  1. Bond Gideon. For temp recasts, Melinda Fee.
  2. Sadly it seems like the far right will be the biggest winners of this, as they will be emboldened, and they can still continue to just let the ACA (and millions of people) die. This will vindicate their view that nothing but repeal is necessary.
  3. I was surprised to see Donna in there as she likely isn't in the update...I guess they just liked the shots of her.
  4. @I Am A Swede someone has been putting up some '80s Emmerdale Farm (I also have some early '90s that I put on my Jerry Sugden channel but that may be too new for you).
  5. Thanks. I remember she tried to get another person to post here (an actor) but I don't know if they were able to get approved. Sadly she only posted a few times as there wasn't much interest.
  6. It's not fair and not entirely true, but I know many consider them to be selfish, because they never had the struggles that their parents did (Depression, WWII). They just want whatever they can get. Again that's a generalization, so please no one yell at me for that, but I think it does match some Boomers.
  7. Are those old Eddie Drueding clips or are they new?
  8. There are always rumors that she wants to run for governor.
  9. Thanks. Nice of them to do that. I didn't realize there'd been a long demand for the book to be put out until you mentioned it to me but I'm glad they finally agreed. I can't imagine it's easy for her to act that diary so I give her a lot of credit.
  10. In Duterte news...not that this actually effects any policy in the Philippines, but this is some of the most egregious backtracking and lying I've seen even for modern politics. When I read that he'd previously supported gay marriage I thought it was just the generic statements that even Trump made, that you know don't really mean a whole lot, but no, he was actually going on about how the Bible should be Adam, Eve, and the gays. And now he's going on about how people want to stop men and women as marriage, and also making transphobic comments. I wonder if he's still popular over there or if his insability has worn off the shine. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/20/world/asia/duterte-same-sex-marriage-philippines.html?_r=0
  11. I think he's terrified of whatever things his father put in his head many decades ago, but I don't think he has the ability to process the world. I don't know how many here ever saw that Doctor Who episode where Celia Imrie is a big villain and at the end is regressed to a crying child in a grown woman's body, but that's what he reminds me of sometimes.
  12. I don't mean to be condescending but do people out there still believe those "White House staffer" Twitter accounts are real?
  13. I think they are very ideological and cold but I don't believe they would have done anything like that. The Kochs in particular always seem to try to keep a step back and are focused on their image. Some other people supporting Trump, I wouldn't be shocked...
  14. What do you think the story was about?
  15. It mostly just made me sad, mostly because it showed, as you said, that they just didn't get it. They were blindsided because they actually thought he gave a damn about them. I do have a bit of respect for the man who said if he lost his schooling and job because of Trump he'd just suck it up. Or I would if he hadn't voted for that mess. I also appreciated that they went outside the normal focus and also interviewed people who hadn't voted or who may not have voted for Trump. Someone really needs to get these people out on the streets protesting. If there's one thing Republicans will be terrified of it's middle-aged white people protesting.
  16. To me the Tina stuff was the best of the week. Bex's dilemma makes me feel sorry for her but the other characters involved are unwatchable.
  17. An article on what Merkel had to tolerate in order to maintain harmony. http://www.politico.eu/article/merkels-ivanka-moment/
  18. I read some more and it looks like maybe he sampled No Scrubs, which they wrote. (I couldn't hear No Scrubs in it but there are a few traces). It's funny because his new album promo seems to be talking way too much about his sex life just as that has become way too much of a topic with Kandi and Pinto. All I could think was I hope Kandi warned him that if Porsha comes calling, to roll up the drawbridge.
  19. Thanks. Those golden mask photos always remind me of Moffat's Doctor Who.
  20. So Kandi and her partner Tiny were involved writing in this Ed Sheeran song. I guess they will be getting some good money off that.
  21. It's good to see you posting here again. I hope you can talk with us in the SB thread.
  22. I don't really see the comparison at this point. If Trump knew what he was doing, yes. I'd say if we're going to make that comparison now it's going to be with some of the other Republicans who are getting away with things because Trump is the distraction.
