  1. I thought this episode was better than the last five or so, which I couldn't watch all the way through. Tika and Candace remain a bright spot of the show for me. Glad to see the ratings are up even if the show is still flawed.
  2. Thanks for sharing that! And that must have been the last attempt to create story for the Gannons. Especially Hank, but did he ever get much? Very interesting about Tea from the sidebar. However age did come back for a few months after this.
  3. Thanks for sharing that! Was a joy to see. Ellen Holly's Carla and Jacqueline Courtney's Pat are probably the two characters I have always wanted to see most of from the 70s.
  4. I have finally started watching Season 3 and I'm living it. Not sure I like it as much as Season 2 but it still beats the fourth season. I'm up to Jasmine Guy's first episode as Caitlin and she is GREAT. I love seeing her and Peter plotting. Does anyone else feel as though the baby plot with Jo and Kimberly was on the back burner compared to other stories?
  5. Wow thanks for sharing that. I had never heard they proposed that story.
  6. Donna's going to have a pill addiction soon? I was really starting to enjoy the show but I can't watch her attempt drama again. She's great at comedy and never should have been a dramatic lead (second to Kelly of course).
  7. I used to avoid the later years because I found them boring but I'm also rewatching on the SN weekends and I'm really enjoying Season 8. I found the end of Season 7 incredibly dull and boring (started with the hostage episode and the end of Donna's stalker story). I'm surprised by how much I've enjoyed Steve with Hilary Swank's character but I'm not sure where they possibly could have gone with them story-wise.
  8. I love her as Nora and while I'm a bigger OLTL fan than ATWT, I would have preferred Hillary as Margo rather than Ellen, who I never liked when I watched on and off from 2006-2010. She was so cold and boring.
  9. Thanks for sharing all of that. Perhaps it was just that one scene/episode. I wanted to like Connor but my mind was made up on Mark. I'm going to have to YouTube some Lucinda/Connor, that sounds like it could be great and I could see ART with a talented scene partner.
  10. I'm re-watching the soap Classics DVDs and watching the episode where John humiliates Lisa and it opens with Mark and Connor. Were they popular? Because I can't stand either actor, their both cringeworthy. I felt like I was watching a parody of a soap opera. The show wasn't exactly exciting then but they stood out as terrible to me.
  11. Nice interview and so well written. Thanks for sharing!
  12. Loved the finale. The show has been hit or miss the past several episodes but that was just gold. I hope Season 3 keeps it up because I used to love the show and its been a hot mess for too long.
  13. I have to admit they are kind of growing on me. Not as bad as I thought they would be. I've hated Brooke all throughout Season 4 and was finally starting to at least pity her when she hit her head in the pool. Bad timing.
  14. I had heard about Jake and Jane getting involved and couldn't picture it but now that I have watched it..I still don't know what to think. I didn't like the kiss they had with him falling into the pool with her though. Wasn't feeling it. I was enjoying Jane using Michael and that cliffhanger with her having the stroke was amazing but that excitement died down for me once they pushed her towards Jake.
  15. Its been a while since I have watched Season 2 and I've only seen a few Season 3 episodes but what's up with Sydney's fashion in Season 4? Its like she's stuck in the 60s. I don't remember her dressing like that in Season 2.
  16. Thanks for sharing that Paul Raven. Sounds like an interesting book. I wasn't even alive during the time it was on but Search For Tomorrow has always intrigued me, at least up until the early 80s.
  17. Wow! Thanks, I had no idea that episode was up. Can't wait to watch.
  18. I didn't know Eileen Siegel ws also a guest on AMC. What did she do? As far as I know, only Larry appeared. And before that, GH's Steve. Hardy was a guest on OLTL. I would like to see the earlier years as well. Anything with Gillian's Viki/Niki or the Carla passing for white would be a dream come true but I have honestly lost hope.
  19. I have picked back up with season 4 right after Jack died. I'm still enjoying it but their seems to be so much unnecessary conflict like Brooke's dad flipping out when Alison was touching Ms. Armstrong's door and Jake getting mad that Jo was going to Hawaii with Richard not knowing she did not yet know Jane wasn't coming. I understand where the conflict was coming from but it came off bad and lazy to me. Season 4 is kind of hit or miss. I think Season 2 will forever be my favorite.
  20. What a wonderful recap! Thank you so much, as always. So Erika's first major story as Viki was the Marcy Wade plot. She started off with what must have been frontburner story.
  21. The OLTL book says they did. Was it Marilyn's choice to leave as Wanda in 1994 or did they just drop her? I miss Wanda too.
  22. Thanks! I thought he was just around for the first Viki/Niki story and then returned in 1985.
  23. Thanks for sharing that article! I'm obsessed with the first decade of OLTL. I didn't realize Marcus Polk was still around in 1973. Does anyone know how long he was on the show?
  24. Thanks for posting that. Its incredibly sad and you don't find interviews like that today.
  25. I've seen a few clips of the later years and read season recaps and everything after the wedding shooting sounds dreadful but I still plan to watch what has been released so far.
