  1. Thanks balozier. I appreciate your sharing that link. That would have been a lot to lose.
  2. That's horrible! I love the EON homepage. I learned a lot there, it is hands down the best website for any soap opera. They had so much information.
  3. Same here. This seems to be the best time to bring Scott back. Bring on some more Qs and have Scott and Heather scheme against them again.
  4. Thanks for sharing your opinion Carl. I just can't get caught up in those characters and I usually like the mother figures/vets the most. I just find them boring and out of place. That sounds harsh though, but when I compare them to characters of today, I would take themm.
  5. Did they ever bring the sister on? I actually love Amber so I wouldn't have minded her having a sister.
  6. What did you all think of Bea Reardon and Barbara Thorpe? Neither actress is horrible, I just can't seem to get caught up in their scenes.
  7. She still looks great! I wish Donna could have stuck around though her story had run out.
  8. SEARCH was doing so well for the networks to allow the show to tank the way it did. It's quiet sad for such a wonderful show to be mishandled.
  9. Thanks so much Carl for sharing these. I love seeing the ratings from these times. They really do fluctuate a lot too, but when you actually had a lot of soaps on doing their best, I suppose I can understand that because there are so many I would be watching myself.
  10. I was wondering the same thing. WeLoveSoaps posted several of them and One Life was the only one without it. They do such a great job recapping the shoows stories.
  11. Thank you so much for sharing that saynotoursoap. July 1973 was truly an action-packed month. I would rather see reruns of the classics than new episodes at this point.
  12. Was anything big going on for GH around that time? I am surprised to see them leading in the ratings. I thought the only time they reached number 1 then was when Audrey stood trial for murder?
  13. Its so cool to have their first airdates, thanks for sharing. I wonder if this means Al Freeman actually joined in 1971.
  14. Is there a website that recaps Passions storylines? I have been looking for one but can't find anywhere that does.
  15. Thanks for posting that. Its nice to see an interview from earlier in her career. I have always loved her work and she seems so kind in real life too.
  16. That is a little weird. From what I know, she had been more of a recurring character, although equally important in story through Brad, Karen, Jenny and the baby. Also, the Clint and Echo story would soon be on and he would stand trial for "murder".
  17. Thanks for posting more of the recaps Carl. I see this is the beginning of the end for Pat and another odd period for the show. Considering Karen was about to become a hooker and Lana would soon kill herself, it is off someone would write to them.
  18. If I'm not mistaken, I think that Bill stayed with B&B into 1995 as executive producer, then Brad took everything over and as you said, that's when you could really tell.
  19. I love this storyline! I wish more of it was posted. I know Dorian's side of it is, but not Tina's. And later, Asa and Tina had to work together to save Kate and Cord when they returned to get treasure. Those scenes must have been awesome, I love the idea of Tina and Asa working together.
  20. Does anyone know anything about a Karen and Dorian cat fight? I have heard a few things but was never sure it actually happened.
  21. In 1977, Rita was pursued by Peter Chapman, but she pushed him away and he turned to Holly. In 1978, Peter and Holly's happiness was threatened by his guilt for not saving a drowning girl, Linnette Waterman in Santo Domingo where he was engaged to her sister, Maya. Peter returned to SD, found peace and reconciled with Maya, but she felt out of place in Springfield and left him. By the way, they filmed the underwater scenes of Peter in Nassau, the first underwater scenes ever on a soap. By 1980, Holly and Peter reconciled, but she ended their engagement when she left town and he reconciled with Maya and returned to Santo Domingo.
  22. I was thinking about all of the characters written out between 1980-1985 and I was shocked at how many and who they were. I included characters who left because of the actor. Roger and Holly-1980 Rita, MH Ed, Diane and Elizabeth-1981 Jackie, Carrie-1982 Justin, Sara, Ben, Eve, Amanda, Jennifer, Bill, Hope, Adam-1983 Bert, PS Ed, Mike, Hillary-1984 Quint, Nola, Annabelle, Tony, Katie, Floyd, Trish-1985. Did I miss anyone? And I have to say the fact that so many important vets and characters/actors who brought so much were dismissed is sad. Justin, Jackie, Elizabeth and Sara could have been played for years in ongoing stories. The Stapleton sisters aways intrigued me. And all of the Bauers written out is just sad.
  23. Wow! Thanks for posting this. This magazine sure had a lot of covers. I wish I could see the Larry and Meredith story. I also see that Irna wrote a letter to explain why she killed Liz off on GL as she did for killing off Kathy.
