have evidence that Mac’s last will, was not authenticated. The last authentic will that Mac wrote, left Cory Publishing to his eldest child in the event of his death.

Cindy gives the bailiff the said will, who gives it to the judge.

Rachel: That’s hogwash. Mac’s last will is legal.

Judge Grayson (banging his gavel): Order! I have a long docket today. I will review these and get back with my decision in fifteen minutes. You can take a short recess.

    BAY CITY CENTER
Mitch and Sharlene are sitting at a table.

Mitch: Have you had any more episodes?

Sharlene: Not since you saw me.

Mitch: You’ve gotta get some help Sharlene. Have you told John yet?

Sharlene: I haven’t had the chance to. He and Gregory left to see Clara this morning.

Mitch: You can’t keep this from John, and if you don’t get help it’s gonna get worse. She’s not gonna go away.

Sharlene: Janice is pushing me to let her out. She’s getting stronger. I don’t know how much longer I can hold her off.

Mitch: You can’t do this by yourself. That’s why you need to get help.

Carl and Rachel walk up to them.

    Rachel: Mitch, Sharlene hi.

Sharlene hears Janice’s voice in her mind…

Janice: Carl should be with ME, not Rachel. Let me out Sharlene.

    Mitch: Rachel. Carl.

Sharlene: Hi. What brings you out here?

    Rachel: Court.

    Carl: Cory Publishing stuff.

Rachel: Tell Felicia I’m gonna call her. We haven’t gotten together in a while.

    Mitch: Will do.

    MCKINNONS HOUSE

Marley: Oh my God. How do you know this?

Vicky: She’s Cass Winthrop’s niece. Stacey told me.

    Marley: Stacey? She’s her mother?

Vicky: When Jake went missing, he turned up in LA where she was living.

Marley: That’s when Jake lost his memory right?

Vicky: He had a relationship with Stacey and she got pregnant.

    Marley: Where’s the DNA test?

    Vicky: Lindsay has it.

Marley: So Lindsay is Jake’s daughter.

Vicky: Yes, and we can’t tell Jake.

    Jake walks in…

    Jake: Can’t tell me what?

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    COURTROOM

All are back in and Judge Grayson is at his bench…

Judge Grayson: I have carefully reviewed the letters, and Mackenzie Cory’s wills. The most recent will is indeed not authenticated, therefore its stipulations are null and void. That makes his last authenticated will the will in which Cory Publishing is distributed. He had adopted Matt, Amanda was not eighteen, there was still a question of Sandy Cory’s paternity, and Paulina he didn’t know about you. So to squelch any infighting, he left Cory Publishing and all of its assets, to his eldest child in the event of his death. That will is officially Mackenzie Cory’s last will and testament, therefore I award Cory Publishing to Iris Cory. Court is adjourned.

    Paulina: This can’t be happening!

Cindy jumps up and down and hugs Iris, who is not as animated.

Iris: Why are you hugging me?

    Cindy: We won! We won!

Amanda runs out of the courtroom humiliated as Iris peels Cindy off of her.

    Iris: Yes…we won.

    Rachel walks over to Iris.

    Rachel: You THINK you’ve won.

Iris: Cory Publishing is back in the family…where it belongs.

Rachel: You used my daughter to help you, just like I said you would.

Iris: You just make sure your things are out of my office in twenty four hours.

    Rachel: You conniving bitch.

Iris: Get over it old lady. The company’s mine. You heard the judge. THAT’S what daddy wanted.

Rachel: You think this is over? Think again.

    MCKINNONS

    Jake, Vicky, and Marley….

    Jake: Can’t tell me what?

Marley thinks fast and pulls out an invitation from her purse.

    Marley: The Harbor Club.

    Jake: Donna’s reopening it right?

Marley: And you are cordially invited.

Jake (suspicious): That’s what the big secret was? An invitation?

Vicky (interjecting): Yes. I was gonna wine and dine you with a romantic dinner before the club opened to everyone else.

    Marley: That’s right. She’s the owner’s daughter.

Vicky: It’s supposed to be a special evening for the both of us.

Marley: Well I gotta get to the doctor.

Jake: Vicky told me you guys are having a baby. Congratulations!

Marley: Thank you. If I don’t see you before the Harbor Club, I’ll see ya there.

Marley leaves and Vicky puts her arms on Jake’s shoulders.

    Vicky: How’s the Firm?

Jake: We’re not doing too well. We might have to close up.

Vicky: I’m sorry to hear that.

Jake: But I’m gonna put my private investigative skills to use. What’s really going on Vic?

    BAY CITY CENTER

Frankie is walking with a cup of coffee and Cass runs into her, and the coffee accidentally spills on Cass.

