  1. It's hard to let go of something you've lived with and loved for so long, isn't it? Even though you know deep down that it won't get any better, only worse, you still cannot let go of that tiny little sliver of hope that somehow, someday things will improve.....
  2. He's done that to practically every character on the show though. This show is a complete mess, and as long as Brad Bell stays in charge that's not gonna change. Frankly I don't see a way out anymore except cancellation. The whole show is gutted beyond salvation.
  3. Right now when his presence could actually mean something! Brad Bell is so out of touch.
  4. I'm not surprised that you haven't seen her. She was only on the show for about 4-5 months and had maybe two dozen appearances. But I liked her. She had a bright, positive energy which reminds me a little of Katharine Barker's Dolly a few years later. I wish they would have done more with her character, but then again the show was very much centred around the farm at this stage, so that left very little for her to do.
  5. R.I.P. A fine man who did a lot of good things for the world. I know that he was excited about voting for Kamala Harris, and I'm sad that it didn't turn out the way he (and many more) wished it had.
  6. Olivia also had the daunting task of portraying none other than the Virgin Mary, again under the direction of Franco Zeffirelli, in what is arguably the best presentation of the life of Jesus.
  7. I just found out that Joanna Tope, who played Dr. Clare Scott on Emmerdale Farm in 1973, died recently at the age of 80. R.I.P.
  8. Here Olivia Hussey's most famous role is unquestionably Rebecca in "Ivanhoe" opposite Anthony Andrews. It has been aired almost every New Year's day for close to 40 years now.
  9. Poor Rebecca Budig almost looks like a mini-person in that picture. It's such a shame to waste her like this with this horrible recasting.
  10. To be fair, he has no idea what to do with any of the characters, not just the new/recast/aged up or down...
  11. I think that is the most perfect description I've seen.
  12. Episode 110, and a milestone in Emmerdale Farm history: Amos and Henry agree to buy the Woolpack together. The beginning of a legendary double-act.
  13. And considering the state this show is in that is really saying something.
