Unless Trump is arrested (again) and then jailed immediately, I have no doubt he will be the nominee. Unfortunate but it is what it is.

YR promo: Chance has been shot
Only Josh Griffith could make a legacy character getting shot boring.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Such a lame murder mystery. And to have a murder mystery where all the Dingles and their counterparts are suspects? 🤮

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
The impending exits of two characters are dragging this show down. So not interested in the inconsistent characterization of some of the characters involved...

So trying to get the timeline right, Harding Lemary returned to AW and then the writers strike happened, and then Donna Swajeski took over after the strike?

In an ideal world, Wisner and Lorraine should have succeeded Nancy Curlee after she left GL.

OLTL is definitely a force to be reckoned with in ratings department.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Definitely don't believe Cindy has forgiven Bobby. You'll see soon she still treats him like dirt, so the resentment is still there bubbling under the surface.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Someone pointed out on DS whether Lauren this time will simply be an extension of the Beale family, or if they will focus on her Branning roots. With the way the writing is these days, I'm leaning towards more of an extension of the Beale drama.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Kim is still around they had just wrapped up her PTSD storyline from when she crashed her car in the square. I think it was wrapped up before the start of August. All I can say is is there is a nice treat for fans of Fatboy towards the end of August. 🤐

Ratings from the 80's
Looking back, I've underestimated what a phenomenon AMC was back in the 80s. I'd say it's more consistent ratings wise compared to any other soap on ABC at the time, that includes GH.

Whatever has happened to this soap opera performer?
She's aged quite nicely!

What was the moment and exact storyline that made you love that particular soap opera?
Guiding Light; some of my earliest memories of this show will be the Springfield black out and David Grant going on the run. Such a exceptional time period for the show, felt like I could relate to so many characters on the canvas at the time. DAYS: First Carly buried alive, and second it was the possession storyline/Sami's schemes that sealed the deal. OLTL: Didn't become a permanent fan until Tomlin/Whitesell/Broderick, with the reveal that Natalie and Jess were twins, Al/Jenn scheming, and the LIVE show. Some of it were gimmicks, but it drew me in, and the stories had a bit of heart to them.
