  1. Wait so they actually had Marlena possessed by the devil a second time? How did I miss this? And WTF was that with Marlena snatching Belle by the throat but she just sits there as if she's not in danger, pain, anything? Lol.
  2. This show just fascinates me. I am dying to see the Belle/Amy feud and that Brooke Lawrence story.
  3. Thanks for the help guys!
  4. Agreed! I'm still months behind but peaked ahead to 1969. The Ed/Anna story has been surprisingly at the forefront. I wonder if any other soaps briefly had frontburner black characters like the Doctors. Does anyone happen to have Ed and Anna's first airdates?
  5. After two years I'm finally watching season one. It's absolutely great, the only downside being Matthew. He has no chemistry with Krystle or Claudia and just plain doesn't fit in. I don't mind Lindsey. She's just as neurotic as Claudia and I love it! But Matthew and that oil rig nonsense is a waste of time. I simply don't care. Steven and Fallon are at their best here in season one. I can't believe how much they destroyed them. Steven and Claudia's affair is intriguing. Its too bad her marriage to Matthew is boring because it's the only downside to the story. Only other thing bothering me is Blake randomly raping Krystle and the two minute non apology he gave her unless I missed something?
  6. I'm way behind but caught up a little on recent episodes. Nick and Althea remain my favorites. I could watch them all day long. I loved the episode where they got engaged. Now that they have softened his character he's a joy to watch. I'm really enjoying Anna and Ed's story. I didn't think we'd be seeing them featured as much. The Maggie recast is hard for me to adjust too but she's here to say and as much as I thought I would enjoy Karen, I loathe her and every story she's involved in. I just don't find her fun at all.
  7. Thats so cool thanks for sharing that. She really is one of the best parts of the show.
  8. Oh, forgot to add how much I loved Maggie's line about how someone are born to do housework and she and Althea were born to play with stethoscopes. Another example of their being progressive.
  9. I agree Paul Raven. Its incredibly pathetic that a show airing 46 years ago is more mature and progressive than the daytime soaps of today. I've finally caught up. So glad that Althea is back even though only briefly so far. As mentioned above I'm really happy Matt Was the one to save Liz and I can't wait to see Nick's reaction. Hopefully its calm and not his usual yelling. I seem to enjoy Ruth's breakdown story as long as it stays on the back burner. I get tired of it fast. Wouldn't it have been usual for Bill to drink in front of her in those days? Wasn't alcoholism treated differently then?
  10. Alex had a sister? Wow. Never knew that character existed much less was related to Alex.
  11. Thanks Robbwolff! Glad at least one is back. Will have to tune back in.
  12. Are Althea and Liz back yet? I honestly lost interest in their absence.
  13. Wow thanks for sharing those. Ive never seen either of those. Wish Bill Bell's reign was available to the public.
  14. Ah! Thanks for clarifying, I was hoping we would be able to see it.
  15. I absolutely hate this Norman Bunker character but I do wonder where they are going with this. Carolee and Liz's friendship has been a nice twist. The idea of them as roommates was genius. Althea's therapy session was truly nice it was great to see her finally open up about her sons death and what caused her break up with Nick. I like how much in denial she is that she ever loved him. I don't want to spoil the story if it hasn't already aired but has the story with Phillip Townsend and Liz already aired? Phillip is listed in the February 1968 script posted earlier in the thread but hasn't been seen yet. Then again the story of Liz drugging herself is what led to the Phillip story and that apparently happened in 1967.
  16. I wish they would do more with John. Does anyone know how long ago he had fallen for Liz? All he does is argue with that jerk Nick and visit Polly. I felt TERRIBLE for Carolee, left a third wheel on her own date night. I really really wish we could have seen her and Steve's first date though, they could have cut out some of those long John/Polly scenes.
  17. The show remains top notch. I hope its doing well for RTV. Its nice to "step back in time" and I'm enjoying this so much I could care less to watch the present shows, save B&B. Its quite an adjustment to see all the smoking, particularly with the women. That would be so cliche and forced on a soap now And I was really shocked at Carolee's line about slitting her wrist over the holiday cheeriness. People say that all the time today but I rarely hear it on TV or soaps I should say.
  18. That was so good. Loved the scenes with Tyrese and the baby. And that ending!
  19. Thanks for sharing that! I'll have to check those out for each day.
  20. Caught up in all the episodes and this show is just superb. I can't get enough of it. Maggie and Althea remain my favorites. I love all the therapy scenes. The show isn't melodramatic at all. It must have really stood out from say As the World Turns at this time. Although I do love melodrama and over the top soap, they are really impressing.
  21. Could someone share the link with me as well please? Dying to see more!
  22. That would be real nice if they would share the synopses. Something is better than nothing and there is so little information on the storylines of that era.
  23. Loved it! Hope they continue to post despite the freezing. Love the 60s fashions and Althea and Maggie are already favorites of mine. I really like this Maggie and just read snw gets recast? The Nick and John characters also interest me but Matt has to grow on me. I was back and forth with him. Such a pleasure to see a mature soap episode, from the 60s, in color and such amazing quality.
  24. Agreed! Hopefully they can maintain this momentum because I'm loving it. Hate Gideon too but I love messed up Charlotte.
