  1. Does anyone know Jessica Dunphy left as Alison? Was it her choice? I just can't believe the difference in her Alison and Marnie's. I feel the show just stopped caring about casting decisions in the last four years.
  2. Thanks for posting the article about why Days was doing so well. Its sad that Doug and Julie pretty much never returned to the frontburner. And it took Suzanne Rogers years to return to the frontburner following her return. I wish Peter and Kristian still had the same chemistry- I don't know if its the writing or performance but I just don't see it anymore.
  3. I know they had mini-stories, nothing big. Of course they had Sammy Davis Jr on as his dying father, she had quadruplets or maybe triplets, their different baackgrounds had them clashing over her wild spending habits and at one point, I think she met an African Prince, but none of this became frontburner. I am not sure if they had an exit but after 9 years of being on, I hope they did.
  4. Thanks for posting another Behind the Scenes article. The 90s ones from the Reilly years are especially fun to read.
  5. Thanks for posting that! I wish they had done more with Bryan and Claudia.
  6. Who did Beverly Todd play and what was the story? I doubt there was a big one though, given the time period.
  7. Things really haven't changed. Its so funny seeing all of these past articles discussing writing changes and reboots. We're lucky to go a year without a 'reboot'.
  8. The Tracy James story was in 1986. By 1987, I don't think he had anything and didn't until late 1988, then he had story with Dan and Brenda going into late 1990. Sadly, that was it if I remember correctly.
  9. That is to funny. And MAB would definitely do this. You probably just gave her the next big casting idea.
  10. LOL, Carl. The sad thing is, this can't even be a joke with MAB and would probably happen.
  11. I heard the same thing. SOD did a brief article on that. Something about attempts to save shows or reboots. They said Bell was tired of the recasts and he said if one more person decided to leave, he would write out the entire Brooks family, so when Jamie Lyn Bauer chose to leave, he wrote them all out. I especially wish Leslie and Lorie could have stayed, but I am not a big recast fan so I understand. I still want Lorie back and Bauer is willing.
  12. How long was Susan Bernard on the show? I have never heard of her character.
  13. Wow. That seems kind of graphic. Wow. That seems kind of graphic.
  14. Thanks balozier. I appreciate your sharing that link. That would have been a lot to lose.
  15. That's horrible! I love the EON homepage. I learned a lot there, it is hands down the best website for any soap opera. They had so much information.
  16. Same here. This seems to be the best time to bring Scott back. Bring on some more Qs and have Scott and Heather scheme against them again.
  17. Thanks for sharing your opinion Carl. I just can't get caught up in those characters and I usually like the mother figures/vets the most. I just find them boring and out of place. That sounds harsh though, but when I compare them to characters of today, I would take themm.
  18. Did they ever bring the sister on? I actually love Amber so I wouldn't have minded her having a sister.
  19. What did you all think of Bea Reardon and Barbara Thorpe? Neither actress is horrible, I just can't seem to get caught up in their scenes.
  20. She still looks great! I wish Donna could have stuck around though her story had run out.
  21. SEARCH was doing so well for the networks to allow the show to tank the way it did. It's quiet sad for such a wonderful show to be mishandled.
  22. Thanks so much Carl for sharing these. I love seeing the ratings from these times. They really do fluctuate a lot too, but when you actually had a lot of soaps on doing their best, I suppose I can understand that because there are so many I would be watching myself.
  23. I was wondering the same thing. WeLoveSoaps posted several of them and One Life was the only one without it. They do such a great job recapping the shoows stories.
  24. Thank you so much for sharing that saynotoursoap. July 1973 was truly an action-packed month. I would rather see reruns of the classics than new episodes at this point.
  25. Was anything big going on for GH around that time? I am surprised to see them leading in the ratings. I thought the only time they reached number 1 then was when Audrey stood trial for murder?
