  1. Its so cool to have their first airdates, thanks for sharing. I wonder if this means Al Freeman actually joined in 1971.
  2. Is there a website that recaps Passions storylines? I have been looking for one but can't find anywhere that does.
  3. Thanks for posting that. Its nice to see an interview from earlier in her career. I have always loved her work and she seems so kind in real life too.
  4. That is a little weird. From what I know, she had been more of a recurring character, although equally important in story through Brad, Karen, Jenny and the baby. Also, the Clint and Echo story would soon be on and he would stand trial for "murder".
  5. Thanks for posting more of the recaps Carl. I see this is the beginning of the end for Pat and another odd period for the show. Considering Karen was about to become a hooker and Lana would soon kill herself, it is off someone would write to them.
  6. If I'm not mistaken, I think that Bill stayed with B&B into 1995 as executive producer, then Brad took everything over and as you said, that's when you could really tell.
  7. I love this storyline! I wish more of it was posted. I know Dorian's side of it is, but not Tina's. And later, Asa and Tina had to work together to save Kate and Cord when they returned to get treasure. Those scenes must have been awesome, I love the idea of Tina and Asa working together.
  8. Does anyone know anything about a Karen and Dorian cat fight? I have heard a few things but was never sure it actually happened.
  9. In 1977, Rita was pursued by Peter Chapman, but she pushed him away and he turned to Holly. In 1978, Peter and Holly's happiness was threatened by his guilt for not saving a drowning girl, Linnette Waterman in Santo Domingo where he was engaged to her sister, Maya. Peter returned to SD, found peace and reconciled with Maya, but she felt out of place in Springfield and left him. By the way, they filmed the underwater scenes of Peter in Nassau, the first underwater scenes ever on a soap. By 1980, Holly and Peter reconciled, but she ended their engagement when she left town and he reconciled with Maya and returned to Santo Domingo.
  10. I was thinking about all of the characters written out between 1980-1985 and I was shocked at how many and who they were. I included characters who left because of the actor. Roger and Holly-1980 Rita, MH Ed, Diane and Elizabeth-1981 Jackie, Carrie-1982 Justin, Sara, Ben, Eve, Amanda, Jennifer, Bill, Hope, Adam-1983 Bert, PS Ed, Mike, Hillary-1984 Quint, Nola, Annabelle, Tony, Katie, Floyd, Trish-1985. Did I miss anyone? And I have to say the fact that so many important vets and characters/actors who brought so much were dismissed is sad. Justin, Jackie, Elizabeth and Sara could have been played for years in ongoing stories. The Stapleton sisters aways intrigued me. And all of the Bauers written out is just sad.
  11. Wow! Thanks for posting this. This magazine sure had a lot of covers. I wish I could see the Larry and Meredith story. I also see that Irna wrote a letter to explain why she killed Liz off on GL as she did for killing off Kathy.
  12. Thanks again Roger. I like how your willing to talk to us about this. I really appreciate you and SoapClassics for all you'll are doing.
  13. Thanks again Roger! I have loved what you guys are doing and I was previously more into the ABC soaps but familiar with ATWT and GL. I have loved most of the released episodes. I have to ask though, are there any plans to get anything more from the Willows storyline with Lisa? I would love to see the episode where Lisa faces off with Hester at the mansion from 1979. I was so grateful to be able to see the one episode from that storyline on the 20 episode set.
  14. Thanks for posting that soapfan770! I love seeing all of those old photos. By the way, Kathryn Hays and Gillian Spencer looked so old with those haircuts back then. Both looked much younger even several years later.
  15. Thank you SO MUCH for putting that picture up. I would love to that episode. There is so little available of early OLTL and it seems to be the only soap in which that is the case. I was also wondering if there was a photo of Larry and Meredith's wedding. I have never found one.
  16. Was Lisa's role in the whole drug ring story small? ATWT was changing a lot around this time too. Thanks for posting that. I love reading all of these old articles you share with us!
  17. Does anyone know which GL book would be better? The 1987 or 1997 one? I am more interested in learning the earlier years of the show and was wondering which described it more in-depth.
  18. Thanks Matt and Carl! I know I read in the Soapcentral Bert Bauer profile that she and Bill moved to Springfield and only knew the Frazier couple, but I was curious because Robin and other characters were still on into 1967. Also, does anyone know the exact year Sara married Joe Werner? I have heard from several places it was either December 1970 or 1971but their all different.
  19. Does anyone know how they did the transition from Five Points to Selby Flatts to Springfield? I was reading over some recaps and saw that some characters on in the early 60s were still around in 1967 but Bert and Bill had already moved.
  20. Thanks for posting that 10 Years Ago this Month feature. I really enjoy this. How long did SOD do them? I have afew late 80s ones and they still did them, except with 3 shows and less detailed.
  21. Does anyone know anything about the 80s characters of Jade and Yank? They were on from 1985 to 1987 and introduced in the Asian Quarter story but I can't find anything past that.
  22. Schnessel's last big story was Mendorra, he left shortly after that. From his era, it was only the Tina, Viki and Buchanan stories that would go on to be remembered because they were the center of the show, I think it was more balanced out with O'Shea.
  23. Thanks for filling me in! This Infinity storyline sounds so bad. People talk about Eterna on OLTL and Possession on Days but this just sounds plain stupid. Did anyone enjoy it?
