  1. Thanks. I still couldn't get it to work anywhere else but I'm glad it works here.
  2. He looks cute there. They should retire the band. I love the pervy grin on Rochefort. How did you manage to post an Instagram photo??
  3. I found two more 2002 episodes I hadn't uploaded, and I thought this one might interest some here. It's the last episode for Maureen Lipman as Lillian Spencer, the fill-in character very hastily added to scripts due to Julie Goodyear's unexpected exit. The story of a fussy pub manageress and her idle children is a bit thin (and she isn't like Annie Walker at all, in spite of what some say), but it's entertaining enough, and she brings out the best in John Savident. The best part of this episode is Blanche grieving the end of her relationship with Archie, and grieving being so old and pathetic. Blanche was so often written as a caricature in Maggie Jones' last stint on Corrie that I was startled to see an episode that has so much of the "old" Blanche peeking through - the one I vastly preferred.
  4. Thanks. Did Phoebe have much to say? Ronette has to be one of my favorite minor-but-not-minor TV characters of all time.
  5. If MAB had written Cane and Philip like this the story would have been a hell of a lot more entertaining. Olivia! "My son is having a baby with the devil's daughter" - good line. On Doctor Who a character (Leela) once changed eye color because of an explosion. Maybe Sheila's offspring are part-Sevateem.
  6. I'd be more surprised if it weren't for soaps always hiring headwriters now based on who somebody knows or who is the "name."
  7. Embarrassing and frightening all at once. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/jeb-bush-anchor-babies-asian-immigrants http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/scott-walker-xi-jinping-markets
  8. I kind of felt like Bartlett was more ill at ease on Looking than GL (but then that show was ponderous and he didn't really have much chemistry with his main co-stars), but he got better with time. I agree with a lot of what you said (although I don't think "Otalia" was an attempt to rip off ATWT), but I do think the last or so of the show had the right idea, and felt more like GL to me than anything from 1993 or 1994 on. It's just too bad it wasn't better executed.
  9. Didn't he try this months ago? It reminds me of the part in the New York article where a black woman said she came forward because she saw that people were saying that a black man was being set up by white women and she wasn't going to let that happen.
  10. I never really cared about Susan regardless of who played her. I'm one of the few who never saw the great appeal in Brittany Snow. The character often seemed flat and contrived. I didn't mind Cyrus, mostly because at least Murray Bartlett had some charisma, and he wasn't always yelling in my ear like that greaseball Jonathan.
  11. Oh good. Thanks.
  12. Someone on DS said Sarah Phelps will be writing another episode, another one that's Sharon-heavy.
  13. Yes, probably so. Leonard was a great character on Corrie - they were wise to use more of him. The show also had Betty Driver pre-Corrie.
  14. Thank you for all those gorgeous high quality stills from Tribute. I had no idea they had so many RH actors. And everyone in the cast was on a soap at one time. It tells you how vital daytime was to New York actors. Ugh

  16. Lauren Roman (ex-Laura Kirk, AMC) seems to have her own Youtube channel. Most of it was just religious material but she also put up an acting reel.
  17. Some beautiful scenes with Liz and Denise. I sure miss this Liz... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU42H9uJZuo
  18. It's not really a statement about them but about the parents who according to Trump come here two minutes prior to delivery and then say "My Son, The American". I don't see how this qualifies as a slur, or even why using the term is controversial. Is anyone denying this goes on? Of course it's about them. It's about the idea that they are some type of secret weapon of wickedness of their parents. And yes it does go on, but absolutely nothing he or any other Republican is saying will help the situation, because it's all about macho posturing.
  19. Thanks. Sorry about Deborah.