Frankie: Oh! Cass I’m so sorry.

Cass: It’s one of my better shirts. You’re paying for the dry cleaning.

    They both laugh…

Frankie: Hopefully I’ll have enough money for it.

Cass: You know I’m kidding Frankie. What’s going on?

Frankie: I’m kind of bummed about the firm. It’s not doing well. Other than that I’m fine.

Cass: Are you going to Harbor Club re-opening?

Frankie: I got an invitation but I hadn’t planned on going.

Cass: Are you….waiting for someone to ask you?

Frankie (smiling): No…but I could be persuaded.

    HOSPITAL

Allen is with Amanda as they wait with Nicole in the waiting area. Allen has his arm around Amanda’s shoulder.

Nicole: Are you two seeing each other?

    Allen: Yes.

Nicole: Well congratulations. You look like you make each other happy. The last time anyone made me happy was Cass…but that was a long time ago.

Allen: Amanda I’m sorry that the hearing didn’t turn out the way you wanted.

Amanda: I should have listened to my mother. I thought Iris would put our sisterhood above anything.

Allen: We’re talking about Iris here.

Amanda: You’re right. I should have known that Iris couldn’t be trusted.

Nicole: You can’t beat yourself over that.

A Doctor walks up to them…

Allen: Hey doc what’s going on? How’s my mother?

Doctor: I’m sorry. The cancer’s progressing.

    Allen: Well…uh…what can we do?

Doctor: We can try more aggressive treatments.

Nicole: No. I don’t want ANY more chemotherapy.

    HOSPITAL

Marley is in her Dr. Lewis’s office, and he comes in to talk to her.

Dr. Lewis: Everything’s fine Mrs. Montgomery.

    Marley: Good.

Dr. Lewis: Just keep the stress level to a minimum. With your age and ramifications of the smoke inhalation and your plastic surgery, you realize that this is a high risk pregnancy.

Marley: I somehow knew that fire would come back to haunt me later in life.

Dr. Lewis: I don’t mean to be a downer, but as your doctor I have to give you proper warning.

    Marley: Thank you doctor.

    BAY CITY CENTER
Cass and Frankie sit at a table.

Frankie: You know Charlie and I have gotten closer lately.

Cass: I am so glad that you two patched things up.

Frankie: Kirkland Harrison came into the office and asked if I investigate Grant, and then Charlie burst in and demanded that I not take his case. So I didn’t.

Cass: Why not? It would have paid pretty well.

Frankie: I did it for our daughter. I don’t want anything to ruin our relationship.

Cass: I would agree with that, but you never answered my question.

Frankie: I don’t recall you asking one.

Cass: Alright fair enough. Will you go out with me to the grand re-opening of the Harbor Club?

    Frankie (smiling): Yes I will.

    MCKINNONS.

Vicky: Nothing. I just wanted to surprise you.

Jake: Are you sure that’s all that’s going on?

    Vicky: Yep…that’s it.

Vicky kisses Jake on his lips.

Jake: So Donna finally got the funding she needed to open the Harbor Club back up?

Vicky: Yep…she did, but there’s one little caveat to all of that.

    Jake: What is it?

Vicky: Grandfather is the sole investor.

Jake: I thought she would have had other ones lined up.

Vicky: He bought them all out.

Jake: Wow. Donna can’t be happy about that at all. I wish Bridget would see what Reginald really is.

Vicky: Right. He’s been toying with our lives for as long as I can remember, and I think Donna is mad as hell.

Jake: Her and Nicole. Do you think Donna’s gonna do something?

Vicky: I don’t know, but after everything Reginald has done, he’s gonna pay at some point.

    HOSPITAL

    Allen: Why?

Nicole: I can’t go through this again. It seems like every five minutes I want to vomit. I feel tired all the time. I don’t wanna go through that again.

Allen: You sound like you wanna give up. We just found each other.

Nicole: I’m not giving up…just letting go.

    Allen becomes angry.

Allen: Damn REGINALD! This is all HIS fault!

Amanda: Maybe we should give Nicole a moment to think about it.

Allen: Mom please…do the aggressive chemo. I don’t want to lose you.

Amanda: Come on Allen. Let’s go.

Amanda and Allen walk outside of the waiting area, and Allen continues to express his anger.

Allen: Reginald did this to my mother.

Amanda: I know but you’ve got to calm down.

Allen: Mom doesn’t want to fight Reginald anymore, that’s why she wants to give up. Maybe she’ll want to live if I take him out.

Amanda: Now you STOP it! You cannot threaten to kill Reginald again.

    Allen: Again?

Amanda: I heard you the first time you threatened his life. You’ve got to focus on helping Nicole.

Allen: Getting rid of Reginald WILL help her.
