  1. One of the writers, T. Diane Anderson. Adrienne Britt died in 1974. I don't know about playing Vera, but she WAS on GL, though it was pre-Alexandra. This is from 1973. Ted Shine was another writer.
  2. The newspapers made a hash of spelling the actors and characters names so keep that in mind when reading, lol. It seems Howard Rollins was originally slated to play the oldest son, Jet, but later he played the middle son, Slick, which seemed like a juicier role based on the synopses I've seen. The Robinsons also had a 12-year old son named Tony. The Encyclopedia of Television Programs lists the following actors and roles: Mae Robinson, the mother (Barbara Healy) Bull Robinson, her husband (Gene Cole; Clayton Corbin) Jet Robinson, eldest son (Curt Stewart) Slick Robinson, the middle son (Darryl F. Hill; Howard Rollins) Tony Robinson, the youngest son (Tyrone Jones) Kathy Robinson, their daughter (Sandra Sharp) J. T. Robinson, Mae's half brother (Arthur French) --- has the same last name as her husband so don't know the story behind that Grandma Robinson (Alfredine Parham) Cynthia, a friend (Janet League) Emily, a friend (Frances Foster) Mrs. Ryder, grandma's friend (Birdie Hale) Pearlina, Slick's girlfriend (Pat Picketts)
  3. Thanks! I've found some synopses and I've been typing up those. Here's the link to the very short clip from Maryland Public Television, with Barbara Healy (Mae) and Alfredine Parham Brown (Grandma) for those who didn't see it. https://av.lib.umd.edu/media_objects/1544bp847
  4. @slick jonesBill Cobbs also appeared on "Our Street," the serial that aired on PBS/Maryland Public Television. Would be sometime between 1970-1974. @DRW50 I see you started a thread on "Our Street," that has been discontinued so I can't post on that thread. I've found some info about that show that I'll post when I compile it all. But, here's a very brief clip from 1972, which shows Alfredine Parham Brown (Grandma) and Barbara Healy (Mae). https://av.lib.umd.edu/media_objects/1544bp847 An additional article about Nancy Mulvey.
  5. I recognize the man too but can't think of his name. First name maybe Bill? I don't think that's Mary either.
  6. Wow, I haven't ever seen a good clip of John Fitzpatrick since he left AW. I loved his Willis. He's as cute as I remember, lol.
  7. A few synopses: The townspeople to honor Joseph Jolly; however, before he is to speak at the meeting, Sam, his assistant, sadly reports to Jolly that their star boarder, Scotty MacDougal, is missing. Mr. Jolly and his pets are involved in a local flood. When they learn a cat is stranded on the roof of a nearby farmhouse, they go to her rescue and and Mr. Jolly is successful on removing her safely to the hotel. The cat's owner, pleased at this rescue, presents Mr. Jolly with a large box containing a reward. For Thanksgiving, Mr. Jolly tells the story of Strutter, the turkey, emphasizing a turkey's eye view of this particular season. Farmer Cy Perkins warns Mr. Jolly that some of his pets are stealing chickens. Little Art Welch, the runaway youth, urged by the pets, gives himself up in order to save Mr. Jolly from jail. Sam and Dusty stay at the hotel, while the Jollys, Agnes, and Willie, go to the circus, and Dusty forgets to close the kennel door for the night. It is. I had no idea. @slick jones do you have Lloyd Richards on your soap hopper list? If not, I'd like to request it. He was in several radio soaps. Thanks.
  8. Lloyd Richards went on to be a very successful director, including on Broadway.
  9. Found a few items re Hotel for Pets. I wonder whether this was geared toward children. Apparently, the animals talked. Sounds like something I would like when I was a kid, lol.
  10. Thanks for posting!
  11. Lanna Saunders and Edward Mallory had died earlier in 2007. I think that's the reason for the flashbacks.
  12. I couldn't find anything re Sandy Duncan, or the Helen Carter character.
  13. It's on Tubi. Pre-Barnabas episodes can be found at Dark Shadows The Beginning. The remainder at Dark Shadows. https://tubitv.com/series/300004693/dark-shadows-the-beginning/season-1 https://tubitv.com/series/4638/dark-shadows
  14. I watched Elizabeth as Meg too. I remember getting a kick out of Lou-Ann Poovie being on a soap opera. That period was the first time I watched GH.
  15. Thanks @DRW50. I had not seen that one before.
  16. Thanks for the update @slick jones. So sorry this happened.
  17. Oh no! Thanks for letting us know. Geesh.
  18. Thanks everyone for the updates!
  19. Thanks for posting @GymnastGuy. I watched this when I was a kid but don't remember any of the plots. Just the cute guys and the music acts, lol.
  20. Is that Gail Brown in the back next to Ricky Paull Goldin? And Leonie Norton in front of her?
